Indeed. I went my entire bw2 save using mainly volcarona, and solod champ with it 🤷♂️🤷♂️ if you know what you've got it is most definitely ban worthy
@@j44son If only that was enough then Zapdos would be way high up there. It trades off the ground weakness for two weakness which got a major boost in Gens 4 and 5, so I would argue the flying probably lowered it.
Not just the elite four most of the game in both bw and bw2 and it gets it all by level 28 I think. He super underrated it it’s only problem is that it only has one attacking move in those sets
@@CEOofAutism damn chill I absolutely love Scolipede too but a pseudo legend ? Idk man getting one after the 2nd badge that can be fully evolved after the level 30 seems a bit too overpowered
I think reuniclus was underrated here. It gets recover and is bulky, has hi special attack, and can set up its own trick room. It also gets calm mind, acid armor, and stored power so it can run a really bulky stores power set. And has good coverage moves like shadow ball and focus miss. Idk personally I would place it in high A tier at least. Access to its own trick room and self recovery with that bulk and really high special makes it a super reliable mon that can even sweep with trick room.
I remember using it in my very first run of White because I loved its design, and it was an enormous pain in the ass to raise, but the payoff was a strong bulky, if slow, psychic sweeper. It has the bulk to tank hits while it Calm Minds, it learns Recover even if you want to play with that.
Its still pretty bad in gen 5 tho. All its gonna use in its learnset is Megahorn and maybe aqua tail since earthquake is postgame. Plus in gen 5 its base 90 attack compared to base 100 later
I feel like he underrated Leavanny. You can get it extremely early, it gets sword's dance, and overall is really good early-mid game. You have to be more careful late game but to be honest it has great attack and good speed. It also annihilates the gen 5 elite four. I used it to sweep ghetsis.
It might be good in the official games, but he's ranking it in a nuzlocke perspective. And knowing leavanny's horrible type matchup it might die early in nuzlockes
@@hime1896 Might is a flakey word, I mean he might not die early! I mean if you have to catch a sewaddle as an encounter anyways, may as well use him to full potential.
I loved mine in White 2 but I boxed him for my Drapion eventually. Quite clearly the weakest member of the team. Being x4 weak to two types..... I had enough. I’m sending love to my PC. Also do you know how many Pokémon in the gen 5 games and in general resists Grass and/or Bug? It’s sickening.
2 years late but yeah, gets really early quiver dance (The earliest of any pokémon in fact) Aromatherapy and Giga Drain. I'd say it's like in the middle of S tier for sure.
I think Cinccino is a little underrated since you can get a guaranteed skill link minccino in b2w2, and even if you get one with cute charm encore and stab returns off a 95 attack and 115 speed is pretty good. That being said it probably isn't above like high B tier or low A tier.
Yeah, I used Cincinno in my b2w2 playthrough before. And his movepool is surprisingly diverse for a Normal type. Rock, grass, water, fighting, steel, poison and ground.
@@paigey-poo4235 Are you really putting cute charm above Skill Link? CC requires you to get hit, and Cincinno's bulk is awful. Plus, it doesn't even work every time. With Skill Link you can basically guarantee OHKO on a lot of things
I used Cinccino in Volt White 2 once and got Technician. At first I was kinda sad that I didn't get Skill Link, but then I slapped a Scope Lens and gave it all the multi hits it wanted and just kinda melted things with Tail Slap
Since Audino is my favourit Gen5 pokemon. Here some of my thought. Female Audino with Regenerator will be low A. It learn Secret Power early. Its pretty bulky so it won't be down easily. It has a lot of utility move. I usually used Her as paralyze spreader and switch out often so this pokemon is unkillable. Female Audino is better than male Audino because most of your opponent pokemon are male. Therefore you can do a lot of shenanigan with attract. I remember defeating Ghetsis Hydreigon with Audino using paralyze attract strat. So much fun.
I agree, playing my first Pokemon BW nuzlocke right now, and Audino is definitely a core in my team. It can basically tank any hit that is not fighting type, and Secret power + Flash + Attract makes for a great disruptive combo
@paula Except non-attacking moves are a huge part of more advanced strategy. Hazards, accuracy, crit rate, leech seed and status conditions play a huge part in Pokemon too, not just attacking
@paula If your pokemon is Hydreigon i will agree with you. Especially since Hydreigon can 1-shot most pokemon with correct movepool. However Audino is not a heavy hitter. She's a tank. It usually take Audino 4-5 hit to knock out enemy like Hydreigon. And since Hydreigon can 2 shot audino with focua blast we need strategy to get as many turn as possible. Best option is to paralyze and immobilize.
Bruh, Stoutland needs to be A tier for sure. Not only does it have the good points that you mentioned (intimidate/STAB return), it also has insane stats. Lowest stat is 80 on speed (if you ignore special attack)! Tackle is the best early stab move in Pokemon black/white. You’re guaranteed to get at least one in a nuzlocke and in the early game. Return is really broken too. Hits almost everything for 150 damage. Normal type is a phenomenal defensive typing too. All you need is a flying/physic/etc. type to negate it. Borderline broken Pokemon in nuzlockes if you if ask me.
The issue is that there's better normal types. Bouffalant is slower but gets Swords Dance via Level Up and hits WAY harder (Head Smash is 216 Base Power when you add STAB and Reckless, plus Bouffalant has 110 Attack), Braviary is the same speed with much higher attack plus Sheer Force, Unfezant is faster and has higher attack and gets Super Luck (plus Scope Lens was added in B/W), Cinccino is much faster and has similar attack (and gets Skill Link and Encore). Even Sawsbuck is faster, has the same attack, gets better coverage (Horn Leech, Jump Kick, and Megahorn), and gets Double-Edge via Level Up. Stoutland also has no good STAB moves other than Return. It's best Level Up STAB move is Retaliate (which only works well when something died). So without TM's it get nothing. Whereas the other normal types at least get some decent moves. TL;DR Stoutland is outclassed by other normal types and gets very little coverage or good STAB moves via level up. Unless you use the move relearner to get all the elemental fangs. Though it does have a good ability (Intimidate).
