    * Fibromyalgia
    * Rheumatoid arthritis
    * Ulcerative Colitis
    * Parkinson’s Disease
    * Chronic Pain
    * Chronic Fatigue
    Endorphines
    * introduce endorphines
    * natural opioid that body produces internally
    * “Endogenous opioids are enkephalins and endorphins that are primarily produced in the brain and have multiple actions throughout the body. Enkephalins and endorphins act at opioid receptors and their activity can be blocked by opioid antagonists.”
    LDN Method of Action (MOA)
    * OGF: Met-enkephalin - cellular renewal, wound healing, and inhibit tumor growth
    * Naltrexone displaces endorphins bound to OGF receptors
    * Affected cells become deficient in OGF and results in:
    * Receptor production and sensitivity is increased to capture more OGF
    * Production of OGF is increased to compensate for the perceived shortage of OGF
    * LDN blocks OGFr only for a few hours
    * This leads to a rebound effect
    * Production and utilization of OGF is greatly increased.
    * Immune benefits
    * More OGF and OGFr lead to
    * LDN blocks release of proinflammatory cytokines including Interleukins IL6 and IL12, TNFα, NF-ĸB
    * Shift of immune response from TH2 to TH1
    * TH2: chronic inflammatory and degratory cells
    * TH1: healing, regrowth, repair cells
    * Endorphins now interact with the more- sensitive and more-plentiful receptors and assist in regulating cell growth and immunity

    Low dose naltrexone
    June 2024
    I was prescribed LDN to balance my antibodies for hashimotos. I am female at age 69yrs. I started on on 5/23/24. I started with .75 mg which is one pill. Took it for 2 weeks, increased it to two pills which is 1.50mg. Today 6/21/24, I'm on my 5th week which is my third pill at 2:25 mg. At this point I have no negative side effects, I do take it at night. I guess the best thing that I noticed with LDN is that I don't get tired. As soon as I get new blood work I will find out how my antibodies have been reduced. I have listened to several TH-cam videos from different doctors, amazing what this drug can do for so many health issues. All doctors should be educated on this amazing drug to help patients feel better.

    It has taken me over 6 years to get a referral to a doctor who prescribes LDN. I'm waiting for the call to get my appointment scheduled. I've got several issues it's been said to help, including depression that's never been helped by antidepressants. Most doctors don't know about it because it's not a money maker for big pharma. It actually costs the pharmaceutical industry $$ because it replaces so many expensive drugs.

When I got home & googled it I thought it was a mistake! I asked the pharm tech why I was getting it. She shrugged "idk"! We are at the mercy of the worst employee of the day! It will work. I take the liquid preservative free & corn free version. I have your diagnosises & more. Start low & slow. If you have killer nightmares, back down on the quantity. Some people get results quickly, while others take longer. Eventually you will get to a point where you will need to titrate back down. I no longer need 4.5mg & use 1.25mg. Best taken before bedtime (between 9pm -12 midnight).

      I know what you mean. Life is full of challenges, even though this is one of the worst. But since it's tough, you make the cost and suffering worth while by growing and learning from it. If you can endure this, you can handle any other problem in life and you can be the support other people need in their time of trouble.

      God didn't give this world to us, we created it with our free will. Depression is repressed anger, let yourself yell and get it out of your body that you've stored for years because this world we created teaches that feeling emotions are bad. Your emotions are valid. You are loved. Keeping loving who and what you love.

    I have not gotten an endorphin rush in years because of my post exertional malaise and chronic fatigue is symptoms. I'm on day 4 of low-dose naltrexone and I once again remember what the endorphin rush felt like. I literally feel more clear and just a chill sense of well-being. I'm extremely chemically sensitive and I react to everything and get really bad headaches I'm still not a hundred percent sure whether or not I'm reacting to the naltrexone because I've had a low-grade headache regardless but I do feel the endorfin side of it already after three or four days

    I’m curious: From the research I’ve done, ldn, dupixent, and allergy shots work similarly. However, allergy shots seem to be the only long term solution IF you are sbke to correctly diagnose the allergens you are reacting to? Dupixent and ldn seem to only work while using but no long term benefits. Once you stop, the benefits stop?
    Have you done allergy shots or can you not tolerate?

