My biggest concern is that the injury bug needs to let off already. Coach Whitt said the other day he’s down somewhere around 16 of his best players due to injuries as he lost three more over last weekend’s game. Hopefully we get most of those 16 injured players back including cam. Otherwise I’m thinking this is gonna be a down year for us, especially when the competition is going to really increase as we enter conference play.

There harden/Steele are better than the have shown. Also this is maybe the best UCLA has looked on defense chip has had. The star system drives me nuts. I get that it can be very useful from a skill and ceiling potential, but it’s a high school system. So many cling to the 17 yr olds star ratings well into their 20’s

As a UCLA fan, I'm going to help you out a bit: the side of the ball you almost completely ignored is the one you should analyze: UCLA's defense. UCLA has brought in a new defensive coordinator and he has brought a lot more competency to the defense than Chip Kelly has had at UCLA BY FAR! UCLA's defense is a lot more schematically sound and aggressive than last year. Also, secondary play has always been abysmal under Chip Kelly, but this year it has been improving and UCLA is utilizing some better players to help accomplish that. UCLA is not going to be a Top 25 defense or anything like that, but it is markedly improved. And, IMO, that's what really makes UCLA tough because Chip and his offense has pretty much been a top offense for the last 2 years for sure and will be a top offense again this year, with UCLA probably having the best set of receivers that its had in a long time to go with their usual potent run game.
This episode was about UCLA offense against Utah Defense. I'm sure tomorrow's episode will be about Utah's offense against UCLA's Defense. I also agree. UCLA's defense looks good. Latu is a stud and will make it difficult for Utah. Thankfully this game is at home and hopefully we get some players back from injury to pull out a victory.

We always do good against a freshman QB. We will put a ton of pressure on him and he'll be out of sorts. But if Cam isn't back it'll be an ugly loss or ugly win.

I got the feeling Whitt is irritated at all these excessive injuries. Do we have a team loaded with bruising marshmallow cream puffs? The injuries seem a bit excessive numbers for just 3 games and some haven't even yet played a game.

UCLA especially has not played a defense anywhere near as good as Utah this year. Utah also doesn't lose at home. Also, what I think has no bearing on the outcome of the game and whether I "lose" or win. Whittingham will have the team ready to go against UCLA.

Most of those were just precautionary since it was against Weber state.
Lack of quality depth can be a bummer. This is by far the deepest UCLA team ever. He almost platoons them throughout.