@@hughmann8458 it's not about the other normal type are better but stoutland standalone is very Good ..good typing, good ability, good stats, heck,it can be your surfer if yours water type died..it's also got crunch and elemental fangs, setup moves like sand attack and workup ( yup, sand attack actually pretty useful in nuzlocke)..it's can be your kind of tank while doing damage.. bouffalant and braviary are good but they're in late game and pretty rare
I mean that instead of doing all the pokemon in one tier list, do them separately according to regional pokedex of games. So, for example, Red/Blue would have one tier list, Emerald would have one tier list, etc. Makes up for a better comparison and a pseudo-guide imo.
I think he means from a few points strictly pertaining to the gen’s corresponding game. Ranking Gen 5 Pokémon alone against each other.. Not on a universal scale between all the generation’s Pokémon.
I think the main reason why he didnt rank it high enough is because his Attack is only very average in gen 5, being a measly 90 compared to 100 in gen 6. It gets Megahorn by heart scale which is beautiful considering youde have it by the time you evolve it. But its Level up learnset is very mediocre besides that. It doesnt get poison jab until the post game in bw2 which isnt a big deal, but earthquakes also post game. Aqua Tail and Super Power are locked behind shard tutors so its annoying to grind for the shards. Overall Scolipede is very lacking in gen 5 since a lot of its good moves come in super late or take a good long while to teach
@@notoriouscasual5004 In gen 5 most pokemons learnsets were garbage, as to counter TM's being infinite. You can teach it Posion Jab after getting Surf in BW, and it's an excellent batton passer, learning Agility and Iron Defense by level up and Swords Dance by TM.
@@M4x_P0w3r but SD is post game and in gen 5, and poison type moves are bad because fairies didn’t exist plus it doesn’t have great bulk plus a typing that is weak to rock, psychic, and flying isn’t great plus it loses it resistance to ground which isn’t great
For a guy who loves giving so much praise to bibarrel and ratcate, he's shitting on scolipede a little too much. like it gets toxic (although its pretty late), iron defense, agility, swords dance (TM if you do the subway in B2/W2) and baton pass. Has decent base stat total and is really fast. Evolves pretty early Plus if you don't ban black sludge you have somewhat reliable recovery with protect. 6% every turn. And unlike leftovers i don't think its broken as only poison types can use it. Also toxic will never miss. You can use it as a sweeper as 112 speed means you outspeed almost everything else and if you have good TMs it could have SD, EQ, rock slide & x scissor (assuming you keep it alive till that point). Its definitely better than some of the garbage in B tier. So much viability - sweeper, toxic staller and support baton passer Gen 6 and 7 it gets even better as fairy typing gives you a reason to actually use the poison stab, its attack goes from base 90 -> 100, hidden ability becomes speed boost, slightly better move pool & easier access to some useful TMs like swords dance. Gen 8 it got a little worse because it lost megahorn as a level 0 move but since raid battles exist you can get megahorn from that (although it doesn't really matter as you can't get venipede until post game unless you are playing an hacked version of the game or a rom using gen 8 mechanics) Bro how is ferro not S tier? Phenomenal typing (only being weak to fire and fighting), has recovery in the form of leech seed protect and great defenses. Like in competitive I've seen ferrothorns live CCs off some pretty powerful mons. Should be an easy S tier I'd argue its better than mamo and almost all the guys below. Not sure why drill, scizor and bro are "worse" than mamo. If its gen 2 scizor i don't think its fair as he'd be like B tier but if you get roost on scizor it instantly goes from B -> S if its gen 1 bro, i can see it being lower than mamo but current bro. level up bro gets slack off Honestly Bro and Scizor should be high S WTF Genies is unsure... Some of these choices are extremely questionable. Also I personally wouldn't allow any legendary pokemon as they are guaranteed free encounters. even if they are like super bad such as regigigas its still a free encounter with good stats. like i'd much rather have a regigigas than the majority of the pokemon in B tier and below. Slow start makes gigas' 160 base attack -> 80 which is better than some other pokemon in low tiers and has better bulk. Back to the genies, lando is for sure bannable with shear force, other two aren't as good but they have great stats and pretty good coverage
@Pott Rott for someone who claims to be the best nuzlock player I feel that he still lacks a lot of game knowledge to live up to that title. Especially with some of the places some pokemon were put. I wouldn't take this list too seriously. I just had to point out scolipede as its way better than C tier. I'd argue its low A tier expecially since you get it pretty early and it evolves relatively early as well. Another Mon I really disagree with is dragonite being S tier. Honestly its one of the worst pseudo legendries, you're stuck with its pre-Evo's for way too long and they're pretty shit, its slow without any boosts and only decently bulky without multiscale. I'd personally put it in B or low A tier just because you are stuck with dratini till 30 and dragonair till 55. I know the other pseudo's pre-evo's aren't too spectacular but i think their level up moveset is way better and/or have a better typing. S tier pseudo's in my opinion are Garchomp, Salamence & Metagross. They all get to their final form at a lower level than dragonite, they have better level up movesets (beldums is pretty bad till you get it to 20 and evolve but being a steel type it beats the majority of early game pretty easily) and they all have a better typing (except mence which is the game).
@Pott Rott I personally wouldn't ban hydreigon because its a lot like dragonite. You are stuck with its pre-evo until like 34 and 64, if you get hydreigon it's better than dragonite but getting to hydreigon is just a pain in the ass. I don't think the levels have been changed in rom hacks, if they have I assume it's the same as dragonite so I personally wouldn't ban it but put it around high A or S tier. Especially since for some reason it's more of a physical Pokémon before reaching its final evolution then does a 180 and become more special orientated which makes it an even greater pain in the ass. As for excadrill, I would put it in S tier but I don't think it's ban worthy. Sand rush in gen 5 is broken for sure but in a nuzlocke playthrough it's highly unlikely you will have both a sand rush drill and a sand stream Pokémon. I guess you can set up your own sandstorm but that takes a turn and you are sacrificing SD or a third coverage move. Sandstorm and sandstream Pokémon (gen 6+) only last 5 turns (assuming that you don't have a smooth rock) and you have to switch in drill. By the time you set up you could have probably already beaten the opponent. The only generation I can see drill being ban worthy is gen 8 where it can dynamax and set up its own sandstorm without losing out on an attacking move. Saying that it also has other abilities it could get (mold breaker HA) although sand force isn't bad but again if it ain't gen 5 with a weather setter it's not a great ability.
