    It would have been a little easier if you had weeded the image when you had it on the cricut mat. It did turn out good.

    Use a squeegee or credit card to smooth out all of the bubbles.

    I’ve been doing this with scale models to paint markings instead of using decals.

      Great idea! Love paint instead of decals. In my opinion it looks more professional!

    I've been using stencil vinyl that contains very small text on a curved wooden item and find that the paint seeps under the vinyl. I've been using a sponge dabber very lightly...maybe this isn't the best technique. Would using an airbrush be more suitable so long as the vinyl is stuck well enough to the surface?

      I haven’t tried it on wood, but I bet it would work wouldn’t hurt to try it! For stenciling, you can use a cheap airbrush off Amazon or Harbor freight that way you don’t have a lot invested in trying it

    I just used this technique on a Kryptek pattern on my rifle. It worked out great. I found a free app for iPhone that allows you to convert images to svg files. It has worked well and does not require all the tedious removal on the image upload. It also allows for smoother cuts on the Cricut.

    Will cut some type of high heat material for powder coating stencils?

    • @reddirtdesigns7021
      @reddirtdesigns7021  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a very great question. I actually have never tried this. But you can Cut 4mm stencil material with cricut so I bet you could cut whatever material you would need for powder coating.

      The removable vinyl does a really nice job not leaving any residue. I’ve had really good luck with it! Good luck with your projects and if you have any other questions don’t hesitate.
