We will know when they play Oregon and USC back-to-back. Especially becuase by then we will also have a better understanding of how good TCU and Nebraska are. At wasu, at utah, at Oregon, at UCLA with tough games like Oregon state and USC at home. It’s possible but I think not likely because of how tough their schedule is.
@@LockedOnCollegeFootball Spencer what your thoughts about playing football games on field turf or natural grass. After what happened to Aaron Rodgers on Monday Night Football.
Pac 12 “reality” is they get waxed by good teams. Kent State played Georgia tougher than Oregon. Oregon barely beat Texas Tech which lost to Wyoming. This is not the high level people claim it is. It’s just not. You guys just don’t know a football player when you see one
As a Dawg fan before the season I was little down on not getting Colorado but now it is looking like it might be good not to have them. Not that they might be a top team (time will tell if that comes to be) but that even if they are not they have the explosive potential to surprise anyone. This way if we do have to play them it will be in the Pac championship and we will have more tape to watch for weaknesses. Unknowns can often surprise early in the season and later lose because they have been figured out some.
Mailbag question: Of the 8 ranked teams, in a hypothetical world. Rank in order which teams would be most negatively impacted if their QB went down with an injury? It seems to me that this year in particular, a few of the top 8 almost completely rely on their QB for the team success (not just offensive success). Curious to know who you think would take the biggest step-backs with an injury at QB1.
CU have 3 defensive player that will be big contributors that were hurt and have not played yet. Robinson and Travis Jay are practicing this week to play and Brandon Grant will be back soon. Also Alton Mccaskill is getting back soon and that will change their offense a great deal. If they get those players for the Duck they can beat any teams in the PAC 12
My best guess from what I have seen so far, I believe Colorado is better than ASU, Arizona, Cal, and Stanford. WSU, UCLA, and Colorado is hard to pick who wins there. To me both CU and WSU are both a lot better than I had expected. That said at this point I think USC, Utah, Washington, Oregon, and Oregon State are still the cream of the crop in the PAC and I don't see Colorado finishing ahead of them. The PAC is so good that it is so hard to pick anyone to be clearly the best and everyone in the conference could feasibly lose at least 2 games. Finally, the road games for them are against the best and hard to win those, and they do have Oregon State at home, however Oregon State has potentially the best defense in the conference and that may be the game where they don't score as much as usual for them and potentially poses their toughest home game. So as of week 2, I see Colorado going 7-5 and 4-5 in the conference.
Bullshit. The PAC 12 has never been in the playoff. They aren’t elite. Colorado can beat any team in that conference. USC will be tough. The rest have fans that are just full of shit. I went to Texas. My brother in law has a ring from the 90 CU championship. I played and can assess players. None of these guys can do that.
@@MiRi-zi4wp Agreed, feels like they (or alleast the Buffs insider) is marking that as an easy W which is silly. Pac-12 is a gauntlet this season and no game, especially against a team thats ranked, should be taken lightly.

Spencer, You and Borba have too much faith in the Buffs. I'm sorry, I don't agree with you on the Buffs' prospects as a solid team - especially when you put their games against TCU and Nebraska in proper perspective: The TCU that Buffs narrowly defeated have so far disappeared from the top 25 teams in all ranking sources, which means they aren't even as good as earlier billed. That's the win that propelled Colorado to top 25 ahead of better teams. Matt Ruhle's Nebraska is still a work in progress and was never a good football team, in the first place. That's another domino that fell for the Buffs to bring the latter to a 2-0 start. Now the Buffs move into the PAC-12, and certain to lose 6 games there. First of all, they are not going to win against USC and even Risingless Utah... that's a given. When it comes to Wazzu, the Cougars are very good - in fact, better than billed, and a visiting team winning in Pullman is like a visiting team defeating the Green Bay Packers in Lambeau field. Therefore, the Buffs have no chance there either. When it comes to Oregon State, the best team in PAC-12, it is simply going to be a beat down win against Deion and his boys. Moving on, I don't see how your Oregon Ducks will lose to this upstart Buffs. The Buffs' against Arizon is the one that will be a toss-up, but Arizona is a better and a more experienced team this year with Delaura and will win that game, though it's in Colorado.
