playing this in 2022 players are so much better. I'm plat 1 right now and I'm having to split, micro, handle drops if Terran, lurkers if zerg. This comp/A move back to Macro gets absolutely destroyed by mass lurker/hydra/roach support. I have to macro and go back to the fight instantly or it disappears. Must be a testament to the success of your series. People are getting better in a big way which is good for the game. I'm happy with my progress so far. Went from Gold 3 - Plat 1 in a couple weeks. Yup, i agree the skill floor has raised CONSIDERABLY and these guides are really only useful for getting to gold league or platinum 3. You won't get farther than that without microing fights and multitasking and learning timing attacks or all ins
Yeah that first game was NOTHING like plat 1 games look like now. I can show plenty of pvzs where opponents are FAR better than this and I encounter them more than 50% of the time
So happy to see Vibe come up against the annoying Terran Proxies and melting them. I honestly think they only have 2 strategies in Plat: mass BC or proxy Barracks. Incredibly annoying.
I am currently hitting this wall of Terran early rushers and finding it cheallenging to overcome. Vibe’s scouting is always on point but I just either forget to scout or when I do I don’t know how to get enough units out, or I forget my battery… or my battery is too far forward. Rewatching this is teaching me a ton.

I realise proper macro really helped, if anyone is still sceptical about it and just want to cheese all game long. I mean its fine, but in all macro games, following VibE's advice actually works, since as mentioned you outproduce your enemy significantly if you can macro properly. Im still trying to not be greedy with small micro fights, but it works! At least in this range of P2-D3
I've had a few situations where macro just wouldn't work anymore. I had a PvP where my opponent was using DTs, and was killing my cannons and probes faster than I could make them. I had a ZvT where my opponent was out-maneuvering me, and my army was dying to very well-positioned tanks while doing relatively little damage (and I wasn't containing him well enough to win by attrition). In both cases, I pulled the trigger and switched from macro-focus to an all-in micro battle and won. I'm not sure if that's good decision making, or building bad habits...
Macro really helps and it is very important, but it is not all there is to it. ViBe knows about little things that make a lot of a difference such as where to place the stalkers, when to pull probes and when to pull back, etc.

I’m getting good probe production but struggling on keeping up with army production especially around the 6-8 minute mark. I dont want to slow probes but can’t multitask quick enough yet to get buildings and pylons suck enough. And then those widow mine drops.
I just played a PvP where I defended against a stalker all in with the two gateways. I’m not a GM. I simply used your guides. That dono in that PvP game is smoking. I’m fucking silver. Sure enough my opponent did not macro and I won.
I feel like none of vibes opponents are the smurfs that are on the ladder today. Its so hard to do this b2gm when you get all inned by something thats perfectly made to counter b2gm.
Welcome to Rush League where everyone wants the game to be over in 3 minutes or less. Hope you get lots more of that type of crap so we can see how to deal with it, it almost always gets me when I try to expand and my opponent doesn't.
Yep I'm in diamond 2 and win most long games. My problem is scouting and knowing how to counter all the infinite varieties of cheese out there that i keep losing points to.
Great series! It would be really cool if you at some point when you are done with this would try and show some of the principles on the EU ladder, as far as I can see there are way less cheese in the US ladder. Maybe also mention what league these videos corresponds to in EU ladder (it seems EU ladder is harder than US). It doesn't have to be from bronze but maybe from plat to GM. It would be great way to show more cheese defence. I really appreciate the huge work youre putting into this and the way you actually restrain yourself from going full GM micro vs. Cheesers in lower leagues. I like the mindset of not caring too much about a random loss as it is helping me not to tilt too much after getting cheesed or smurfed.
EU or US ladder shouldn't matter much. The leagues are the same difficulty in skill, but the MMR is a little bit different - but it still corresponds pretty close to each other.
You should definitely watch your replays and compare your's and vibe's supply at different points of time. Even 30 seconds can make the diifference between easy and hard.

EU or NA doesn't matter. The MMR is slightly different (look it up) the league differential in skill difficulty is the same principal though.
