    Seat belts should only be used on vehicles with a rollover protective structure. Safer to be thrown clear without it. Stupid law.

    • @patrick247two
      @patrick247two 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Surely both seat-belt and roll-over protection is best. Calling being thrown clear as the safer option is, dare I say it, a stupid idea.

      @@patrick247two No it's not a stupid idea. If you have a seat belt with no roll over protecting you will be crushed. Yes roll over protection and a seatbelt is safest. @@patrick247two I've actually heard of many incidents where people survived crashes because they were ejected from the vehicle, otherwise they would have died.
      There's nothing to really prove when someone is wearing a seat belt that it is the reason they lived or when someone isn't that it's the reason they died.
      People die all the time while wearing a seatbelt so what's to say that someone would of survied if they had been wearing their seatbelt when they weren't

    • @VintageTexas59
      @VintageTexas59 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So having your head thru the windshield in case of a collision is safer ?
      Seen many different collisions in my life, both deadly & people survived because of seat belts keeping them inside the car.
      Also depends what car you have, speed and type of collision, animal, car, 18-wheeler, train etc.

    • @pacman377
      @pacman377 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@VintageTexas59 they don't have a windshield and if they do put on one it will probably be lexan or poly carbonate not glass like in a car which nullifies your argument. We are talking about a gold cart. A car or truck or whatever like you mentioned I agree however all of those have roll over protection. At the time this video was posted there golf cart doesn't. Is what everything is based off of.

    Use a diode. They only allow electricity to flow in one direction. Put one before each brake light right at the light.

    • @Chris-yy7qc
      @Chris-yy7qc 5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      That doesnt change anything, dude...
      The tail light has permanent ground. When Isaac and John operate the turn signal, a relay quickly turns + on and off again. The indicator is blinking. When you step on the brake, the taillight gets a continuous plus signal from the brake pedal switch. Because it has no separate indicators it doesnt blink anymore. Your diode is completely meaningless in this case.

    • @dylanheadrick3789
      @dylanheadrick3789 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    i say make it into cars n' cameras very own first response/recovery vehicle - add a reverse gear, front n' rear winch/hitch, flashing lights, lockable storage for shackles/snatch strap/basic toolkit/first aid n' shit, etc etc

    You need a splash shield on the air filter so it don't get drenched if you ride in wet conditions, just a thought.

    Hoping to make it to a Mini Mayhem this year. Just have to get my wife to let me trade my bunk house for a toy hauler.

    The upholstery was kind of a let down. Figured you guys would use something like unicorn hide for the seats. Making something street legal isn’t easy. Great video.

    You’ll be surprised what a golf cart can do... i used to work at a golf course and the stuff we did with those carts were unspeakable. The mechanic loved his job so he kinda encouraged us to mess around with them and turn up the speed and off road with them. They were bad ass. If you want a good solid golf cart get a cushman gas with a bed. They’re awesome

    Need a "roll bar" disguised as a roof. You will be applying a harder, thicker foam on your seat; use contact cement to fasten to plywood. Don't wrap around plywood. Save up for a good marine Naugahyde for seat material. I'll be surprised if they pass your "muffler".

    Wheel spacers that would make your golf cart a more one of a kind. I hate to say it but I really don’t think it will pass inspection due to the noise level. Great job can’t wait till next video.