@Pott Rott nvm what I said about hydreigon. Miss read your comment. 100% agree excadrill is better than hydreigon. I don't think drill is ban worthy though, you need certain conditions to be met for it to be broken which are unlikely to be met in a nuzlocke
I think he just rushes the tierlist because an explanation for each pokemon would seem way too long. But yeah, you still stand solid with everything you say.
How do you put Beedrill and Butterfree above the unova bugs? All of them are way better than the Kanto bugs. Their stats, movepools and Abilities are serperior.
He ranks them based on the gen/region they're in. The Kanto bugs are pretty good inside of Kanto. Even outside of Kanto, Butterfree is okay. It gets Compound Eyes + Sleep Powder, which makes it almost 100% accurate. And it evolves very early. Beedrill is weaker. But it can beat Misty, takes basically no damage from Erika, and can sweep Sabrina if you can set up an Agility. Solo'ing 3 gym leaders is pretty good for an early game bug that evolves at level 10.
Especially since Aqua jet gets bumped up to 80 by adaptability, making Basculin actually one of the better water types in the game. You can also get Rock Head, and just spam Double Edges
10:08 that's such an excellent call I wanna say. It literally saved a doomed E4 run of mine where I lost four pokemon to two members, leaving it and another pokemon. It went on to completely sweep the rest of the E4, and put a considerable amount of work into N and Ghetsis before dying. Tbf it had modest compound eyes with Thunder and bug buzz for caitlin so it wasn't hard to just let it rip through teams once other members died. Mostly a mistake on my half for being too confident on a 2 death run into the E4, and I was also like way younger too so I wasn't exactly a strategist at that point. I barely eaked that victory out, and it's one of the reasons why Galvantula is now one of my favorite pokemon.
Just used a galvantula playing white 2 recently, loved it! It’s move pool has exactly what it needs, nothing special but what it does, it does so well. Well enough in fact that I had cut on it and when I was deleting HM’s before the league I couldn’t think of anything to replace it with so I slapped thunderbolt on it even though he really didn’t need it. If I hadn’t needed cut in the first place I might have gone the whole game without changing the move set he had when I caught him. Electro web, electro ball, signal beam, bug bite. What more did I need? Well. A cut mon is what I needed, specifically for the route right before Victory Road where half the route is behind a cut tree for some godawful reason. And It’s not like there are a bunch of berry holding mons anyway.
@@sebastianchavez1225 That was one of the fights I had lost two pokemon on. Like I swept two members with the galvantula pretty much, I believe it was grimsley and Caitlin. I was doing a wedlocke at the time (can only switch between two pokemon until they get knocked out) and I ended up losing two pairs to Shauntal and Marshal.
I actually think Unfezant line is underrated. I’m doing a black 2 nuzlocke and so far it was my longest lasting member. From level 2 to 34ish where it only died to a crit. It’s also a physical attacker that can get stab return, quick attack and fly really early as well as roost all before the 4th gym. It wrecks Burgh and can do work on the ground gym. Not sure if late game though
Cincinno was underrated in my opinion. 95 attack and 115 speed makes it a great glass cannon , guaranteed access to bullet seed and rock blast gives it great coverage and you can get it right when it evolves .
Jan Lore part 4: Germany does not have an UberEats equivalent and some days Jan has no access to a car, so when he wants fast food he cannot always get it. Is this a blessing in disguise or a pokemoF moment?
I feel that everyone sleeps on the Simi lines, they are amazing mons. You get there best stab move at 22 (Scald for Pour, Seed Bomb for Sage, and Flame Burst for Sear). So you can evolve them just before fighting Burgh. Also there base stats are insane, all of the evolutions have a base stat total of 498, which is higher than Darmanitan, Liligant, and Jellicent. I highly recommend getting the Simi lines in the Dreamyard, they will carry your team during the early to mid game, and still be able to carry their weight in the late game.
As sb playing a BW nuzlocke so far, my experience: -Intimidate stacking is super good, as always. -STAB Retalitae on Lenora after defeating the Herdier always or almost always OHKO, try to kill the Herdier with Watchog then use Detect or switch to a Sturdy Rogenrolla -Liepard cant get paralyzed and Pursuit hits through VoltSwitch before the switch so its an option there. -the monkeys are useful for their early evols, Simipour gets Scald and Simisage gets Leech Seed. -Unfezant has like no great moves -Swoobat has 50% chance to get a useless ability, but is fast and can get Charge Beam for the 5th gym. -Audino's Regenerator + "normal pokemon" TM movepool makes it a really good choice. Doesnt do a lot of damage but tanks. -Mractus was ok for me so far, gave me good results. -Eviolite Yamask CARRIES SO MUCH. Will o Wisp + Haze to cancel the Hone Claws stacking murders Excadrill which can be a run ender.
