  • You're looking at the rarest Porsche 911 GT3 in the world. This is the Australia-only Porsche 911 GT3 70 Years edition. It's in Touring trim and limited to just 25 units and this particular one was flown to Australia from the Porsche museum for us to have a drive before it heads back for storage.

    Ironically I was at Theporschaden Classic car shop in Armadale just yesterday Paul. In the window they had a white Porsche 356 convertible, which had a sold sticker on it. Stopped me from pulling out my DEBIT card!🤣 At the other end of the spectrum this is just far kin stunning! I can understand why you dropped the F bomb!🤭 I was fortunate enough a couple of years ago to grab a drive in a Mercedes AMG GT-R. Now that also was unbelievable!😈😍🤤

    I’ll never sell it. I’m pushing 70 yrs of age and I’ve owned some nice cars.

    Am I the only one.....that would prefer if Paul Stopped saying, in many of his high performance car review videos, "I'm not telling you something, that you don't already know"...
    Yeah , yeah, most of us here know the pure raw data specs of most of these high performance cars. But many of us, most of us, will never get to drive this Porsche model, or any other new Porsche model out now for that matter. So, most of us, are counting on you, to tell us how the car makes you feel, and things you notice about the car, good and bad. And more importantly! In that you've driven both these cars, and most of us here haven't. Comparing this high end Porsche to a bargain Toyota/Subaru 86/BRZ, how much better is it at providing fun? How much better a drivers car? Could you put a percentage on the difference?
    So I don't know about everyone here, but I think most of us here want to know that!!!! We'll never ever be able to get behind the wheel of a Porsche 911 GT3 2022.

    • @CarExpertAus
      @CarExpertAus  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think I've said it before this video 😂

    America says thanks! Excellent real-world review. Couple of points: You didn’t mention the first-time-ever Double Wishbone front suspension (if you did, then I missed it). That’s a game-changer: WAY more predictable and track-focused handling, and WAY harsher ride. Good trade-off. It’s a Porsche GT car. It rides rough. Second, you didn’t mention the critical difference between the 7-speed in my car, and the 6-speed in yours: You can flat-shift the 6-speed, but not in the 7-speed. Flat-shifting is friggin awesome. I wish you had demonstrated it….or did the Factory Guardians deny you that opportunity?

  • @911aircooled5
    @911aircooled5 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Seen this car close up, it is truely lovely. One improvement would have been a 'duck tail', in lieu of the 911 spoiler.
    Oh, one does not need front parking sensors (or rear), just learn how to drive and know the vehicles dimensions. I have not been able to see the front of any of my 911's in 33 years. The 997GT3 splitter was the worst. The splitter is very easily replaced and at low cost, but rarely done.

    • @CarExpertAus
      @CarExpertAus  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You need to see some of the gutters in Melbourne! They would eat the front splitter alive.

    • @911aircooled5
      @911aircooled5 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CarExpertAus I know Melb very well, never once hit a gutter. Scrapped speed bumps on a few occasions. The height is not the only factor, the angle of incidence from the front of the splitter to the base of the front wheels is. As i said the 997 doesn't have lift so it was the worst. The 992 is no worse than any of my previous, nor my GT4 which has a very long splitter.
      Also, the faux leather that you mention is called Race-Tex (Alcantra)! Secondly, there is a cup and small bottle holder in the centre console (not fitted in your video), this does hold the cup well. Can be tricky with a large water bottle and manual changes, but no worse than a VE commodores cup holder, same position!
      A little more research was required for this video, imo.

      I don’t get this post . Why can’t you use it on a public road. Are you thinking about a GT3 club sport ?

      Sorry - should have been clearer. Just this exact car can't be used. It's not insured to be driven on public roads and was loaned by the museum.

    When will you car reviewers start making noise about abolishing the luxury car tax? People like you have the vehicle (pun intended) to create the noise required to make the Pollies pay attention.
