- Hi today's vlog is my Travel Day In Nepal Sauraha To Bandipur 5 hrs Bus 5 Mile Hike Up Mountain🇳🇵🇳🇵. I set off with a lift from my new £4 a night accommodation to the bus park just outside Sauraha to travel to Bandipur a very small town in the mountains of Nepal.
After a nearly 5 hour bus ride i got to the nearest point to Bandipur which was at Dumere and then set off on a five mile walk up the mountain to the town, little did i know how hard it was going to be but my stubbornness overcome the altitude and i made it. Once there i realised how much it was worth it. Bandipur is amazing.
I really hope you enjoy my Travel Day In Nepal Sauraha To Bandipur 5 hrs Bus 5 Mile Hike Up Mountain🇳🇵🇳🇵vlog and can join me in the next one. Please Like, Subscribe and Share with anybody who you think may be interested in my content. Thank you

Thanks mate, it wasn’t easy but the scenery made it a lot easier and I loved it
Best video so far in this trip
Thanks Martin, it was good to finally be able to get out walking again without thinking about where the nearest loo is.
I really love Pokhara enjoy
Thanks Wayne, I’m looking forward to getting there mate.
Bedankt
Thank you very much Petra
Bandipur is awesome man .. Love from Kathmandu
It is amazing mate, so peaceful and beautiful. I love Nepal, thank you💯🇳🇵
Fair play. Great vlog. Go Steady.
That you very much Nicholas, it was so worth the hike up mate.
@@ParkinsonRaw But fair play. Some hike. Cold one at destination.Look forward to the adventure, happy days.
Them doughnut looking things are "suka roti" and very nice too. Dumree bazzar is the bus hub for changing, if you go to Gorkha city or Lamjuung district you go there.
Thats a right leg stretcher walking up to Bandipur but its worth the walk. That wooden structure is a ferris wheel made of logs for the kids during festival time. Glad you made it there.
Thank you Tony, I’ll be walking back down the hill and heading up to Pokhara from Dumree. Ahh that’s what the wheel was for, I would never of guessed that.
Great vid mate!
Thank you mate.
Absolutely beautiful amazing. I don't know how you managed to do that walk well done. Loved this vlog interesting from start to the end 😊
Thank you June, again it’s the Parkinson stubbornness🤣. The taxis were going by asking my head said yes but no always came out🤣. It was so worth it though, the most beautiful place I’ve been so far by a long way😊
@ParkinsonRaw ha ha I know I'm a stubborn bugger it's definitely a family thing. Amazing views don't message back I know your very busy 😊
A great effort and this is where you excel on your travel days, wingin it with your jovial persona and not afraid to try anything.Cheers
Thanks Paul, I really enjoyed being able to get on my toes again mate.

Thanks Andy, it wasn’t easy surprisingly but so much worth it with the sights and Bandipur is amazing.
Awesome scenery Richy.
Well deserved beer 🍺 mate 👍🇦🇺
Thank you Jack it is amazing here mate and I did really enjoy the beer at the top🍻💯🇦🇺👍🏻
Hats off to you Ritchy that was some trek up there.
What I have noticed in your Nepal vlogs is the how litter free every where seems to be, a big thumbs up to the Nepalese people on that one 👍.
Regards Kell
Thanks Kell it was a lovely walk mate although strenuous it was worth it. Nepal is very clean it’s great to see after leaving Pakistan👌🏻👍🏻
Nice one Richie 🙏
Thank you Wendy🙏🏻💯
Love form nepal sir❤❤
Thank you Chhiring❤️💯
Wow, Richy! This is exploring, mate. Amazing scenery & locations. That walk up the mountainside at the end was incredible, sir! Don't forget to pop the Viagra when you go high, mate! Real travel!
Thanks Glenn it was a lovely walk and so worth it when I got to Bandipur. Lol I’ve never heard of the viagra trick, that could get uncomfortable ha.
Beautiful blog mate. Lovely 👍🏻👍🏻 keep
Safe bud
Thanks Jonny, it wasn’t as easy as I thought with the altitude but your like me we love our fitness and what a view all the way👍🏻❤️🇳🇵
@@ParkinsonRaw looked beautiful. And yes the humidity altitude will keep ya fit. Well deserved beer. 🍺 😂👍🏻👍🏻
Good content Richy enjoy your retirement travelling 👍 🍻
Thank you mate, I’m loving it🍻💯👌🏻
Looks really beautiful. Never lnew Nepal was like that!
Exellent video Ricky that’s some walk you did, no wonder you’re on the slim side 😅your room looked really nice, very basic but looked spotlessly clean, journey on mate.
Thanks Steve, the bonus I have walking everywhere means I can eat what I want and still be able to hide behind a lamppost 🤣 The room was so cheap wasn’t it I was shocked.
