I have extreme eczema, skin fall off my face, cannot close my hands...before Dupixent. I looked like I was the walking dead while interviewing with my dream job. Like you said my work spoke volumes. My skin is inflamed here and there (thankfully a lot less these 2 months with Dupixent) but my coding and oceanography is what they wanted...Scripps UCSD can deal with my flakey skin. Thank you for sharing your story. I always look to you as I can also come out on top 🐙

For many years I had eczema on the heels of my feet with extreme cracking and itching. At one point I ended up with a bacterial infection. Two and a half years ago I eliminated pasta, potatoes, rice and bread from my diet to lose weight. As a side effect the eczema is virtually gone, so I've continued to stick with the diet. I believe it was the modern cross bred wheats that with unnatural proteins that were confusing my immune system. My diet now consists of any type of meat, lots of salad and most vegetables. I completely avoid pasta, potatoes, rice and bread.

Most modern Bread is made with a protein harvested from pig bristles and human hair. It's added to improve shelf life.

Hi Jeffrey! (And anyone who suffers from Eczema). I have been consuming Blueberries everyday to see if it helps with my eczema. I have been consuming it for the past three months and I noticed that my Eczema is less severe. I have been making a blueberry smoothie everyday and drinking at least two cups of it a day. The smoothie I make is basically just frozen blueberries, water, and a bit of sugar for sweetness. I definitely feel less itchy and have less breakouts. By all means I am not a doctor but I have been reading on blueberries regarding their anti-inflammatory properties. I reckon anyone who suffers should give it a try and see if they are seeing the same results as me. All the best everyone!

I had eczema since I’ve been little it was up and down my arms never my face. Now it’s back again on my hands and fingers. I think it’s all the hand washing. I swear as I’ve gotten older my allergies have gotten ten times worse, I’ve developed nut allergies even though when I was a kid I could eat them all the time. Itchy mouth 24/7. I had a ballon sinuplasty done last year but ever since then my nose is always stuffy. I know doctors told me to lay off it but Benadryl has been the only relief I have, I only take it when my throat feels tight, they’re trying to get me on a regular dose of Cetirizine. I need to get off Benadryl it gives me too many side effects I’m starting to have memory and concentration problems been taking it for two years now nearly everyday. Not trying to get dementia before I’m 30. Anyway interesting channel.

    Hi Jeffrey!
I watch your videos and happen to have atopic dermatits on my scalp. I've started my intial dose of dupixent about a week ago. I have a lot of food allergies and was wondering if eating foods im allergic to is acceptable while on dupixent since it sort of blocks the reaction? Are there any long-term risks in doing this?
(should i continue my life normally and not pay attension to my food allergies or still follow a strict anti-allergy diet?) Thank you so much!

Hey Jeff, thank you for your great example. I have been following you throughout the years and how you work through eczema is amazing. I lived with severe eczema as well all my life. It was so bad I couldn't move at times. I wanted to hear of you have any thoughts on Dr. Richard Aron/ the Aron regime?

Just thought I'd say, when you talked about when first starting on Dupixent when you said looked like Steroid Withdrawal. I am going through exactly the same thing and I can certainly say for me at least its definitely not RSS as the other term for it is (Red Skin Syndrome) it would have been going through a healing crisis, generally they last for a few weeks if not a few months then should start getting better.
Its basically the body getting rid of the inflammation and with eczema the only way it can do that (is a name for the more systemic problem, begins with a H but I cant remember what its called, where involved the liver) is go through the skin.

@@JeffreyLin Must have been immensley painful, was diagnosed myself with eczema when I was very small and then it started reducing to when it was far more manageable (occasionally having minor flares throughout my life). Had a major piece of surgery to deal with well the elimination of inevitable bowel cancer (essentially I dont have a fully working APC gene that exists in Chromosome 5, it essentially regulates cell growth) and had a J Pouch or a form of Ileo Pouch done back in very late 2018. I ended up moving homes and the stress from it caused a major flare of eczema, particularly on my legs that was horrendously painful.
Really do feel for you can't fathom it really, take great care

Hey Aaron! Congrats on starting Dupixent! I’m still on Dupixent and continue to improve every month. My IgE has dropped from its high of 24,000 to 1,800 now with the help of Dupixent. It’s not always a smooth process but hopefully it’ll work as well for you as it has for me

Hey Jeffery, I’m new to your channel, nice content.. I have asthma, chronic eczema and over 20+ allergies, I’m just curious what’s your opinion on montelukast?

    • @JeffreyLin
      @JeffreyLin  3 ปีที่แล้ว

It’s worth trying and fairly safe. I tried it and got super drowsy so I stopped it but most people tolerate it just fine. Also look into Cromolyn if you haven’t tried it. I’ve been on cromolyn for over 10-yrs and it’s helped my food allergies and asthma quite a bit, and it’s much safer than many over the counter meds.

Have you ever considered that you are experiencing TSW (topical steroid withdrawal/red sleeve syndrome) and not regular eczema symptoms? I just found your channel and your symptoms are extremely similar to mine including oozing skin, many allergies and dietary issues.
I am so hoping you see this comment. I would strongly recommend giving TSW a google!
If you are unfamiliar and would like more info please feel free to DM me. Ive had eczema my whole life and have been a TSW sufferer for 4 years now.
