Is Midna Dead? (Zelda Theory)

The Legend of Zelda has had many side characters; but Midna from Twilight Princess usually takes the cake as the best of them all. Allied with Link, she undergoes a deep character development from villainous and selfish to heroic and caring; but for some reason decides to leave the World of Light at the end of the game... forever. She shatters the Mirror of Twilight before saying the infamous last phrase: "See You Later." Could this scene that has pulled at our heart strings all these years possibly hold an even darker secret?
