    Interesting product. Seems well thought out and pretty flexible. It would, be great to get a price bracket on these types of video, and perhaps a comparison with another similar product to see which other vendors play in the space. Thanks

    £120 for something simple and straight forward is a winner for me , we all think too much about what we like as sparks, but from a customers point of view its simple and not too technical.. something i would recommend to customers

    i love this, simple and straight forward. i bet this is a lot more reliable and cheaper than an alternative i installed a few years ago, it was way over complicated for a simple task so had teething problems.

    Funnily enough, just after watching this, I went to do a quote and the lady asked if I know of any decent Remote garden lighting options 👍 defiantly going to have one happy customer. Cheers Joe 👍

    This is a field which is expanding massively. I've used quinetic which was ace, but not readily available. My local wholesalers know nothing about these types of products. Be great to see if these start to become easier to get hold of.

    The alternative is just use a sonoff rf bridge since it works on a standard frequency and get away without using physical buttons all together :). Now that makes it 100 times more smart :)

    This seems to be the entry level system for an outdoor installation. Thanks to Joe for all the details on this and showing the various uses of this system and hopefully I'll be able to install the Hamilton Air system myself. Quick question though... Do you need to hook this up to the consumer unit?

    • @hamiltonlitestat1968
      @hamiltonlitestat1968 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, Short answer No, you can use cable and socket. 👍

    Are these just for lighting purposes, or could you use this for a water feature for example? Aslong as the pump was less than the stated rating of course?

    Fitted a few of these and they can fail with LED loads. Had a couple where they have burnt the trace on the PCB and made one of the zones dead.

    • @efixx
      @efixx  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Did you send the failed units back to Hamilton - and LED load, subject to power factor, shouldn’t cause this issue.

    • @niceguy235uk1
      @niceguy235uk1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@efixx No as they were out of warranty. Must admit i was surprised as the units were fine with the halogen lamps, but clients were getting fed up with replacing them due to the heat build up causing them to fail prematurely. Wise box, i havent had a problem with, even though the internals are almost identical!

    Shame the switches aren't powered by magic 🤭. Great video Joe 👍

  • @TheGoodvideoclips

    At 2.46 you say battery powered .
    Did you mean kinetic energy powered?
    Also can I fit 2 of these boxes at my property ?
    You can we can have over 100 controllers/switch’s.
    but if I fit 1box in the front garden to control 3 independent light at the front of my house and the second box at the back garden to control 3 independent lights at the back of the house . Or when I try to turn on what ever is wired to slot no1 on the front box will that also turn on what ever is wired to slot1 on the back box at the same time ?

    Much better if it was Alexa or IFTTT compatible, and only 4 minutes timer? Far too limiting. Who wants to carry a huge remote control around in their car or on their key ring in 2021? This unit is 10 years out of date imo.
