Fake shit. I'm no hater, I'm an actual rtr 200 owner. I don't want people to be fooled. Watch the videos of the_sportztourer. The rtr 200 gives a maximum mileage of 38kmpl in city and somewhat 45 in the highway, if you're too damn lucky and riding the bike at 3 am. It is only as efficient as any other 200 cc bike. The true trump card of the rtr 200 is it's handling courtesy of it's superb suspension setup. It'll carve corners like hell. This channel didn't say anything about it, only saying it's flickable. BTW don't buy the carb variant, it has an inherent flaw causing horrible cold starts in the morning. No one tells all this. Buy the Fi. People have tried and succeeded retrofitting abs but retrofitting Fi is a rather costly affair.

motusid I agree. But I have used Apache 200 4V and despite of riding mildly in the city I've never crossed 35kmpl mark. And I've also ridden Gixxer in city, and it also doesn't cross 45kmpl mark despite riding smoothly. And stating mileage for 200 so high is very unrealistic. Even if they may have made changes in the new model, how'd it still surpass economy numbers of a 150/160cc? That is unreal.

Shantanu Tuljapure you are absolutely correct . In normal city condition , 200 cc will give 35 - 40 km/ l of mileage . 40 at max if less traffic and ridden sensibly. The figure shown here are that of a 160 - 150 cc machine
if you are mostly city rider, isn't FI a better option. FI is more smooth to drive and gives better pickup. Abs is more useful for Higher speeds as I understand. Usually Disc brakes should do the job in City. What you guys say?

Bought RTR 200 2.0 4v bike on 12-09-2018 which is my first bike. Till date 05-12-2018 I have visited the service center for atleast 6 times because of cold starting issue. There was other issue like sound near the engine which was "other then engine sound" for which they lubricated the sprocket and gave but the issue recurred, The handle bar doesn't turn to left freely for which they told" Caliper is mounted on to right because of unbalance it wont turn to left freely" I stay in Bangalore and it hardly drops to 18°C but the bike won't start in the morning for which they told " Use choke to start the bike in the morning and all the RTR 200 vehicle has to be started with the choke ON to start the vehicle in the morning" Even with TVS company intervene with my problem they have given the bike with problem unsolved....

One thing i can say , this rtr 200 is perfectly suitable for the persons who go with decent high speed , not like a crazy idiotic riders who think they are racing in a moto and start racing in the normal roads , and bring and increase risk factor to others , a person who wants to go from 50 - 100 speed at any place can go for this it has ABS , it has slipper clutch amd it has fuel injection what more u need in 1.2 lakh go for it , dont rethinh
The color option is limited to black&white for abs varient. Fuel Injection is available only in white color. Carb standard version is available in all the 5 color.
I bought this bike 3 months before. When I downshift the gear when I'm in around 60+ speed it'll make big sound in gear and while shifting also I'm facing this sound. Could you please let me know is this bike make a sound like this while shifting gear ?
