Dude, I've had my Razer Nari Ultimate for like 5 years, and they just suddenly disconnected a month ago. I had to use the 3.5 jack since then. Thankfully, I found your video, and I can't believe it actually worked! Side note, 210°C worked fine for me too. Huge thanks, man!
This actually worked! I've been having this problem with my Razer Basilisk Ultimate for a couple of months now, and I couldn’t figure out why it was happening. Sometimes it would work fine, and other times it kept disconnecting and reconnecting. Over the past few months, it completely stopped working, so I had to use my mouse with the cable, which made the extra I paid for a wireless mouse feel like a waste. I followed the video, but since I don’t have a heater, I put the dongle in the oven at 130°C for 10 minutes. Then, I put it back together, and it worked perfectly! Amazing-thank you!
Worked for me, 350 in the oven for 10 minutes like someone else commented. If I wasn't getting the avnera av6301 error, the dongle would just rapidly connect and disconnect, this solution fixed my issues.
it worked in a conventional oven with a broiler. I switched High Broiling on, wait until it got hot, I put the DA V2 Pro (disassembled) standing position close to the top, wait like 30 secs, get it out, I saw that it melted lightly soldering. Get it back to the pc and with the dongle extender part I put a paper into the USB port so it pushes the dongle to the port, and tadaa, I heard the connecting sound but surprise surprise not the disconnecting... I even updated the firmware on it... You are a genius sir. Thanks a lot. It definitely worth to try before drop all the razer stuff to the bin. And yeah good advice on never again Razer. (for which I am sad as I liked the ergonomic of DeathAdder, but it was like two years I am using it wired... :D )
After many years of use, and like, a several month hiatus from using them, my Nari Ultimate dongle just wouldn't respond to my USB port. If I plugged it in the computer acted like nothing was inserted. I was searching for new drivers and all other means of software intervention but then I searched reddit to find this video. I was like, 'what? no way'... and so, I put my dongle in a vice to blade it apart safely with a carpet knife and took out the circuit board. I didn't have a reflow either, so I just used a heat gun that had temperature control. After a few seconds on each side, I slapped it together and put it in my machine and I heard the familiar tone that a device was inserted. And just like that I was back to throwing profanities at onery teens and talking about their moms in Fortnite through discord. good as new! Thanks, Bostig video! you saved me from Ecycling a nice headset
Bro this actually worked. Oven at 150 °C for 10min. I am so thankful holy shit I didnt want to spend another 200 for a new headset or 30 for an ali express razer dongle. I had to cut the plastic cover open with a kitchen knife but still worked. Blessed. Thank you.
oh thank you so much i was thinking of throwing away the razer deathadder v2 pro....and i happened to come across your video and did the same on my dongle and it worked. thanks again and means this probably helps everyone with this wifi dongle disconnection problem. just slowly and carefully cut the house without rushing...
I fucking used a freaking black&decker heat gun, put it in the middle marker for heat, minimum air force for 2 minutes both sides of the board. Now it freaking works again. Thank you very much for your video.
Dude, thank you so much, my nari stopped working right before going out of warranty (didn't contact Razer support because I thought it was something wrong with my Pc, since it would connect to my Mac just fine, then it died.) tried doing this with a hair blower and it worked perfectly, although Razer being Razer their software fucked up my mic somehow so had to do a fresh windows install, but now it all works well, thanks!
ive been using mine wired for the past 2 years and randomly searched up how to fix it again. did it at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 mins and it worked. thanks a lot thought it was hopeless for this headset (and yes dont buy razer again lmao)
Can’t believe it worked.. broke the plastic housing off put it in the toaster oven for 10min at 270° . After cobbling it back together as a usb again it showed up when plugged in and after pairing with the utility software I was back in business.
Thank you very much. I solved the problem thanks to you. I heated it with a hair dryer without removing it, the plastic warped a little, but it works now :D
uhg what? i read a reddit post about the fuse part at the corner spot. i just used a tweser and pinced it close and it fixed it. but the distance I can go from dongle is like less than half from before.
Yeah unfortunately didn't work for me. And since it's a few months out of warranty, becomes waste of money. I'm not spending 60+ on ebay for a replacement. :( Thanks for the advice!
Hey guys, I need your help, I think I have destroyed the r6 resistor and the question arises what kind of resistor is it and can the dogel work without the resistor
Any one tried on other razer dongles? My Barracuda x is not working, I was able to take apart the dongle and saw the video... I'll give it a try tomorrow
@@arond1t304 Thanks bro I just did it like 2 min hair dryer and 10 min oven 150 F plug and play I really love this headset but I already order this one SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless
I wish I had watched this video before attempting it myself. Although I did pretty much the same things, watching this first would've made it a lot easier. Anyway it didn't work, but like you said it was already fucked so doesnt really matter. I've owned over 50 (yes FIFTY!) razer products throughout the years and the support used to be good but since a couple years ago they are not very interested in helping, they just want you to buy new shit. The fact that this issue is so well known yet never fixed leads me to believe this is just planned obsolescence. Unless they manufactured all their nari ultimates at the same time, because I had 4 throughout the years and they all had issues. I'll buy a logitech headset next.
So I had the same issue, I don't have the tools shown in the video, but alas I came to a fix. I took my wife's hair straightener and put it on the metal part of the USB port for about 45 seconds got it nice and hot, then plugged it in and all the sudden instead of device recognized as AV#%@# whatever...it now recognized it as razer nari and connecting to bluetooth again. Hope it helps someone.
Glad it worked for you! Good job fixing it yourself! Cold joints on boards is pretty common. When I lived in Tokyo back in the 90s I got a brand new widescreen CRT TV that was thrown away bc of cold joints on the main board. I couldn't cook the whole thing, but used zip ties to bend the board enough to restore good contact. Never figured out which joint or component, and like this, doesn't matter. As long as it works!
I put the disassembled USB in the oven at 125 degrees for about 10 minutes and it works. I have 3 broken USB dongle from these headphones. I really like these headphones for comfort, sound and vibration. the battery sucks a bit compared to new models that last longer. finally don't have to look for another dongle from Aliexpress Thank you
@@silasmuller8051 has to be celsius as 125 F is only 51 C and that is not enough to melt the solder. i will try this RIGHT now in my kitchen oven ima report back if it works

Just wanted to chime in and leave a big thank you! This stuff is pretty expensive here in Uruguay, and you saved me a lot of cash. Goated.

Actually can't believe putting the board in the oven was the answer! Mine works perfectly now
You legend 🙏, used a hair dryer, working perfect straight away
Sweet! Nice job!
How long do you use the dryer on each side?
Yes please how long did you use per side?
Just tried this with my Deathadder V2 pro dongle in my oven. It fucking worked dude, been using the mouse wired for a year! thanks man!

Pathetic design flaw on Razer's part, but that's nothing new.

Will this work for a razer viper ultimate mouse dongle? It connects and pairs using the paring utility. But never works wirelessly

Great. So why in main cases the dongles stopped working after razer synapse update? XD
good question, maybe someone else can chime in as to why that might be
Tkank you friend, I have to try with mine. Greetings from Poland
So apparently, to fix this you need to update your BIOS, from what I've heard in a Razer forum
didn't work for me, unfortunately. tried 130°C, 150°C and 210°C. headphones blink with blue light. any suggestions?
Thanks bro! it worked
Do you need to open it and bake the hardware or can i do it with the whole razer itself? can anyone help me
What component is the blue box on the chip?
Ok this actually work but now its giving me the ANERVA AN6301 error
