Fun fact, xbox 360 control freeks fit the DS4. I just used the same ones. Cqc the green standard ones were the best for me. They turned my 360 knobs into PS knobs. The sniper freeks were always a bit too high for me.
I have an Astro controller and a regular PS4 controller. Gonna be honest... The Astro controller is hands down the most amazing controller I have ever used, and probably ever will use. What it offers is unbelievably amazing. Just save up some money over time and buy a refurbished one for $30 cheaper than a brand new one (they don't make and sell new ones anyway). It has so many legitimately useful features compared to a regular PS4 controller with some accessories attached to it, trust me. This was absolutely worth the $200 dollars and ever since I got one I've been so happy.
I guess the biggest issue for me is that I do have a scuf controller, 2 of them. I have the impact and the vantage 2 (which was discontinued a year later e.e). I loved them for a while. However the sticks are cheap and wear out after a couple months because it's just crazy cheap rubber. The sticks drift on the vantage and I didn't even have it for more than 4 months at the time. The greatest advantage they can offer is the fact that they have 4 paddles instead of 2. The paddles break because they're cheap, and they still charge a $230-$250 price tag and shipping on them. As much as I loved it, I hate it just as much.

For control freakz, the thing is, it depends which game you are playing. It helps you do quick and precise snaps on target but tracking with micro adjustments can be more of a challenge. As an Apex Legends player/youtuber I can tell you that control freakz will not be good on Apex since the TTK (time to kill) is very high and requires a lot of tracking with micro adjustments. If you are playing COD games tho, the TTK is much shorter so it is good on that game. On COD, Warzone for example, the one that has the precise first shot on target usually wins so yes control freakz may work there.

There were many things you didn't cover that i would like to expand on. For example the strike pack and PS4 will not work out of the box if you wire it up to the PC. You have to install what i call suspicious software and even after you do that you lose the touchpad. Also for people wanting to save money, if you buy a Evil controller or a Battle Beaver controller you can turn you buttons into Tactile or digital triggers and bumpers and use the dual button attachment and not get their paddle system. I fee the Dual button attachment is a superior product to scuff paddles as well. Scuff paddles are garbage. Also the Dual button attachment and strike are not compatible with SCUF controllers as well.
@Panda Cheeks no, the guy we're commenting on has a detroit tigers logo for his pfp. i said go tigers because i too appreciate the detroit tigers. i am not homo.
I bought this couple months back and it was well worth it. I use control freaks. And the back button. I seen a streamer use this before and it was great.
I prefer using claw ( right hand pointer finger on the triangle, square, circle and x ) and middle fingers on the L2 R2 and R1. It's free and very efficient
0:29 those "warranty void if removed" stickers mean nothing in the USA, and in fact they are illegal. Your warranty cannot be void for removing a sticker or opening a device, so long as you don't cause any damage to the device by doing so.
I like the galaxy control creeks as for me they profit the best feeling and the height on right thumb stick. But that’s personal preference. I will say that the control freeks last very long, I’ve had mine for 3 years ( assuming you don’t throw your controller) and they haven’t lost even a bit of the grip
Because you can’t ban what amounts to button macros. You aren’t changing the games script or even interacting with it so it’s undetectable. BTW those mods aren’t as good as guys like this would have you believe. They don’t give you aimbot aiming or anything near it and if you use any weapon attachments then the weapon mods don’t work and in some cases will make your weapons perform much worse.
I have been using the strikepack for over a year. Bought it mostly for the paddles, but the device also has a lot of other useful features. The mods are great and so is the build quality. It’s by no means an aim not, as it has no interface with the actual game. It just overrides the output from the controller with some programmable goodness.
If you don't want to use backbuttons or backbuttons are just unavailable in your region, then learning how to play claw isn't that bad of an idea. It removes the need to move your thumbs from the thumbstick without adding bulk to your controller, all for free. Also, if you don't think that kontrolfreeks are worth their price tag, Amazon has some other options that are way cheaper and do just about the same thing.
Hey John I watched your video here and I bought the kontrol freaks and the playstation backpaddles. And holy crap was I missing out, thank you so much man for this video! You've made playing Elite Dangerous so much better for me thank you. 👏👍
I'm glad I don't play many competitive games, because these are actually useful to me. Only one I wouldn't get is the back paddles, seems a bit extra but the domed joysticks will help in Ghost of Tsushima with the aiming (although it's not really hard to begin with) and the battery pack, I mean everyone likes extra playing time
I had the older strike pack for xbox to get the back paddles and a wired connection to save on batteries and get a faster connection. Though it gives you power the signal was still transmitted wirelessly, it also started to shock me after a while from the mic port or near the rumble motors. The cable also become slightly loose after a few months and eventually wasn't usable anymore as it would constantly disconnect.

