Building a Destroyed 2018 Challenger Hellcat Widebody in Minutes

  • This was a fun build turning a car that was wrecked after only 1200 miles with a fate headed to a scrap yard for part out. I saved her and made her as beautiful as she was off of the showroom floor. That being said I ran into plenty of setbacks from shipping companies, dealerships, etc I was able to push thru and get her finished. Along the way I had some good fun with friends and at the drag strip with more to come. This Challenger Hellcat Widebody is so much fun to drive and for having 500HP and 707HP it is the best of both worlds when driving. I did do a few upgrades along the way from the addition of the Redeye intake, and ram air hood to the drag wing this thing is nuts. I just can't believe she is finally finished after all of the hard work, a labor of love!!!

It's easy to forget just how much work you guys put into things when we watch it happen over long periods of time. But seeing videos like this really puts it all into perspective. You start thinking about all the hours and the blood, sweat, and splitting headaches. Something that I don't think a lot of TH-camrs hear is, thank you for choosing this as your career. Thank you for persevering through all the negative comments and low view counts. Corrupted video and missing audio. We are glad every time you choose to get up out of bed and film.

That was an incredible amount of work this guy did. What was a jaw dropper for me was when he pulled into the Chrysler dealership. Across the street was Phil Long Ford where 50 years ago when I turned 16 years old, my dad took me there to buy a Ford Maverick. As I kept staring at this video, I was asking myself how did 50 years fly by so fast and what did it do with it......

Do you have a huge game plan when disassembling cars down this Far? How do you stay so organized and get everything back into the correct spot? Lots of pictures or a certain way to organize while things are apart. It’s pretty impressive the amount of detail you put into your builds, it’s one thing to build a drift car or race car and be able to remove stuff and toss it but tearing a car down and bringing back to factory new condition is a tuff task. Once again Dave good job.

I have a really good memory not photographic but I can usually remember how things go if I take them apart, my biggest issue with the project was it not coming with the frontend parts so I had to figure out how everything went back together.

@@vancovio Gimme a chance Vance I have enough with the wife riding me to get rid of it. I'm 64 and been to hell and back. I even had to hunt the car down after a neighbor of mine recommended someone to work on it. He had a 69 Chevelle that the guy worked on so I thought I'd give him a shot at it and he disappeared with it. After tracking down his movements I found it being held in a shop with 6 other cars for failure to pay 8 months back rent. So now I had a problem with the landlord. After back and forth with him, he gave me a 3 hour window to retrieve the car, I got a friends pick up with a winch and dragged the car through 4 foot weeds behind an apartment building. I discovered 6 other cars this guy snatched for work, a 69 AMX, 69 Ford Maverick GT, 70 Mustang ,70 GTO, 69 Chevelle SS and mine. It was sickening, after dragging the car out I called a flat bed to bring it back to my home.