Genuinely amazed at how clean Nepal is compared to Pakistan. Enjoy the green spaces and stay safe Richy
When you reach the top --there's only one way to go Richy! *See you in Thailand. Still pouring down here!
I can’t wait for the walk down mate, I’m surprised it’s still so bad in Thailand it must be record levels by now.
@@ParkinsonRaw A lot of people affected by the flooding damage! Sad as they never seem to retain enough to avoid droughts!
Usually there's a walking trail "shortcut" in the hills to bypass the long and windy hairpin motor-roads.
Significantly decreases the time and effort.
I seen a few cut off mate but I didn’t want to risk it and be backtracking.
@@ParkinsonRaw Better Safe than sorry. Touche.
Take care Richy I worry if you would faint or pass out and fell down into one of those ravines they would never find you..
Thanks mate, I’m never that bad to be honest. If I did I would jump in the first taxi, I know how far I can push myself. You’re right though nobody would know you’ve took a fall.
After your trek, it looks like you'll need a day to acclimatize 😀
Definitely mate, that hit me like a brick. Up hill all the way never helped mind🤣
Nice one Richy , what a beautiful country and lovely people, we are in a Indian Summer 24 c in Glasgow today so I’ve got a face like a ripe tomato 🤣, stay safe bud cheers Jimbo Glasgow ❤
Thank you Jimbo, sunny Glasgow in the middle of September would you believe it🤣❤️
When in Pokhara, i`m guessing you go to lakeside and if you do, the north side is where you wanna be, less traffic and noice frokm everything, its just a very chill area. imo anywya :) thx for video and enjoy Pokhara
Thanks for the advice mate, unfortunately I’m already booked in on the south side. I’m really looking forward to getting there although I’m loving Bandipur at the minute.
@@ParkinsonRaw well you only sleep there.. you will love lakeside, if no treeking you can sleep one night at Sarangkot and wake up early for the best view.. I am so jealous right now 😛
One thing I have noticed about traveling by bus and following along by maps as sometimes the bus doesn’t always take the most direct route. Sometimes they will take a back road to pick up customers or to avoid a toll road.
Ha it’s not too bad here with only being a few roads but Cambodia and Vietnam it was crazy. One step forward and two steps back.
@@ParkinsonRaw yes I noticed it in Vietnam going from can tho to Saigon and I hate those lie down coffin buses.
Richy Parkinson The Mountain Man that you are Richy you are no Edmund Hillary Don't pop a vein in that big hard head of yours Richy May the road continue to rise up and meet you Mate Carry On with the Best Budget Travel Vlogger Walking Richy Parkinson will walk 500 miles and Richy Parkinson will walk 500 miles Oh no I'm going to have that song in me head all day now Cheers Mate
Class Randal, I’m a proclaimer always. Thanks mate
Good that you don’t smoke mate.
I would make things much harder mate, I used to be a smoker and have the occasional one when I have a few drinks but that’s not often.
One word of advice whenever you do bus or train travel pack at least one roll of tp into your bag.
I’m on to that thanks mate I always have back up.
You're off the head pal, knocking hell out yourself with the thin air. You'll sleep well tonight.
Thanks Matthew I did sleep very well mate. I love walking and the scenery made it so much nicer although I was feeling it with the altitude.
Next time don't put that rectangular flag in thumbnail . The flag of Nepal is a non rectangular flag consisting of two triangular shapes.
The flag is shaped to be rectangular so it shows up clearly on screen mate. Everybody knows what flag it clearly is and I can’t change it in a thumbnail it has to be rectangular.
Thanks!
Thank you very much Andrew, it’s amazing here in Bandipur.
Yes four pounds a night. Was cheap.
I cannot remember a cheaper room that I paid, certainly not with your own shower WC.
I had one in
Trat for £ 3.5, but no ensuite.
However years ago in kaosan Road it was £2.5 for a cubical, as shown on the Island Thai film.
It was extremely cheap Peter, I’ve seen the old cubical rooms. They’re good for backpackers on a very tight squeeze.
Mike Tyson didn’t sweat that much richly
Ha it was bad Alan, the altitude kicked right in and I’ve had a lot of lazy days here which never helped my stamina. I never fail to hit my target though mate I’m too stubborn.
Are you still in Nepal??
Yes mate, sorry but do you watch the vlogs?. You keep asking this when it’s clear in the titles and in the vlogs I’m saying the next places I’m going. I am only two days ahead to allow for health issues and I’ll be here for another 10-14 days.
@@ParkinsonRaw Actually I'm asking you this question because most of the vloggers they upload video after a months, or years of travelling. If you'll be here for 10-14 days then you should wait for festival here in Nepal, one of the big festival is coming you can see different culture side also. I hope you'll enjoy that too.
@@preety8651 thank you, no I always stay only two days ahead so I can get great recommendations like yours👍🏻
@@ParkinsonRaw Ya it's better this way. Keep uploading I like to recommend you more.
@preety8651 thank you🇳🇵👍🏻
