    Tx is whats transferring out of the ecu. Pin 2 on board.
    You need the other side to catch the signal on recieve.
    The software is requesting these packets, to send them to the computer it needs to send the signal to RX for received.
    Dont think of them as flows, just signal names.

      No, this is a datalogger. It's exactly what the name is, it only logs data. In other words, it only reads data and doesn't write it. For you to write data, you need an emulator. The readings you obtain from the datalogger is used to make adjustments to your map. You then write the map in real time using an emulator or not in real time by burning a chip and swapping out the old chip with the new.

      If you want RTP, then you'll need to run an emulator. The datalogger can be either bluetooth or cable. So you'll essentially have 2 connections. One from emulator and 1 from datalogger. If you're just doing it without a emulator, then just a datalogger to connect to computer and you'll need to remove your chip each time you make a change, burn the new rom, and then put the chip back. I'd suggest doing some reading on honda tuning to get the basics down.

The datalog only works on HTS with a HTS rom. Here's another example, people use tunerview and the hc05 to have a digital datalog on their phone for their car, tunerview requires you to select the protocol for your map. So if you're using HTS, you'd buy the HTS protocol and if you're using crome, you'd buy that, hondata, you'd buy that etc. HTS software can only datalog a HTS rom. In other words, you can't have a crome rom and try to use HTS to datalog it. You'll need to burn HTS rom then you can datalog.

      Why are you datalogging with a narrowband? You need to get readings with a wideband. A narrowband has a very limited range. I can't tell you if it's normal because your car needs to be tuned to stoichiometric AFR with a wideband first.

      Depends on how you want to do it. Some drive with wideband even after tuning and some take it off after tuning. It is recommended to keep the wideband even after tuning if you're a built motor. It's a peace of mind when you've invested thousands into a motor. But wideband sensors tend to die pretty quickly. Really up to you. I honestly have no idea what you're doing. I'd say hook up your wideband and if you're wideband readings are what you expect, then you're fine. Narrowband only can read between 14-15 AFR. So you can imagine how inaccurate it is when you're car isn't always stoich.

      @@hectorjauregui5944 I'm not going to say it's not possible to tune the obd2 computers because some have done it back in the day. But it'll be near impossible to find any info on that as it was not a common thing to do back then and something no one does now.
      Tuning your car in general will not be something cheap. The cheapest and easiest way to tune an obd2 car was to convert it to obd1. If you can find a cheap obd1 ecu, chip it, run a obd2 to obd1 jumper harness, and find yourself maybe a moates ostrich, that would typically be the cheapest way to do it. That being said, obd1 ecu's have gone up in price significantly and it's very old technology. It'll probably run you around 500-1000 for a ecu, with emulator, and jumper harness, etc. But still cheaper than the Haltech. You can essentially get a Fueltech as well. Those are reasonably priced, but still about 1000 for that.

    How about for hc06

    • @BudgetGears
      @BudgetGears  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can do the exactly same process with hc06. Just you'll select hc06 in HTS.

    Is it possible to upload data from the laptop to the ecu? using Bluetooth connection? or it is for realtime logging only?

    • @BudgetGears
      @BudgetGears  ปีที่แล้ว

      Datalogging is datalogging. It only reads data. For uploading data, which is the tune, you'll be doing that through your emulator (also know as RTP (real-time programming). They're 2 separate processes. I don't know of any emulators that are wireless. All the emulators I came across usually requires a cable connection from ECU to laptop.

      @@BudgetGears Thank you for the information. I was just wondering weather we can also convert the signal from the cable to wireless for easier programming

      @@reykristophercantaco1418 I don't know. You didn't provide much detail except it can't read. So it could be many reasons. Bad HC05, input output wiring reversed, bad ecu, J12 resistor not removed, software not setup correctly, using software that's not HTS, programming not done correctly, comm port not correct, etc etc etc. The list goes on. If the steps were followed exactly, then it should work. If it doesn't, then something else is wrong.