Instead of taking your controller apart for another battery, you can just use a 3m charging cable while gaming. Not expensive, and your battery time is equal to unlimited. If not in use, you can just roll it and store it in almost any place. It is long enough to go around a table, under it, or above anything that is between you and your console. And you don't have to charge your controller between gaming sessions.

Also the Dual button attachment and strike are not compatible with SCUF controllers as well.
go tigers
@@NickSmith-zm4kw are you a homosexual?
@Panda Cheeks no, the guy we're commenting on has a detroit tigers logo for his pfp. i said go tigers because i too appreciate the detroit tigers. i am not homo.
For those wondering the official ps4 back button attachment is now less than $10 usd at some places.
Tx again Mr Glasscock. Your vids are always 5 stars
I bought this couple months back and it was well worth it.
I use control freaks. And the back button. I seen a streamer use this before and it was great.
Thanks bro! Will definitely perform these upgrades since I just bought my PS4 controller to play Warzone and Fortnite.
Liked and Subbed 😁👊🏼
Me who doesn't even have PS2 .
But yet I click the vid 😁 .
You can also buy a 8ft phone charger cable that has the same plug in as the ps4 remote.
I prefer using claw ( right hand pointer finger on the triangle, square, circle and x ) and middle fingers on the L2 R2 and R1. It's free and very efficient
This is off topic but can you do a dumaos 3.0 review for us please 🙏🏽
😉
John Glasscock thank you 🙏🏽😁
Lol I thaught he said dumbass 3.0
@@numaan224 me too lmao
This was an extremely informative video. Thank you!
This is why I’m a subscriber. Very informative, especially since I’m short on cash
0:29 those "warranty void if removed" stickers mean nothing in the USA, and in fact they are illegal. Your warranty cannot be void for removing a sticker or opening a device, so long as you don't cause any damage to the device by doing so.
Even though I don't have a PlayStation anymore cuz it broke I still watch this
I dont think sony knew about this 😂
Sony made the back button - it's meta
I like the galaxy control creeks as for me they profit the best feeling and the height on right thumb stick. But that’s personal preference. I will say that the control freeks last very long, I’ve had mine for 3 years ( assuming you don’t throw your controller) and they haven’t lost even a bit of the grip
Strikepack literally has controller mods, I don't know how they're not banned
TRUEE, I used to be a minecraft ps4 pvp player and everyone started used rapid fire which makes you click 25 cps
It just overrides the output from the controller with some programmable goodness.
my friend had a strikepack and used rapid fire for his dmr on siege
I used the playstation paddles for a long time and absolutely loved them well worth the money in my opinion
Me: owns an Xbox
Also me: Ahh, yes this will definitely be useful in the future.
Thanks I wish I had money is there a good cable you know of that's 15 feet or longer
Try Ebay or Amazon bud, probably be your best i think. Though, you could always try Wish if your really desperate 😹
According to another one of his videos, the original ds4s actually have MORE input lag when using the USB cable......
@@TheGargoylesDen I didn't know that thanks
Hey John I watched your video here and I bought the kontrol freaks and the playstation backpaddles. And holy crap was I missing out, thank you so much man for this video! You've made playing Elite Dangerous so much better for me thank you. 👏👍
My strike back was a POS. It would literally push itself out of the port anytime I had to set my controller down. Pissed me off so bad
I saved this, I play a lot of FPS. Wow I've been in the dark, sleeping on this stuff. I'll have to buy this stuff n give it a try.
I'm glad I don't play many competitive games, because these are actually useful to me. Only one I wouldn't get is the back paddles, seems a bit extra but the domed joysticks will help in Ghost of Tsushima with the aiming (although it's not really hard to begin with) and the battery pack, I mean everyone likes extra playing time
TH-camrs definitely prefer the Strike Pack 👀
100% cheating
I had the older strike pack for xbox to get the back paddles and a wired connection to save on batteries and get a faster connection. Though it gives you power the signal was still transmitted wirelessly, it also started to shock me after a while from the mic port or near the rumble motors. The cable also become slightly loose after a few months and eventually wasn't usable anymore as it would constantly disconnect.
I got a suggestion, get good so you don’t need a strike pack and buy a controller with back buttons/paddles 🤙🏼
@@SNFXVlogs I have a thrustmaster Eswapx these days. Have had the elite 2 which was garbage defective from factory. I used the strike pack to save on batterie hassle and getting a faster response time I still don't usually use the back buttons and if I do I use only 2. Been online gaming for over 25 years I'm good enough and have played in a few tournaments years ago second in a rainbow 6 tournament the first game.
@@Rockerrobin Okay that’s fine if you didn’t use it for cheating purposes, The first Elite controller is flawless compared to the second one and nice I used to play R6 league before it became bad
also if you are comfortable taking your controller apart there are soo many options to designing your controller. There are also 4 buttom attachments for around £/$35 for people comfortable taking it apart.
I like how he shouts out the guys who have a younger brother and have to suffer sharing a game system
Many I'm to comfortable. I just have a separate charger for the controller next to my phone charger.

