They’re rehabbing the whole thing to eventually live in with two kids. Digging out the old mortar, repointing all the stone, building roofs, digging out the junk and stones from the floor and pouring new concrete, they’ll finish inside with Sheetrock, plumb everything, run pipes from the well for water, electrify the building and get started on the inside! I mean there was nothing in these structures except animal waste! So if they can do that, you can do this! They are currently living in a trailer. At least the joists look solid. The broken tile flooring and cob structures are really the mark of insanity. I would empty this place out and tear it down, board by board. Save whatever building material you can reuse. Start over. At least you have water, septic and power.

🤷♂️I LOVE it!❤ I don't know your current housing situation - but, dude - you own your own property - you have shelter from the elements. A LEO is not gonna be knocking on your car at 2 AM telling you to move along. What ... are you in a hurry to fix it up like right now? Are others waiting for you to fix it up so THEY can move in? If not - tell them to freak off! You got forever to fix it up. Take baby steps - clear off one small area first. Make a clear path to your door & to your berry bush. Place a nice outdoor chair on the porch, relax😂 Clear a room. Clear a second room. Throw a quick coat of paint on one wall. Things will start to flow, your ideas will flow like crazy. Use the bottles as a theme.
That gadget in the pantry room was either a can smasher, or a potato slicer, used to make french fries ! A lot of cleaning work to do , but you can do this ! Have a good week. Generally, where is the property ?

If your dog is crying he is trying to tell you something. Probably telling you tear it down and rebuild. It would probably cost less and you’ll know it’s safe to live in.
Either there is a pipe leaking in the bathroom causing the wet floor and/or the cement block wall is leaking some as you said it just rained the last couple days. If the wall is leaking all the dirt will need to be dug out and the wall sealed/water proofed. My allergies are activated just watching lol. Looks like a good structure though.
At least clean out the brush on that side of the house and make sure the water run off is draining away from the house. Maybe a couple French drains and sloping the dirt.
you should stop wanting to reuse everything ;o)) just order a dumpster, empty everything and throw it out, remove all the styrofoam ceilings, remove old insulation strip everything down, then clean everything thoroughly and then start again with a clean slate. You shouldn't do this kind of mess little by little because then you'll never get through it. oh and throw out that rokket stove, that thing is very dangerous
Sorry, but nope.Somebody who just smoked massive amounts of weed, never cleaned, never improved it, lived there. I love a good home reno but this is just disgusting.
I see a few pros and a LOT of cons. I look forward to seeing what you do..I’d probably tear it down, clear all the brush, build a cabin or get a mobile home. It’s such a shame because it looks like the outside was nice at one time. Good luck and keep us updated.
I would put a RV on this place and live out of it and bulldoze the house down. It might cost less to start over than DIY this cave. Lots of potential with the farm and the grounds.
I know most people out there are saying tear it down, but if you investigate properly and find out it's solid, why be so dramatic. Once you get it clean and can really see what you're up against, that's when you should decide. I've transformed a few nasty old rentals that I bought cheap because of how it looked, and I made huge profits when I sold them on.👍
Yeah...you may have lost it with this one. But wishing you all the best with bring your vision to life. Personally, I'm with camp "tear it down and start fresh" or clean it out for a bug out place. But you've got some great land there.
Well, if you're willing to spend an absolute buttload of money and time, it could end up to be liveable and possibly even a cute place. I like the weird floors 👍 Whatever you have in mind for a budget, triple it.
To be honest with you, I'd level it and start from scratch. I love restorations, but that looks like something someone on a serious years long drug trip built and lived in. I mean the more I saw, the more I thought, "bulldozer and many dumpsters".
Wow. I don't know how to feel about this. If you are a first-time fixer-upper, I think I would start from scratch using whatever could be salvaged from the original structure. If you're a pro and have done this type of work before, more power to you! Either way, I'm here for it, because it's going to be an adventure! 🏡🏡🏡🏡🏡🏡
I don't want to be discouraging, but seriously, you need to bulldoze it and build new. Or bring in a house trailer. It will be cheeper, easier, safer, quicker and a lot more fun. I see no fun in renovating that mess. When you get it cleared and gutted, will there be any bones worth saving? Save the kitchen sink and the heat on demand hot water heater. I'll be watching your adventure. Good luck.
You're going to need 3 dumpsters! Some 9f the tile and bottle work is fantastic. But some of it not so much. The indoor planter would be cool with herbs. The bathroom needs to be gutted & replumbed. They made an off grid gravity flush toilet. Better than an overflowing toilet. You'll be about 2 to 3 years getting that house back into a liveable struture. Good luck.

