After living in the same mansion for about 40 years, Boy George has decided to move on from the place - listing it for sale at about $19.5 million. Located in the Hampstead neighborhood of London, England, the singer’s historic estate has been completely revamped and expanded during his many years living here - now featuring about 5,500 square feet of space and 6 bedrooms. While we can assume that George will be looking for a new living situation in the UK - where he hails from - we also know that when he’s across the pond in Los Angeles he usually shacks up at the home of his manager PK Kemsley and his wife, Dorit Kemsley - who stars on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. And, for those fans of the reality series you may have already known that!

I hope he just rents or keep it. It is a royalty pop home made perfectly for Boy George. I can’t imagine anyone living in that house unless he or she is another icon or who resembles the same energy, but he is such a unique soul.

Kelly Hoppen was a great choice to balance off the ornate historical architecture with more contemporary elements. I like the house extention with kitchen and sliding door to the outdoor dining the most. The cathedral ceiling looks very representative, but not homey at all, i would move just to avoid the gas bill.

It was only put on the market for the filming of PK’s Real Estate tv show.. he had no intention off selling it, and it’s off the market now.... the renovations turned out great, I did prefer the old bathroom though

Not for sale anymore! It was taken off the market. But it is going to be shown on his manager Paul Kemsley’s new reality show Selling Super Prime. In his lawsuit for being fired from Culture Club Jon Moss filed a motion trying to stop him from selling the house before the case was over. Coincidentally or not so coincidentally it was taken off the market.

i prefer how it was before, the way he had decorated when he was in his 20s, Now it is more the taste of his interior decorator taste, It does not reflect his quirkiness and style anymore, pity!
It was starting to look aged and worn in recent years and he used to have all sorts of people staying or living there at any given time. Going up the stairs used to be dark green many many years ago and was super dark. Then he put in red carpeting down the stairs and painted it all white 😬. More or less never had any cohesive decor throughout but was used like a “real house” rather than a millionaire’s show house. I’m glad he modernized it and updated it as it will only help to increase the value and preserve a nearly 200 yr old home.

Those mansions are money pits, it takes a lot to maintain them, and George is no longer making pop star money, so selling it off to someone who can maintain it was the sensible thing to do. I know that he's had that music judge deal, but again that too doesn't pay what it used to anymore, 'cause no one, aside from retirees, is watching those shows these days. This is probably why he's on "I'm a Celebrity Get me Out of Here" now. I wish him all the best, and kuddos to him for being able to let go, and move on to a more sustainable life. Soon all of these mansions will grow out of fashion anyway. The future is sensible, sustainable living. The era of waste will soon come to an end. No one man needs to live in a mansion, well done to him.
