As I am new to airbrushing I spend my days after work watching videos to learn techniques of airbrushing.I never thought about any of this very smart on going light mist. Now I have a opportunity to add my own twist of shadows and shades .
I like this process . And over spray ,man I get this a lot ! And I spend more time on trying to hide or mask the over spay and when I’m done with my picture you can see clearly that I got more paint in places than I do my picture. So now I spend more time on trying to think of ways to eliminate my mistakes. I’m thankful I found my mistakes ! All I had to do was take few minutes and coverup the surrounding negatives where I can create a perfect positive. Awesome tips !

When you say less is more you couldn’t be more right I can’t tell you how many times I over sprayed my stencil and it took forever to blend out the lines ! I barely dust over the stencils now so I can make easier lines and your 1000% right LESS IS MORE ESPECIALLY IF YOUR ON A WHITE CANVAS WITH BLACK PAINT JUST A LIGHT WAVE AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO RENDER THE LINES EASILY ! I’m so guilty of that overspraying the stencil then having to go back over and over to blend the lines out and saturate the painting to join the lines of the stencil to my free hand work ! DAN YOU ROCK 🤘🏻🤘🏻 ! You are the Jedi master of airbrush and I am a Patawan in the Jedi master league thank you for all your advice and help YOU ROCK !! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
    Your friend
    Marc ( aka EL PADRE ) !

Awesome video! Also have to give you credit, 99.999% of people would of just changed the video and that would of been that. Most would of never admitted there was a previous video, let alone that there was any information changed. Much respect!

Using stencils on round surfaces poses even bigger challenges

Yes. I use a cut vinyl mask for those situations, or I lay down transfer tape, sketch or transfer my design, and then cut.