    • @JeffreyLin
      @JeffreyLin  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Brendan! Glad to hear you’re improving. Yeah I had that happen on and off for the first year I was on Dupixent. I’m still on Dupixent now, but as you see in this video, I’m doing great. My personal experience is the face flare is Dupixent healing your skin...your face just might take longer due to your eczema type or the medications you used before. I showed the red and peeling in my first Dupixent video (Ep.119) and Ep.215. The other possibility is the Dupixent dose you’re using is too strong. I did injections every 8-weeks for a long time. Now I’ve slowly increased it to every 6-weeks. You may have to find your perfect dose yourself.

    • @JeffreyLin
      @JeffreyLin  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Keyara, LDN should help since LDN can speed up healing and reduce inflammation naturally. However, I don’t know how much improvement you will have because it depends on your individual body, how bad your TSW is, what other underlying conditions you have, etc. You should definitely try it if you can, but you might need other treatments as well.

    Few weeks ago I started 1.5 mg LDN but I haven’t seen much difference in my nerve pain symptoms but it’s helping me sleep a little better when I wasn’t able to sleep before & I’m getting the vivit dreams that LDN is known to cause. That dreams part I can do without but I’m trying to be patient and see if it can help my pain. I understand that it takes a while up to 3 months for me to see improvement in my pain levels and I’m nervous to ask for a higher dose because I’m extremely sensitive to many proscribed and over the counter meds or supplements. • @JeffreyLin

      I use the brand “All” (free & clear version). I also add a tiny bit of bleach, and use double rinse to get all the detergent out. Methotrexate might have something to do with it if it was obvious that’s when the changes started happening with your sensitivity. I didn’t go well with methotrexate either, but for different reasons.

    I tried LDN at 0.175 and 0.350mg roughly. For me it exhacerbated all my yeast infections and made me feel incredibly bad. Took it for 3 weeks with 2 week at first dose and 1 week at second. Within 3rd week my throat was so raw and sore, my body felt achy and like I had the flu, tired, brain fog increased and just felt generally ill. I believe it upped their oxalate waste production, whIch is something I struggle with in food / yeast to begin with. So it seems if you do have yeast overgrowth it can backfire. Just a heads up to go really slow. I'm in the 10-20% pool of people who react poorly to it.

      I suffered from yeast overgrowth in my system for years and it continually got worse. My doctors and even urgent care couldn’t help and it got so bad that I desperately tried to figure out how to get rid of it and decided to go carnivore and eliminate everything else from my diet. It’s been about two months and I haven’t experienced any of the problems that I was having. My skin has cleared from the horrible rashes, abdominal pain, joint pain, and the bloating are gone.

    Hello 👋 Do you have any links for LDN on treating allergic disorders or MCAS). I have MCAS and POTS. I’m currently taking multiple high dose allergy medications and Xolair injections, but it’s just not enough. I went from mountain running to bedridden overnight. Strangely I developed random anaphylactic reactions to basically everything. I don’t always have a specific trigger. It’s so bizarre and unbearable. I’m hoping the LDN can help calm things down or at the very least help give me enough energy to consistently exercise so I can get healthy again. My doctor said he just needs some studies. I can’t seem to find anything specific to allergy or MCAS or even dysautonomia/POTS. Maybe he could prescribe it for my daily pain. I’m allergic to NSAIDS so my pain meds are limited. So sorry you have similar experiences in life. I’m happy you found some meds to help. As much as I hate medication I wouldn’t be able to live without them 😬 Hope you get this and are able to help

    I just recently commented on this drug on the Swedish medical Channel. Another serious thing people need to take into mind is if you have had a serious head injury do not take this drug. It actually says it in the rare serious side effects. I now have to deal with lifelong idiopathic intercranial pressure which is making me lose vision, severe headaches that make me feel like I'm going to die, pressure behind my right eye so bad that it's making my right eye swell so badly that it feels like I have to hold it in at times, ive had to have 2 lumbar punctures that drained 50% of the fluid from my spinal cord to manage it. The last puncture destroyed my back. And here's the kicker....im only in my early 30's. I have now also developed 2 brain lesions in the area of the brain that effect mood and memory. Please everyone stay safe and consider alternatives to this drug as it is very dangerous.
