JcrOffroad, cool thanks for that reply. I was more interested in the whole roof, just wondered if you coated with something special like bed liner or some other costing.
It could; you would need to support the front fairing somehow if it wasn't against an exo tube or the roof, however. It will vibrate if it's left free hanging.
Is this rack compatible with the Thule Tepui Explorer Kukenam 3? I'm 95% sure that I'm buying this rack. I would just like to know if it would support that tent.
You were standing on the rack in the beginning of the video, is that ok to do. I do some work on top of my Jeep and it would be nice to be able to stand on the rack.
You can stand on the rack if you support your weight either at the ends of the crossbars or between more than one. The individual bars will flex, but they are strong as a whole. Another option would be to add a couple accessory mount plates up there and use those to stand on.
I'm looking hard at this rack for my 97 XJ. Do you know if this will accommodate the SkyCamp 2.0 tent? Thanks!

Nothing in the works. Wouldn't be too hard to add if you just didn't install the rear fairing.

Will this clear and install the factory rails that my xj has. Really don't want to remove them in fear of water leaks.
Yes, it will clear, but if you reinstall the bolts that mount the factory rack on using some RTV when you pull the rack it will not leak.

My front is not touching the roof and it’s all the way back on the back to the hatch . What do you think I can do to fix this .

The racks and mounts are meant to be pretty universal. Most tent mounting systems are as well. We haven't ran that tent specifically however.

The rack is all aluminum, and the mounts are steel.
