@@michaelrawlings6533 and that was well before he had a hit and became famous. What has that got to do with tribute acts trying to emulate Bowie, not just his singing voice ( which none achieve) but also his stage presence (which none can ever achieve). Unfortunately a lot of people who like these tribute acts have never seen the man live.
@@andrewwilson3448 I've seen him live 3 times, beginning in 1977. While no one can ever match Bowie, Brighton's performance is uncanny. Here they are together in a Vittel commercial: th-cam.com/video/hb2JhwRYC_c/w-d-xo.html
David Bowie's vocal range was limited, but what he did with that range was amazing. On the other hand, trying to cover Freddie Mercury's vocals are a different story. Freddie had an amazing vocal range , that some say was 5 octaves. 5 octaves might be a bit of an overstatement I believe, but even a 3 octave range is awesome. This band is doing a pretty good representation of David Bowie and company. Any movie made about David Bowie should use David Brighton to play the part.
Bowie is reported to have had a vocal range of over three and a half octaves. In songs like 'Sweet Thing', he would employ distinctive falsetto flourishes and ornaments taking the voice even higher (up to soprano top Fs, apparently). In some songs he double-tracked his own vocal melodies in two different octaves. -www.classicfm.com/
'Bowie's vocal range was limited' 😆 are you serious? Do yourself a favour, listen to 'Sweet Thing' intro 'it's safe in the city ......' then listen to 'Ashes to Ashes' intro. If you're going to make statements like this you need to research your subject matter even a little

People obsessed with image and appearance will rave over this. But people who know the difference between a tribute and a costume will see right through it. If you want to tell if it's a tribute to Bowie listen without watching. Then you'll realise it's a bar room band in costumes. Most people could do that if they were inclined. Bowie will be up there laughing no doubt. Thankfully he had a sense of humour as well as stage presence and a superb voice.
basically he is identical BUT never ever should a masterpiece like this be replicated by a replicant. sorry, it’s anathema. besides nobody could ever sing it like freddy mercury.
Cover americano é outro nível. 😎😎😎😎😎Me recuso a fazer cover se não for assim. 😎😎😎😎😎😎perfect cover, I'm sorry for the Portuguese, I said in Portuguese that if it's not a cover like that I won't even do it.
As a Bowie fanatic for 50 years, I can't class it as a favourite. However ......... it is by no means a 'bad' song. His vocal parts in it are beautiful. Bowie that is ...... this guy is having a fair crack at it :)
Pretty damn good tribute. Not sure why people want to film it but I guess that's the world we live in now. Speaking of which, Trump should probably use this song as his anthem, until he's convicted and then switch to Folsom Prison Blues.
I saw Bowie twice in 1974 in Boston. Diamond Dogs and Soul tours. Beyond magic.
No one is like David Bowie , he's unreachable. RIP 🎷👨🎤🎸
Calling the Coachhouse first thing tomorrow. Wish I had known sooner.

Wow. You fooled me there for a second....

kudos to the guitarist hitting Freddie's high notes! @_@ also, eerie.

So much faith oh yes!
Oh Dear! Unfortunately Bowie was so unique with regards to the way he sang and had presence that no tribute can get near to him.
Unfortunately, as long as he insists on remaining dead this is as close as it gets.
Bowie admitted that he didn’t think much of his own voice and admitted he emulated singer/songwriter Anthony Newley and others early on in his career.

Brighton es un lugar en donde también vivió BOWIE 🎵
And the name of the fake Bowie?

Clearly you don't know how good Bowie was at singing, rated one of the best.
Случайно нашла это видео. Это что за местность, где выступают музыканты?

Not sure it s Bowie.

Better than them embarrassing guys on the celebration

In real life, Bowie often used his status to lift others up and always praised the other members of his band on stage.

The worst song Bowie ever had the misfortune to record let alone release.
