Thank you very much for that video you have gave to us. You just help to replace successfully my fuel pump and resolve all my problems. Thank you very much my friend
Thanks for the video. I am getting a p2540 code. Is it probably a bad fuel pump? I have changed already the cam follower, the low fuel pressure sensor and the fuel pump module? Thanks in advance
Hi there, have that same code too, replaced the cam follower and low pressure fuel sensor. Now noticed my hard starts in the morning I have to leave the key on for 10 seconds to get a quick start. Otherwise it just cranks if I don't. Thanx to this man's video ill replace my fuel pump soonest.
hello, I have a golf 5 1.9 105 bkc engine, I have a problem, it made a short circuit and there is no light on the board, it starts and the second second it stops, can you help me?
Thanks for this. I did the same test with my replacement. Works out of the tank. Inside the tank, doesnt work. It did once, then dropped to zero as I was about to move off. Maybe I installed the pump the wrong direction. However my Polo 1.2 TSI 2015 does not have any markings which line up with anything outside. There are only two arrows on the pump one points to one outlet R which I assume is return. The other 'V' which points at the side of the pump but what on earth does V mean. Vorne? Which is front in German. Could you offer any help please? Car starts and runs fine, just showing empty. Also I can get the float to work in the tank but so far from the pipes for a connection. Makes no sense.

A bad fuel pump is one possibility.
Can you think of any other problem, in order to take a look? @@screwsnutsandbolts

I can't, sorry. You'll probably have to have a mechanic take a look at it.
Can the pump be changed separately ?
Yes you can disassemble the sender unit and change the pump

My electrical connector was too hard to get off lol. Broke the red tab. Pain in the ass.
Yeah they're fiddly little parts to work with
Same. I'm going to attempt to change mine tomorrow. Fabia diesel. Same set up.
Thank you

Does the fuel pump have a filter on it and can it be replaced?
The fuel filter is usually under the car near the fuel tank as shown in this video: th-cam.com/video/xIGvV5NCneo/w-d-xo.html
🙏merci 👍
You're welcome !
What if the battery didn’t disconnect theres some side effects?
No it's a safety precaution when working with fuel vapours. You don't want any chance of an electrical spark !
Hey cheers for the video, does this have to be coded when a new one is in?
No I don't think so

Are you sure you have the correct replacement part, did you measure it up to the old one ?

I think they are different but I'm not 100% sure
Great video !
Thanks!
why the arrow should be pointed towards the rear of the car?
Probably for there to be room for the float in the tank and/or for the lines to reach the correct outlet/ inlet
I hate that electric plug on the fuel pump lol
Lol. Some of them can be difficult to remove. This one wasn't too bad :)
@@screwsnutsandbolts that's why I hate them hahahaha
Whey you open betray
To remove the risk of an electrical spark igniting the fuel vapour as you work on the pump.