I would actually put Krookodile in S, pretty easily as well. I didnt get one in my white nuzlocke, but in my white 2 challenge mode i did, and let me tell you, expert belt lonely Krookodile (without EV training) basically soloed 3 members of the elite 4, and got a couple of kills on the fighting member and champ each, as well as a clutch pivot with intimidate that allowed me to finish Iris safely. It gained like 4 or 5 levels in the league lol. For Unova's E4 specifically i think it might actually be better than Excadrill. I believe i was running EQ, Crunch, Rock Slide, and Brick Break. I mean, that think seriously 1 shots Shantall, Grimsley, and Caitlynn's entire teams. Oh, and while i have been talking mainly about the E4, it performs very well throughout. Plus, you can delay evo to get EQ before Drayden, which may or may not matter. Also, if you're lacking super effectiveness against Dragons, it does get Outrage, which while not great, is a possible out if you got REALLY unlucky with encounters. Id also rank Jellicent higher. Definitely above Lapras, arguably S tier as well. I got one in both gen 5 games, and it is SO tanky, plus has good damage. Its immune to Fighting, Normal, and possibly Water (due to water absorb), gets Will 'o' Wisp, Hex, and Recover (and either surf or Ice beam as the last slot) making it basically immune to physical attacks in general, provided you get the burn off and Hex coming in at 130 BP + STAB on a burned target kills pretty quickly, plus you actually do get leftovers. Also, this is pretty niche, but if you get enough BP for a red card, you can do strats that allow you to burn problem mons (like drayden and Iris' Haxorus) before they get to act. Bonus points for breaking Iris' Haxorus's Focus Sash in BW2. Also, id say Ferrothorn might actually be banworthy. You just have to play around the few things that can deal with it, which is basically fire types, Focus Miss, and maybe a statused Guts Conkeldurr. And even those are probably taking Iron Barbs + Rocky Helmet damage unless your name is Chandelure.
braviary in white 2 is a monster, its an interact encounter that always comes with defiant. just have it in for an intimidate and sweep. has great movepool for a normal/flying type and ridic attack
Samurott isn’t exactly insane but in terms of a BW2 nuzlocke water types are pretty scarce since you don’t get a fishing rod until endgame so you’re kinda drained on water types, with not many other choices at least early to late mid game plus you have a lot of good advantages like beating burghs dwebble, a good stab with razor shell, insane coverage with Ice beam/blizzard, megahorn, Surf, and brick break/razor shell late game, and it completely nukes BW2 clay.
I've just finished gym 5 on white 2 and i think going in with a dewott(level cap is 33) against clay's excadrill is very risky lol. Both can take out each other with a crit but his excadrill is much faster
@@glumreaper8885 Welp im in the middle of a US blind nuzlocke, and im getting rolled over. Literally. I probably shouldn't be using level caps (or at least 2 levels over trial pokemons) but i got literally wiped from Araquinid in the 3rd trial like three times. I had to ignore my whole team dying for 3 times to even have a chance to finish it (ye, noob move, but i kinda wanted to clear it and forget it for my first attempt) and i cant imagine the game getting any easier. I already restarted like 3 times, i died twice in the first town and i lost plenty of pokemons even in this run. Seriously US has an annoying amount of hand holding but the gameplay is really fucking good even in vanilla versions, i dont get the hate.
It leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I feel like it's cool until the tail and then it looks kinda goofy. I'm a much bigger fan of Ponyta and Rapidash, they do a good job making the fire both look like it's actively burning and like it's its tail and mane and stuff. the zigzaggy lines on Zebstrika are just kinda lame in comparison
It makes my heart sing that Sigilyph (my favorite pokemon) was deemed "surprisingly good, lots of potential with utility moves" by the #1 nuzlocker in the world! I've been trying to convince people that Sigilyph is good, but no one ever listens to me 😅
Eelektross deserved higher imo, the only downside it has is it's slow but it's got decent bulk with no weaknesses and great mixed attacking stats with an actual insane move pool, it has coverage for every situation
Excadrill is definitely better than Kingdra. It's typing gives him 2 immunities and 8 resists as opposed to Kingdra's 3 resists and 0 immunities, which means Excadrill is super easy to pivot in and setup sweep with. Swords Dance is a better setup move than Dragon Dance given both mons have speed boosting weather abilities. Excadrill's coverage is also WAY better than Kingdra's and finally, Kingdra only learn special moves. Outrage is an egg move, so you can't have it on Nuzlockes; and Waterfall is usually very late, which means you'll be running Surf/Hydro Pump and Dragon Pulse until gym 6-8.
I never understood why they made Hydreigon evolve at 64. Not just because its a ridiculous level to reach, but also if you look at the in game fights where its used (Ghetsis in bw and b2w2 and iris in b2w2) their Hydreigon's are under level 64( 54, 52 and 57). Why would they make it evolve at 64 if in game fights don't even follow its evolution levels?
4:58 that’s not the gen 5 Learnset. You can definitely get Megahorn for the Elite 4. I should know, it was Scolipede outspeeding Hydreigon with Megahorn that allowed me to win!
ive used Escavalier fairly recently and its pretty great. amazing bulk, even more amazing attack, incredible typing, shit speed but it only has one weakness. battle armor blocks those crits too. swords dance is an option but i had a lot of success running one with iron defense/rest/x-scissor/iron head in challenge mode b2w2. I'd rank it pretty highly.
I'm 3 years late but I might as well comment anyway for those who are watching this in the future: Cinccino is genuinely really good, specifically in Black2/White2. It's a guaranteed spawn in the Hidden Grotto tutorial so you'll always be able to get one with the hidden ability Skill Link. Then as soon as you can evolve it, you just bring it to the PWT and use a few heart scales to give it Tail Slap, Rock Blast, and Bullet Seed. I gave mine a Scope Lens so that it wouldn't miss as often. It surprisingly only falls off around the Elite Four since the enemy Pokemon just get too good. But any time before that, even without a King's Rock, that thing puts in work. Outspeeds tons of things and chunks everything for at least decent damage.
