I don't quite understand fully each ending, but I'll try to explain what I understood from each of them: Ending 1 - Bad Ending: Pinocchio fails to free himself from the Puppet String, and obediently offers his heart to Geppetto. The man manages to bring his son back to life, but Carlo doesn't return, he simply became a puppet in a human body, loyal and obedient to Geppetto. Ending 2 - Neutral Ending: Pinocchio refuses to hand out his heart, but also fails to free himself from the Puppet String. He fights and earns his freedom, but in the end, he's still a puppet, just this time, without a puppeteer. Ending 3 - Good Ending: Pinocchio's constant defiance by repeatedly lying made Argos transform his essence into Carlo's, which effectively turned him into a human in a puppet's body, making Geppetto realize and accept that his son was always there. And as a final act of defiance, he transfers the Argos in his heart, which kept him alive, into Sophia's body, giving her a new life and proving her that he was truly special. That he was a real boy.
I'm playing Lies of P at the moment and can say that "To unlock or achieve the true ending "Rise of P" the player must choose to Only Tell Lies in Lie System Scenarios." and "You need to make sure to play all the Records from start to finish..." is actually wrong. I told about 75% lies and only listened to half of the possible records and still easily got the true ending
Yeah I told the truth a few times where it felt appropriate and I still got the Rise of P ending. I also lied enough to get the Golden Lie weapon from the portrait. I told the Polendina that love can happen between humans and puppets I told Venigi that Gepetto was behind the puppet frenzy. I told Gepetto that he wasn't a trustworthy father and finally I told Simon Manus that I gave Sophia peace after doing exactly that. I think I lied in most other scenarios as a lot of the time it just felt like the right thing to do to make people happy lol
Sucks going through an entire playthrough only to make two stupid mistakes in the end and get a neutral ending. I don’t know if I can put myself through fighting some of these bosses again dude…
I think you need to select the "give Sophia peace" option. I think that decision was more ambiguous than some of the others, so I wish the devs at least didn't make Geppetto call you a puppet if this was the one mistake. Oh well, it's otherwise a fantastic game. Looking forward to the sequel!

You get the third ending by doing two things: You have to kill Sophia in her boss fight (aka put her to rest) instead of sparing her… and you have to LIE in every dialogue option; no truths whatsoever. (Hence the game’s title lol)

You can technically get two endings in one playthrough, but you have to utilize cloud saves. You're past the point of doing that, so you'll have to do a second playthrough, but that's all you'll need. You got Free from the Puppet String, so do everything you need for the Rise of P ending during your next playthrough (check Fextralife's endings page for what's needed), make a backup save to the cloud before talking to Geppetto at the end, give him your heart, quit once you've seen the ending and gotten the achievement/trophy, then load your backup cloud save and refuse to give your heart.
Ah yes, I saw it! But what about Sophia. Did he bring her Corpse to that Place? Because she was put to Rest. Or is this another / New Doll, and Sophias Spirit got a new Body?
From my understanding he gives the Sophia puppet ergo so she can awaken with an ego. P doesn't need the ergo anymore because he is human now. at the end he's just sleeping considering everything he's been through he definitely deserves it

He doesn't seem to, no. Free From the Puppet String is the second ending in this video. That ending just stops when Geppetto dies. If you're asking about the third ending in the video, which is Rise of P, he doesn't seem to die in that one, either. You can see his face twitch when he's being held in Sofia's arms.

@@killabean990 The way I see it, he both is and isn't. This is how I understand everything. At some point, Geppetto lost his son, Carlo. He keeps the body and builds an advanced puppet, Pinocchio, modeled after his son. He puts Pinocchio out into the world so he can grow and become human. At the end of Pinocchio's journey, Geppetto wants to take the heart of the now hopefully human Pinocchio (which I believe contains his memories and personality) and put it in Carlo's body to revive him. However, regardless of how much humanity Pinocchio gained, his willingness to give up his heart means he's still just a subservient puppet, so that's all Carlo becomes. Geppetto is either okay with this outcome, or is blind to it. As for the other endings, in Free from the Puppet String, he doesn't gain enough humanity to no longer be a puppet, but is not subservient to Geppetto, which is why Geppetto calls him a useless puppet. He didn't gain enough humanity to become human, nor did he fulfill his purpose to give up his heart for Carlo. In Rise of P, Pinocchio does become human, or as close as a puppet can become, and refuses to give up his new life. Geppetto realizes how human Pinocchio is and why he refused to give up his heart, and now sees Pinocchio has basically become Carlo (but in a good way), and apologizes and calls him son right before he dies. Pinocchio then goes to the Sophia puppet and places her Ergo inside it to bring her back, which causes him to faint (but not die). The revived Sophia holds him in her arms and says she's glad to see him again.
Its a little mix up. If anything i think Gepetto just wanted to see Pinnochio prove his humanity hence his response changes, these endings can be interpreted any way possible. Even Gepettos ending can be considered good in a context while in Rise of P you lie, even if its for the greater good.

I think you need to select the "give Sophia peace" option. I think that decision was more ambiguous than some of the others, so I wish the devs at least didn't make Geppetto call you a puppet if this was the one mistake.

The third ending (Rise of P) isn't the bad one. The first one (Real Boy) is. Rise of P is considered the best/true ending.

He's still alive. If you don't go straight to NG+, you're still allowed to explore the hotel and characters reference recent events.
