I thought Mary went blind as a result of scarlet fever, not a stroke.

What Laura wrote is the truth , but not the whole truth- Unpleasant details were left out , but were included in her original biography "" Pioneer Girl "" Sadly , although Laura's parents had 5 children , There was only one grand child Rose Wilder Lane, and there are no direct descendants , although there are still descendants of Almanzo's brothers Royal and Perley Wilder , and his sister Eliza Jane Wilder.

I believe there were descendants from Charles' brothers/uncles/relatives that probably passed on the "Ingalls" name.

What a lie! She didn't have a tragic ending. Her life was interesting enough without you lying about it. Geez!