I'd say Throh us probably extremely low C tier because it's movepool. If it had more than Brick Break, Circle Throw, and Storm Throw, I think it would at least be a B tier, but the really poor S.T.A.B. options limit it a lot. Edit: my dumbass forgot about Superpower, but even then, that's so late in most games to the point where you'll probably have many better pokemon that outclass Throh, whether it's as a fighting type or overall
Stunfisk is very underrated. In hacks like inclement emerald you can get it even before the first gym, and it's defensive capabilities are really great. Getting storm drain as a ground type is such a bless
Okay so about krookodile Sandile, and even krokorok are admittedly not very good, and right, with intimidate it's like an okay-ish mon that hits decently hard with a good typing and a good learnset, although it takes a while to learn earthquake (you get access to dig as early as you can get a sandile though). But moxie. If moxie were guaranteed, I'd have said this thing is ban-worthy. Moxie is just completely nuts. I can't stress that enough. Like really, even moxie SANDILE is usable. Moxie krokorok is actually decent for the time you have it, and as soon as you get a moxie krookodile, it's OVER. Okay sure it get slapped by water, grass and fighting types, but EVERYTHING that isn't one of those typings just... drops dead. If you ever manage to get a kill, you become completely unstoppable, and since strong trainers usually don't lead with their strongest pokemon... You get the picture. Krookodile single-handedly makes the Drayden fight, as well as 3 of the 4 elite 4, and THE N FIGHT trivial (carracosta's here with sturdy but eh, if you 92 speed is good enough that the AI won't outspeed you in 99% of cases. That mon almost single-handedly carried me through a NO HIT CHALLENGE in pokemon black. With level caps (not always the gym leader's levels because that would be completely insane), but yeah, that's pretty insane if you ask me (I admittedly EVd it though, but it had TERRIBLE attack IVs). Krook in A ? Intimidate krook sure does belong here. Moxie krook belongs in the highest possible tier. You also did underrate cinccino. It's a glass cannon but boy does technician rock blast / bullet seed / tail slap HURT.
Liligant is surprisingly good, I am doing a run with it, and it has a really good moveset. (In BW 1 at least) you get Mega Drain at 26 and sleep powder on catch, evolve for Elesa, decent pivot since resist electric and bait fire/flying move, then Quiver Dance at 28 (I think) and as you mentioned you will eventually get own tempo+petal dance
So I dont get seismitoad's ranking here since the way i see it its just an objectively better quagisre because its hp is 10 points higher its attack is 10 points higher it has an actual speed stat and 20 more special attack making most water moves way better. Can someone explain how quagsire is better dont get me wrong I love quagsire but he doesn't exactly have the greatest stats, so is there something im just not getting?
Honestly man you should eventually try to use an accelgor in a run it's a fast bug type sweeper with a 495 base stat total a pretty dang nice setup sweeper learnset and can also be used as just a quick switch spiker if it has a bad nature.
Hey i got a question, started my first hardcore and first ever nuzlocke ever in emerald, lost first attempt to may fight and second to drake's mence sweeping me. What level cap do you recommend for the H nuzlocke hoeen e4??? I had 49 and speed was the issue that dropped me on drake
I usually would fit he champions highest level but probably wouldn’t go all the way just to keep the challenge and account for the levels I’d gain through the elite 4
Excadrill probably borders on banned tier tbh, strong typing, strong attack, excellent moves and swords dance setup, and both of its sandstorm abilities are pretty broken.
Why is this only 20 minutes and I cannot see what he has on the top? Is there a link to his completed list? Would have liked to hear him talk about all the top ones
@@Whukariousprods I didn't like it initially, but I played it and liked it. B&W 2 is quite difficult because of the challenge mode. I was turned off by this game years ago when I saw Vanillish. Lol. It has awesome music.
I managed to finish my White Nuzlocke with Emboar, Carracosta, Chandelure, Krookodile, Leavanny and Vanilluxe. Items and switch enabled though , next I'm gonna try set and after that I'll try no items too
Though Haxorus gets dragon dance at 32 you should look at Axew instead because Axew gets it at the same level, it's couple of levels before evolution it's possible to get and use without the move relearner . Also in the Unova games Axew is caught in Mistralton cave and in Black & White could be at most lvl 31 and in Black 2 & White 2 at most 30.
I solo ran Scolipede in Pokémon White 2 and it went incredible. Scolipede holds so many good memories for me, and I really was expecting to be frustrated by it. I maxed out its Attack and Speed EVs and gave it a few Defense EVs and a bit of HP EVs just cause. I had trouble with Colress’ Steel Types but Superpower demolished them quickly.
Audino in the gen 5 games is S tier. You get it super early, so you have a pokemon with amazing stats before like the first gym. And if you're running species clause, you can catch it early and then all other shaking grass encounters can be the encounter that isn't Audino. So really good wild encounter manipulation.
Can someone explain why excadrill is so good? Stab earthquake coming off an amazing attack is obviously great, but it’s slower for an offensive mon, has mediocre defenses and several common weaknesses. Sure sand rush + SS is obviously broken, but it’s not like you can easily put together a sand team in Gen 5, am I missing something?
Pidgeot's in blaze black 2 is monstrous. Gave it roost superpower, return and brave bird and it has speed boost ability, it also has a really good hp and attack, making it very strong and bulky other than being fast
i don't get how you ban these pokemon , there is no option in my emu that say's ban picked pokemon only ban legendary from spawning in the game ? but they are still static?
@@fredericksaxton9782 ah ok i thought it was a option from a randomizer of something, also does anyone know a way to increase shiny rate to 20% in bw2 ?
@@fredericksaxton9782 I'd go with the re-encounter option if you encounter a banned Pokemon or one in the same evolution chain of said Pokemon unless you're ok with using the pre-evolved form.
I think Volcarona gets negative points for evolving so late. In my most recent BW playthrough, I grabbed my Larvesta as soon as it was available (after entering Twist Mountain) and I had to leave it in the daycare, then grind like there's no tomorrow to have it ready for the elite 4. Very powerful, but it's meant to be used in the late game and competitive.