It’s mostly clearing out all the junk and treating everything for mold; airing out; replacing the roof ASAP and then starting on the finishes.
Looking forward to watching this makeover. You have determination & your fur baby. You will be ok. Please be safe & mask up😷. Wishing you all the best. BTW I like the knotty pine paneling in the one part of the house. Maybe you can keep that. You will get much satisfaction from your accomplishments. Worry that your dog will be safe. Possible sharp objects in the weeds etc. ❤
@@gdbreon8300 We are surviving. It's been a rough start for sure. Had a group of people from the church out today picking berries everyone had a great time and we have more volunteers 😃. We'll get there 😁 James and Louie
The amount of medicinal and edible herbs, plants and trees i saw!! Im so jealous❤
@@RaraAvis1138 The land is amazing. The house 😫 but I'm pretty good at this stuff!
Thanks for the support.

@@MonarchHarbor I'm here for it😊
@@MonarchHarbor I'm scared about the house - the energy is all wrong. Bad shit happened there.
If that is cannabis growing, that'll be a good way to pay your friends for helping you fill the dumpster.
Im excited to see this through with you! Im all about salvaging anything usable, but mold and moisture must be dealt with first and foremost. Residual value still has it place in this spoiled society! Reuse, repurpose, less waste!! I subbed! Best of luck!!
It's an adventure James!!! I'm soon to buy one of these myself soon...
That last bedroom you went into a good one. I think you're going to love it. There's some good wood in that furniture don't we just toss and stuff.
You are going to have a beautiful place when you're done not crazy about the floors or the bathroom.
We will journey together
Its not so bad! Will look amazing done up
It looks like a hippie from the 70s lived there with the floor work and avocado green appliance. But good for you to see the potential. I can't wait to see what you do with this. I would call "Got Junk" and have them help you clean up and haul away. They'll know how to recycle, etc. Good luck to you and keep posting. I love a good challenge!!
Love your attitude, looking forward to watching your content.❤
I van love the home. It’s going to be nice when done.
Hello, found this on my homepage, came to take a peek and connected. Love your dog and the place looks big☺ Nice berries, like the floor too, its unique and I agree with you there is a lot of potential if one isn't lazy.♥ My Dogs usually shift on their backsides like that when they have worms....that's my sign to check and hand out pills♥
Cool house with lots of potential!
@@nunya9164 Thanks for the support. It's going to be one hell of a project but it's getting there. One day at a time.