Should of said accessories that will make your controller “overpowered”
I wish I could’ve helped bought I already bought the same kontrol freek a month ago 🙁
I love building my controllers I have so many now too, cool video
My Scuf controller is completely fine been using one for about 2 years but I decided to buy a new one because for 2020 COD my favorite Team won Champs Dallas Empire so I bought there controller and it’s still working getting these kind of stuff like Strikepack etc doesn’t make you unstoppable it “could” make you better. my Scuf for sure up my FPS skills
POV: You thought it was bout the iPhone port
My fingers are overpowered
Striker pack is illegal, it literally give's u hacks like rapid fire, crouch spam, its unfair to other players
Look at the Thumbnail
I use a Strike Pack myself for the paddles in Fortnite. I don’t use hacks or mods but yes I’ve seen the things it can do and I agree it’s unfair to other players.
TuckerEU “I dont use hacks”... yeah right! Thats why you got the attachment 😂😂! Thats like “I bought underwear but dont wear them!” 😂😂
If u want the paddles there are packs of paddles you can buy, dont buy an entire pack of something just to use 1 thing
The hacks on the strike pack work against you more times than it helps except the rapid fire mod
I've had all those accessories. In the end, shooting games are so much better played on PC so I made the switch.
The play station back button is nice but there is a delay in how often you can repeatedly press the button
That makes it over complicated, i can do all of that without taking my hands off the analog stick, my hands arent the size of a five year olds
So you're just bying another controller for that price
I have two custom Scuf impact PlayStation controllers. Didn't buy them for the extra buttons but the whole controller feels alot better and really different than a standard PS4 controller.
Mine where €230 per controller BTW 😉
Instead of taking your controller apart for another battery, you can just use a 3m charging cable while gaming. Not expensive, and your battery time is equal to unlimited.
If not in use, you can just roll it and store it in almost any place. It is long enough to go around a table, under it, or above anything that is between you and your console. And you don't have to charge your controller between gaming sessions.
Been using it for a year it's perfect. The Sony back button
I just bought a new gaming chair, helped loads ;-)
