so glad your mother is better, Pneumonia is serious in senior citizens.
so glad your mum is better. I had pneumonia once, when I was 45. I couldn’t shake it. I was struggling to breathe while standing in the GP’s reception and the guy - not my usual GP - sent me home refusing to help. In hindsight I should have gone straight to the hospital. 7 days later (the following Saturday when my husband could take me to the GP again), after a week of struggling to breathe, I went to the same practice and saw a different GP who said I had pneumonia and probably had it when I was there the previous Saturday. He gave me antibiotics and I got better but it was a long slog after such an extended period feeling ill. That experience is why I’m so scared of getting covid.
I am SO GLAD your mum got the help she needed and is now feeling better. I don’t think worrying/being scared of pneumonia is an age-based thing. Pneumonia is scary no matter how old you are. May she recover quickly!

I had pneumonia when I was in my late 20's to early 30's. It was awful. Started out as a mild cold and just took off. Your mom could've aspirated a tiny portion of vomit when she was sick to her stomach. It doesn't take much. Will keep her in prayer❤

Wow - switching the background made such a difference! So glad to hear that mom is on the mend.
Kelly my mum had double pneumonia and ended up in intensive care, really was touch and go. She was in her eighties but survived. The paramedics that came to her two years later was really surprised that she was living. Kelly my prayers are with your whole family plus mum and dad. Hugs from your friend in Belfast.xxx❤❤❤
This card is gorgeous! I love that you talk your way through all decisions on 'the next step'. I am thankful your mom was able to find out her exact illness, and it is something that can be treated while she is home. I will continue to pray for her.

So glad she is feeling better. It’s hard when it’s your parents because they typically don’t like to be told what to do. My parents were both terribly stubborn.
Kelly I get pneumonia often, it is a silent virus initially and creeps up on you like a shockwave when it finally decides to hit you. Sending love and hugs to your mum and I have you in my prayers. I am 49 and on end of life and I know I commented in another video how you have made crafting more enjoyable for me, you have. But you have also helped me out of a pretty rotten, self pitying phase and given me something to try and spend sometime out of bed for, or paint, use my markers and get back to sketching in bed if k cannot get up. You are an angel. ❤❤❤❤

Lovely card, I need to do more with my Better Press, I do have a couple of plates so I could experiment with it. I wrapped the magnetic base cellophane from stamp packaging so that it would clean easier.

So very happy that your mum is improving 😊. As an older person myself I know how debilitating such illnesses are. I’d love to see lots more Better Press videos, I would like to get one and want to see other uses for it. Thanks for your stories, I have been binge watching your videos and feel I know you and your family lol. Your hubby is certainly a “keeper”, he sounds lovely.
In addition to Kelly’s fabulous videos (on anything!), check out Jennifer McGuire’s Betterpress vids - she has lots of wonderful ideas & examples! It’s too bad you can’t feel the cards through the videos because it’s hard for the camera to pick up the luxurious texture you get with the Betterpress process!
Hi Kelly! I just started watching your video, and I’m definitely not an expert at the Better Press since I’ve only played with mine twice, I did find that using Archival cleaner works pretty well. I put it onto a rag then cleaned the plates/machine, rather than putting the cleaner directly onto them. Also, putting a piece of cheap watercolor paper between the plate and the vellum should work to make a better impression. The vellum is too thin and has no “give” to work alone. I may give this a try next weekend, so thanks for the inspiration before I’ve seen much of your video. lol
I watched the entire video and wanted to add that your card is gorgeous! I love the pinky-peach, navy, and gold combination. I’m also very happy to hear that your Momma is doing better.