Max Power I used mine in Sword and Shield when I deleted my save file and got an early Larvesta in the Isle of Armor before the first gym and it did really good as a Larvesta although it did slightly fall off in the second half of the mid game but it was all over once it evolved into Volcorna I destroyed of Leon's Pokémon expect Charizard with it and it was a killer in the postgame
Seismitoad in gen 5 is trash which sucked because I wanted my first playthrough of black to be centered around it but I learned way too late that it's a physical attacker and it's only good physical stab move is earthquake which it doesn't learn and can only be found after the elite four
Hum ? No. Seismitoad is a mixed attacker (85 in both offenses in gen 5) so you could have ran surf as your main stab (and also dig as a ground stab is not bad at all with 80 bp) and also Seismitoad is a tank and a good one at that, it has : -105/75/75 a good bulk -water/ground type a fantastic typing -74 speed is actually pretty good since it alows Seismitoad to outspeed all the other tanks in the game And finally a nuzlock meta isn’t the same as an in game meta so saying a pokemon is bad in a nuzlock because it’s not the best in game isn’t very accurate
Is there a reason there is no video for gen 6 or 7? he still had them left on the list and didnt do any kind of outro so i assume the stream kept going
He hasn’t nuzlocked those gens a lot so if I had to assume he tried to continue realized how shitty his rankings would have been and decided not to make a video on it
First time watching these tier list videos, I gotta say, I don’t really like the idea of banning a Pokémon for nuzlockes, just like I don’t like the idea of banning a Pokémon for competitive. For me, part of the joy of the game is fighting hard, leveling up, choosing the right moves, and after you’ve finally got that powerful, late-game Pokémon, just annihilating everything that stands in your way and enjoying that sweet sweet catharsis. If you started out with a Reshiram or a Terrakion to begin with that’s different, but you have to put in real effort to get them, so using them doesn’t feel like cheating, it feels earned.
Tell yall something in the game he mentioned blaze black I tried a full competitive team for the play through and boy does salamence dragon dance swept the game
Volcarona is ban worthy in Vanilla BW2 it's a guaranteed encounter after the Ground gym at 35 and it's pretty insane

Nicholas Perry most of those moves are super late game though so it would be harder to make use of it throughout a nuzlocke
Additionally, Reuniclus is useless against a lot of trainers in Gen 5. For example, the grunts.
I remember using it in my very first run of White because I loved its design, and it was an enormous pain in the ass to raise, but the payoff was a strong bulky, if slow, psychic sweeper. It has the bulk to tank hits while it Calm Minds, it learns Recover even if you want to play with that.
it’s just so damn slow and its pre evos are even slower and super weak
I have a great memory of reuniclus sweeping my friends’ tournament on Pokémon showdown because no one could deal with calm mind pure psychic

In bw1 its even worst since itll only use rock slide and megahorn for the main game since tutors don’t exist

One of the Pokémon you can get with a rare ability that I’d prefer not to! Like yeah, it’s a good ability but cute charm is just ridiculous
@@paigey-poo4235 Are you really putting cute charm above Skill Link? CC requires you to get hit, and Cincinno's bulk is awful. Plus, it doesn't even work every time. With Skill Link you can basically guarantee OHKO on a lot of things
@@paigey-poo4235 CC is meh, very luck dependant and you'll die before it gets useful most likely, while Skill Link is fantastic on Cincinno.

So much fun.
i thought u were doing some weird roleplay thing before you mentionned attract
I agree, playing my first Pokemon BW nuzlocke right now, and Audino is definitely a core in my team. It can basically tank any hit that is not fighting type, and Secret power + Flash + Attract makes for a great disruptive combo
I love Audino, but its absolutely not an A tier in Nuzlockes, I think he placed it pretty well tbh.
Negate fighting is what I meant!
and lilipup can solo the the gym in bw1 and 2
The issue is that there's better normal types.
TL;DR
Stoutland is outclassed by other normal types and gets very little coverage or good STAB moves via level up. Unless you use the move relearner to get all the elemental fangs. Though it does have a good ability (Intimidate).

You should do these game-wise. Would be pretty interesting to watch.
The hell does "gamewise" mean?
I mean that instead of doing all the pokemon in one tier list, do them separately according to regional pokedex of games. So, for example, Red/Blue would have one tier list, Emerald would have one tier list, etc. Makes up for a better comparison and a pseudo-guide imo.
I think he means from a few points strictly pertaining to the gen’s corresponding game. Ranking Gen 5 Pokémon alone against each other.. Not on a universal scale between all the generation’s Pokémon.
@@rotciv557 I think he don't know what gen means.
Why do it again when you're ranking them all?
Dude, what the hell, Scolipede is Gen 5 is pretty strong. You looked up the wrong gen movelist
@@M4x_P0w3r but SD is post game and in gen 5, and poison type moves are bad because fairies didn’t exist plus it doesn’t have great bulk plus a typing that is weak to rock, psychic, and flying isn’t great plus it loses it resistance to ground which isn’t great
It has its disadvantages but its so damn cool
Y'all still playing Pokemon while I play Pokemmo
For a guy who loves giving so much praise to bibarrel and ratcate, he's shitting on scolipede a little too much.
like it gets toxic (although its pretty late), iron defense, agility, swords dance (TM if you do the subway in B2/W2) and baton pass.
Has decent base stat total and is really fast. Evolves pretty early
Plus if you don't ban black sludge you have somewhat reliable recovery with protect.
So much viability - sweeper, toxic staller and support baton passer
Gen 6 and 7 it gets even better as fairy typing gives you a reason to actually use the poison stab, its attack goes from base 90 -> 100, hidden ability becomes speed boost, slightly better move pool & easier access to some useful TMs like swords dance.
Gen 8 it got a little worse because it lost megahorn as a level 0 move but since raid battles exist you can get megahorn from that (although it doesn't really matter as you can't get venipede until post game unless you are playing an hacked version of the game or a rom using gen 8 mechanics)
Bro how is ferro not S tier?
Phenomenal typing (only being weak to fire and fighting), has recovery in the form of leech seed protect and great defenses. Like in competitive I've seen ferrothorns live CCs off some pretty powerful mons.
Should be an easy S tier
I'd argue its better than mamo and almost all the guys below. Not sure why drill, scizor and bro are "worse" than mamo.
If its gen 2 scizor i don't think its fair as he'd be like B tier but if you get roost on scizor it instantly goes from B -> S
if its gen 1 bro, i can see it being lower than mamo but current bro. level up bro gets slack off
Honestly Bro and Scizor should be high S
WTF Genies is unsure...