The broken tile flooring and cob structures are really the mark of insanity. I would empty this place out and tear it down, board by board. Save whatever building material you can reuse. Start over. At least you have water, septic and power.
And only the insane would live there.
First thing, clean and tame jungle. Second, get the camper area set up and start making money, you're gonna need it. As far as the house, start over. You have a beautiful piece of land. Just not livable yet. Can't wait to go on this adventure with you.😊
🤷♂️I LOVE it!❤
I don't know your current housing situation - but, dude - you own your own property - you have shelter from the elements.
Place a nice outdoor chair on the porch, relax😂
Clear a room.
You can do this. Keep on posting your progress. Make sure foundation is in good condition, the rest gut job . Land is great. Best of luck.
Gut bathroom
If you are close enough to me-I can help you renovate. Just don't be a serial killer or something-that's gona be a deal breaker. It has potential-it does. That tub is gona have to come up and out..whew.
You got this I have Faith in you. It can be made into a beautiful place. Take the planter box out of living room. Get that dumpster and get with it. Can’t wait to see your progress. Hope you have a camper to stay in. While fixing house. Clean everything out and start working. Where is this place located?
@@thedebbieadams I appreciate your faith it's going to be a long road but I'll get there. The planter believe it or not is going to be repurposed into an indoor coy pond. I've always has coy and how cool to have them inside!
This is awesome. Fix everything, make it cool 😎 keep making videos man!
@@trevorwithers4412 Thanks for your support. I'm trying just taking me a while but I'll get there.
From an IAQ specialist: Do not ruin your health/life by trying to habitat that place.
Don't you mean inhabit?
@@devonteforeman typed habitate but autocorrected
If your dog is crying he is trying to tell you something. Probably telling you tear it down and rebuild. It would probably cost less and you’ll know it’s safe to live in.
Speaking from experience- tear out the pot plants or it will stay exactly as is. 😕🙄🙄
Already weed eated a bunch of them! Lol
EVEN THE DOG KNOWS! Smart dog! Gut it! Everything ripped out!
@@kd5inm Oh it's getting gutted 💯
The dog was wiping his heinie on the floor to show his opinion -- pay attention!
@@momtrips6783 Well at least it's a little bit cleaner in that spot! 😂
Did Yvette this house free
you should stop wanting to reuse everything ;o)) just order a dumpster, empty everything and throw it out, remove all the styrofoam ceilings, remove old insulation strip everything down, then clean everything thoroughly and then start again with a clean slate. You shouldn't do this kind of mess little by little because then you'll never get through it. oh and throw out that rokket stove, that thing is very dangerous
@@aukebij3193 Already talked to the dumpster people! 😂
That will take a fleet of dumpsters lol.
Theres water and electricity.. A lot of folks would love to have that place❤
Very cool house, that was someone's cool dream. Love the floor.
There was a lot of love put into it I'll get her breathing again just a slow process doing it on my own.
Thanks for the Support

Sorry, but nope.Somebody who just smoked massive amounts of weed, never cleaned, never improved it, lived there. I love a good home reno but this is just disgusting.
I see a few pros and a LOT of cons. I look forward to seeing what you do..I’d probably tear it down, clear all the brush, build a cabin or get a mobile home. It’s such a shame because it looks like the outside was nice at one time. Good luck and keep us updated.
Good luck I think your going to need it 👍
I would put a RV on this place and live out of it and bulldoze the house down. It might cost less to start over than DIY this cave. Lots of potential with the farm and the grounds.
That inside flower bed you should put some windows in there and you can grow stuff in the winter I need to grow light as well Just a idea
I know most people out there are saying tear it down, but if you investigate properly and find out it's solid, why be so dramatic. Once you get it clean and can really see what you're up against, that's when you should decide. I've transformed a few nasty old rentals that I bought cheap because of how it looked, and I made huge profits when I sold them on.👍
How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time :-). You got this!! For your sanity pay helpers.
Just DO IT!!😊 The blackberry bush looks yummy!! Just 1 day at a time.
Yeah...you may have lost it with this one. But wishing you all the best with bring your vision to life. Personally, I'm with camp "tear it down and start fresh" or clean it out for a bug out place. But you've got some great land there.
Looks like it has potential if you like the bones. Cleaning it out and having adequate lighting, plus paint goes a long way. Close up ceiling or paint
Well, if you're willing to spend an absolute buttload of money and time, it could end up to be liveable and possibly even a cute place. I like the weird floors 👍 Whatever you have in mind for a budget, triple it.
A super challenge. I'm looking forward to your progress. A labour of love, is it?
To be honest with you, I'd level it and start from scratch. I love restorations, but that looks like something someone on a serious years long drug trip built and lived in. I mean the more I saw, the more I thought, "bulldozer and many dumpsters".
You dog has higher standards I agree with him lol.
@@judithpolak3116 I agree whole heartedly! I'm going to be renting a place as I start the rehab. Louie needs a certain level of comfort! 😂
😂
There must be mold everywhere. Wish you the best with rehab!
Good luck.
Do what makes you happy.. God bless!!!
I hope you can bring it back to life But don't hurt yourself in the process!
I do love the old fashioned sink.
I agree knock it down rebuild
But just think what you'll have once you get going on it! Its definitely interesting. That is a 70s avocado colored stove 😊
Lining the recycle flooring! ❤❤
