Cheers for the video Thomas Duncan, very helpful. Bought mine via Amazon and worked as instructed in your video, except i could only select to run Transfer Pump as i had no Auxiliary Pump on my car. Turned the key and fired straight up. A lot cheaper than the Ross Tech cable and software approximately £280 shipped to the UK for one. All that just to complete a fuel filter change sometimes VW can be a right pain to work on yourself. Never had these problems on the old 1.9PD engines :-)
A friend did some work on a Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI which involved draining down the fuel lines. We primed it the old-fashioned way, by disconnecting the fuel feed at the filter and using the cheap "bulb" priming pump that I've used on my humble Ford Fiesta 1.6 TDi and it worked fine.
Hi everyone! In actual versions of obdeleven you do not have to type the channel. When you select the "basic settings" you get a list of the functions and you directly select the desired function. In this case it would be “Initial fuel filling”. Here you enter realistic values, e.g. a “filling time” = 30s and “fuel level” = 10l. Then you start the process at least 3 times.
Thank you for making this video I have OBeleven as well and couldn't figure out how to prime the system and I thought I was going to have to buy a VAG cable. Very helpful
Great Video. Did OBDeleven change bought standard. Trying to prime feul pump and message popped up that need pro version to do this... any advice? An upgrade would cost addition 50euros.. regards
Hello , this would work on a seat leon 1.6 TDI 2010? I just change the fuel filter, kept the same quantity of fuel that was before, turn the ignition key 4 times to prime the filter, but the engine turn on and off straight way. I just need to prying. Thank you
Had the same issue, using OBDeleven Pro with app. On my 2009 mk6 1.6TDI VW Golf Bluetech SE. If you go into the Basic Options and have a scroll down list of name and functions performed. I just ran the Fuel Transfer Pump for 3 mins, was unable to run Auxiliary Fuel Pump as i later found out that some cars don't have one and this created a error unable to test. Also recommend performing open test and exercising the fuel valve solenoid valves (found two or three row up before clicking on basic s test) for 3 mins as well. Turned the key and engine fired straight up with no fault codes.

Just bought an obdeleven and have to do my 40k maintenance. You are a life saver!
Do you need the pro version to do this or can it be done with the free version?
Do you need the pro version of obdeleven or is this also possible on the free version?

Thanks, bought an OBD11 and it worked like you said.

Would you select this function if you have had to remove & refit the high pressure fuel lines to the engine?
As in To prime them.
It does work i tried it before i pulled out my filter bc no one comment it works & i have trust issues but it does work well
Thank you for making this video I have OBeleven as well and couldn't figure out how to prime the system and I thought I was going to have to buy a VAG cable. Very helpful
No problem!
Great !!! I was just looking for that thanks ! perfect demo
thanks!
I can't get the front to run in my 2014 touareg.
Fantastic - always forget - block 35! Cheers!
Can i use this to prime the fuel pump on a 2007 2lt tdi Passat. It has a push start smart key. Thanks
Hey I have 2012 Jetta and it says failed when I run “035” am I missing something or a security code?

The common rails need more priming..
On my car the menu looks different? No block 35, only different modules. I guess "Initial Fuel Fill" is the right one but this gives an error?

Hey! Can you do this with just he OBD11 device or do you need to purchase one of there yearly plans? TIA
I can’t get mine to work, I am using iOS on my 2014 jetta tdi. I can get to the engine -> fuel system(35) it just says failed???
I have the same problem I have the OBDeleven next pro for iOS and a 2014 jetta tdi just say failed every time
@@keenann5648 Did you get it to work? This is the same car I have. Thanks.
Owners manual states that you should replace the fuel filter every 30,000 miles. Is it excessive to do it every ten? worth it or a waste of money?
Really depends on your diesel. Mine states 20k miles 2013 Jetta TDI, in europe they state 60k. American Diesel is notoriously dry and bad.
Change It every 15.000-20.000 km (10.000 - 12.000 Miles). 30.000 Miles are too many imho
Do you have to have pro version to do this?
Did you find out if basic would work or did you need pro?
How can I do that on my bluedrive
is there a charge with that device to use the priming function, like it does for other system changes?
As long as you follow the steps in this video, no they OBDeleven app will not charge you.
did you got this option with credit or came with your OBDELEVEN, I'm asking because i can not do this with my obdeleven, please let me know thanks
Can u send me that link for that obd device thanks
What obd2 scanner is this ?
Hi, thanks for the upload, do you know maybe how to delete the warning for a fuel filter replacent, with OBDEleven?
Thank you sir 🙏🏻
Is this OBDEleven standard or Pro?
Are you using an iPhone or an android to prime?
Will this work for the 1.2 litre TDI (CR) in a 2012 Skoda Roomster?
It should bud
Thanks for uploading.
Do you need to have pro license to do that?
...... no
That's perfect
Is it necessary to pre fill the fuel filter or you can leave it empty and then run this procedure?
You don't have to pre-fill. If you don't pre-fill just run the pump for 3-4 minutes to be safe.
Which app?
Did you ever get an answer to this please?
@@manda89706 OBD Eleven