The main one id disagree with is mamaphy, you're never gonna get it in a non randomizer or rom hack but tail glow is great even in gen 4 where its +2
How do you put Beedrill and Butterfree above the unova bugs? All of them are way better than the Kanto bugs. Their stats, movepools and Abilities are serperior.

@@TunaBear64 pun intended
He ranks them based on the gen/region they're in. The Kanto bugs are pretty good inside of Kanto. Even outside of Kanto, Butterfree is okay. It gets Compound Eyes + Sleep Powder, which makes it almost 100% accurate. And it evolves very early.
Beedrill is weaker. But it can beat Misty, takes basically no damage from Erika, and can sweep Sabrina if you can set up an Agility. Solo'ing 3 gym leaders is pretty good for an early game bug that evolves at level 10.

That's the kind of luck with a galvantula encounter I can only dream of lol

Liligant is based especially with status moves and Quiver dance solid A or S tier
I want you to do a video on using all the Pokémon you haven’t used/barely use
As sb playing a BW nuzlocke so far, my experience:
-Intimidate stacking is super good, as always.
-STAB Retalitae on Lenora after defeating the Herdier always or almost always OHKO, try to kill the Herdier with Watchog then use Detect or switch to a Sturdy Rogenrolla
-Liepard cant get paralyzed and Pursuit hits through VoltSwitch before the switch so its an option there.
-the monkeys are useful for their early evols, Simipour gets Scald and Simisage gets Leech Seed.
-Unfezant has like no great moves
-Swoobat has 50% chance to get a useless ability, but is fast and can get Charge Beam for the 5th gym.
Return and Fly for Unfezant?
And even those are probably taking Iron Barbs + Rocky Helmet damage unless your name is Chandelure.
braviary in white 2 is a monster, its an interact encounter that always comes with defiant. just have it in for an intimidate and sweep. has great movepool for a normal/flying type and ridic attack
ferrothorn does not learn leech seed naturally, it needs breeding to get it so you will probably never get it in a run
You forgot you can give it encore and swords dance aswell which just make it that much better.
I've just finished gym 5 on white 2 and i think going in with a dewott(level cap is 33) against clay's excadrill is very risky lol. Both can take out each other with a crit but his excadrill is much faster
I like how he sets volcorona next to boldore in A tier, seems about right
Im still waiting for Gen 6 btw
He doesn't know gen6
Almost nobody nuzlockes 3ds games. they're just too fucking slow paced and the level curves are hot garbage.
@@glumreaper8885 eh, the usum games are a great challenge, altho i agree when it comes to ORAS, X and Y, and maybe even sun and moon
@@theduelist92 yeah the gen 7 sequels are really fun games to play, i think they don’t get enough credit
I am offended that he said that Zebstrika is HORRINGLY UGLY
Zebstrika is one of my fav Pokémon- I don’t know how he thinks it’s ugly
It leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I feel like it's cool until the tail and then it looks kinda goofy. I'm a much bigger fan of Ponyta and Rapidash, they do a good job making the fire both look like it's actively burning and like it's its tail and mane and stuff. the zigzaggy lines on Zebstrika are just kinda lame in comparison
Yeah, I don't get what's so ugly about it. It's literally just a zebra like the fuck?
Scolipede is actually really good, just EV train it in Defense with Speed Boost along with Toxic and Venoshock and it will sweep through teams
11:20 Beheeyem is so forgotten it's not even worth to correct Jan for calling it Elgyem...
It makes my heart sing that Sigilyph (my favorite pokemon) was deemed "surprisingly good, lots of potential with utility moves" by the #1 nuzlocker in the world!
I've been trying to convince people that Sigilyph is good, but no one ever listens to me 😅
Did anyone know the source of this video?
The date of it was streaming? Or the title of the stream? Were I can find this Vod ?
I watch these as I fall asleep and they really help. Thank you!
Cause they want the first time you see one to be against you.
liligant is my favorite grass type i think it can be in mid a tier with petal dance sleep powder and quiver dance which is so op
4:58 that’s not the gen 5 Learnset. You can definitely get Megahorn for the Elite 4. I should know, it was Scolipede outspeeding Hydreigon with Megahorn that allowed me to win!
Audino is one of the cutest Pokémon I think. And it is actually pretty good depending on what you consider good
ive used Escavalier fairly recently and its pretty great. amazing bulk, even more amazing attack, incredible typing, shit speed but it only has one weakness. battle armor blocks those crits too. swords dance is an option but i had a lot of success running one with iron defense/rest/x-scissor/iron head in challenge mode b2w2. I'd rank it pretty highly.
It's really good with an assault vest too. If only it got U-Turn
R u gonna do any more of these? I have the gen 6 and 7 games and would like to see some rankings for them plz
I'm 3 years late but I might as well comment anyway for those who are watching this in the future:
Cinccino is genuinely really good, specifically in Black2/White2.
Getting storm drain as a ground type is such a bless
gen 5 too based
Btw sigilyph most underrated Pokemon all time
Yup I lost 3 pokemon to sigilyph and now I fear it
Okay so about krookodile
Sandile, and even krokorok are admittedly not very good, and right, with intimidate it's like an okay-ish mon that hits decently hard with a good typing and a good learnset, although it takes a while to learn earthquake (you get access to dig as early as you can get a sandile though).
Krookodile single-handedly makes the Drayden fight, as well as 3 of the 4 elite 4, and THE N FIGHT trivial (carracosta's here with sturdy but eh, if you
92 speed is good enough that the AI won't outspeed you in 99% of cases.
Yo discovered you recently and have been addicted to the content keep it up 👍
Is there somewhere I can see the full tier list? (like on the website, not on a video)
Liligant is surprisingly good, I am doing a run with it, and it has a really good moveset. (In BW 1 at least) you get Mega Drain at 26 and sleep powder on catch, evolve for Elesa, decent pivot since resist electric and bait fire/flying move, then Quiver Dance at 28 (I think) and as you mentioned you will eventually get own tempo+petal dance
quiver dance boosted petal dance demolishes everything, even mons that resist grass
What did he say bout zebstrika??
So I dont get seismitoad's ranking here since the way i see it its just an objectively better quagisre because its hp is 10 points higher its attack is 10 points higher it has an actual speed stat and 20 more special attack making most water moves way better. Can someone explain how quagsire is better dont get me wrong I love quagsire but he doesn't exactly have the greatest stats, so is there something im just not getting?
It might be water absorb
Honestly man you should eventually try to use an accelgor in a run it's a fast bug type sweeper with a 495 base stat total a pretty dang nice setup sweeper learnset and can also be used as just a quick switch spiker if it has a bad nature.
I think you disregarded Musharna's great HP and defenses that make up for that low speed
Musharna's level up moveset is really bad though
Completely walled by dark type/ psychic type resistances
Hey i got a question, started my first hardcore and first ever nuzlocke ever in emerald, lost first attempt to may fight and second to drake's mence sweeping me.
What level cap do you recommend for the H nuzlocke hoeen e4??? I had 49 and speed was the issue that dropped me on drake
I usually would fit he champions highest level but probably wouldn’t go all the way just to keep the challenge and account for the levels I’d gain through the elite 4
the way he does level caps is the highest level of every gym leader and the highest level of the last member of the Elite 4 (so not the champion).
This makes me want to play gen 5 again and all the gens actually
Beartic destroys in Pokemon white with NeverMeltIce and Icicle Crash.
Edit: And Throh with revenge is really good.
I really wish so many gen 5 Pokémon didn't evolve so late it means you end up barely being able to use them.
Excadrill probably borders on banned tier tbh, strong typing, strong attack, excellent moves and swords dance setup, and both of its sandstorm abilities are pretty broken.
You kinda need the team to be able to abuse Sand Rush and Sand Force though. But yeah, it's still very strong.
It's got rock slide and eq pretty early too...that's fuckin insane
A man that doesn't judge a pokémon by it's cover
Sawk is an absolute monster for the point of the game where you can get him. Pretty much sweeps Lenora's gym singlehandedly.
Why is this only 20 minutes and I cannot see what he has on the top? Is there a link to his completed list? Would have liked to hear him talk about all the top ones
There is 0 way stoutland is under minun, Stab return, decent attack great bulk, decent speed, intimidate. Put some respect on my man’s name
The best gen
Except for the Anime
My favourite was gen 4, but also 5 is pretty damn good
Everyone slept on this gen until everyone started liking it for some reason. I always loved it though.
Heck ye
Second gym in bw before first in bw2 i think
Can someone explain why excadrill is so good? Stab earthquake coming off an amazing attack is obviously great, but it’s slower for an offensive mon, has mediocre defenses and several common weaknesses. Sure sand rush + SS is obviously broken, but it’s not like you can easily put together a sand team in Gen 5, am I missing something?
Pidgeot's in blaze black 2 is monstrous. Gave it roost superpower, return and brave bird and it has speed boost ability, it also has a really good hp and attack, making it very strong and bulky other than being fast
I think Krookodile with moxie was S tier lol or I'm just biased since I love Krookodile lol
It’s pretty insane with either ability, definatley high a tier to s tier
i don't get how you ban these pokemon , there is no option in my emu that say's ban picked pokemon only ban legendary from spawning in the game ? but they are still static?
He's talking about nuzlockes. You can make personal bans. You wanna ban a pokemon? Simply don't use it.
I'm sorry but Gravaler is not better than Volcorna. Volcorna is an easy S tier but I do like the tier list for the most part.
Graveler is much better than a volcarona. It is easy to find and easy to evolve. Rona evolves too late
Ryan Van Ooteghem You got to understand Gravaler is better in the mid game but Volcorona is a killer in the beginning of the game and the late game
@@staraptorflock3661 it’s evolve level is so late it’s just dead weight to bring on a team for much of a play through.
Cannot believe he called zebstrika ugly... that pokemon is beautiful
Seismitoad in gen 5 is trash which sucked because I wanted my first playthrough of black to be centered around it but I learned way too late that it's a physical attacker and it's only good physical stab move is earthquake which it doesn't learn and can only be found after the elite four
YOU KNOW BETTER THAN TO CALL THAT TRASH! SHOW SOME RESPECT!
Hum ? No. Seismitoad is a mixed attacker (85 in both offenses in gen 5) so you could have ran surf as your main stab (and also dig as a ground stab is not bad at all with 80 bp) and also Seismitoad is a tank and a good one at that, it has :
-105/75/75 a good bulk
-water/ground type a fantastic typing
-74 speed is actually pretty good since it alows Seismitoad to outspeed all the other tanks in the game
And finally a nuzlock meta isn’t the same as an in game meta so saying a pokemon is bad in a nuzlock because it’s not the best in game isn’t very accurate
Is there a reason there is no video for gen 6 or 7? he still had them left on the list and didnt do any kind of outro so i assume the stream kept going
He hasn’t nuzlocked those gens a lot so if I had to assume he tried to continue realized how shitty his rankings would have been and decided not to make a video on it
3:52 he da goat do and he da froggy
Need 6,7 and 8 ranked binged watched doing 1st run of nuzlocke sword and im pretty sure im getting crap
I agree with the Bascullin, i have *_NEVER_* used that fish, and honestly i dont think i wanna know how good/bad it is.
BASCULIN IS NOT SPELLED WITH 2 L'S!
Is there a link to your list once it’s done?
Crustle is like A tier for me. Comes in really handy since it learns x scissor and rock slide so early
Krokodil is so strong I solo'd the league with that guy earthquake crunch and moxie
You're one of the few people to give Alomomola the respect it deserves.
We need a Gen 6 Tier List, you are so good ranking them for power/efficiency and not for how they look like
Tell yall something in the game he mentioned blaze black I tried a full competitive team for the play through and boy does salamence dragon dance swept the game
Imagine thinking Jan actually reads YT comments XD
You are making good subs. Now collab with Smallant someday
PC should do a challenge run where he only uses Pokemon he has never used before lol Should be an interesting video
