A great song by the Yardbirds, a great band that was a head of it's time. A few of the greatest guitarists were in the Yard Birds, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page. The Yard Birds were great musicians, truly a great band that doesn't get the recognition they deserve.
Their 1965 album "Having a Rave Up" is a classic with "Smokestack Lightning", "I'm a Man", "Heart Full of Soul", "You're a Better Man Than I", "The Train Kept A-Rollin'", "Shapes of Things", and "Over Under Sideways Down"
@nickremus4553 I could be wrong but I think those are most popular hits. The Yardbirds may not be as popular as The Beatles and Th Rolling Stones, but they are very talented.
Unforgettable moments... wonderful times, the sixties and seventies... quality music... times when everything was much more relaxed. Big contrast to today's society. The Yardbirds... pure youth sentiment...! R.I.P. Jeff Beck...!
Talented guy....and seems always to have been focused. Page just went nuts into witchcraft and Clapton did not really find his humanity until after his son's tragic accident... But Beck always seemed more together. Its a gift, too, perhaps.

Jeff Beck. - For Your ❤ Love This was a personal favourite of mine back in the 1960’s. Also, another favourite of mine was : Hi, Ho, Silver Lining. It was a tradition at Clubs to play this song to ‘Warm the Audience Up’ and boy did it !!! (I know all the words …. ) After listening to all my favourites from Jeff and the boys, it’s with a sad heart ❤and a tear 😢in my eye that I pay a massive tribute to his talent at playing his guitar 🎸 with mastery. It was a pleasure listening to your music/songs. We’ll never forget a genius such as you. ….. Aggh

I confess that I only know of the existence of this bewitching oldies classic For Your Love by the Yardbirds because of remembering hearing this multiple/several years ago by the time I was a teenager (my late adoptive father enjoyed hearing similar music genres on the radio similar to this song), I'm so glad that this phenomenal live version classic is also available to listen to online.
Always enjoy hearing the Yardbirds. Keith Relf unfortunately left us too soon. RIP Keith and thanks for forming the Yardbirds. Sweet memories of the 60s music makes wonderful company anytime!
I love this one and heart full of soul because of the way Jeff Beck incorporated his Spanish guitar styles. Really made the Yardbirds stand out to me compared to other bands at the time - and even today.
One of those catchy songs of the sixties that are still good to hear fifty years later. This song was so popular then I used to hear in on the radios almost everywhere I went in those days. Good to hear.
This great classic song brings back many fond memories of my youth. My generation grew up with the best Rock and Roll music that was ever played. 😃Rest in peace Jeff Beck and Keith Relf. 😢

One of my all-time favorite songs! I was 16 when I first heard this on the radio in 1965. While parents covered their ears, we kids went nuts and couldn't sit still and could never get enough of this group!! I think I wore out both the needle and the record having listened to this so many times!!! It still kicks ass today!!

On this day in 1965 {April 16th} the Yardbirds performed "For Your Love" on the British ITV network television program, 'Ready Steady Go!'.... At the time the song was in it's second of two weeks at #3 on the United Kingdom's Top 50 Singles chart, that was also it's peak position on the chart and it spent twelve weeks on the Top 50... It reached #6 on Billboard's Top 100 chart... Between 1964 and 1967 the London-based quintet had seven records on the UK Singles chart, five made the Top 10 with their biggest hit being "Heart Full of Soul", it peaked at #2 {for 3 weeks} in 1965, the first week it was at #2, the #1 record was "I'm Alive" by the Hollies, and for the second and third week the Byrds' "Mr. Tambourine Man" was in the top spot... Besides the above two, the group's three other Top 10 records were "Evil Hearted You" {#3 for 1 week in 1965}, "Shapes of Things" {#3 for 2 weeks in 1966}, and "Over Under Sideways Down" {#10 for 2 weeks in 1966}... Lead vocalist and harmonica player Keith Relf passed away at the young age of 33 on May 14th, 1976 {accidental electrocution}... May he R.I.P.
Over the years I had the pleasure of seeing the Yardbirds with Eric, Jeff and Jimmy on lead guitar at one time or another. I never recovered. What a seminal band.

If you hear this song you may be amazed that he also discovered Chris de Burgh !
RIP Jeff Beck, guitar legend.
RIP Jeff Beck, a true legend. He made a mark on this world that will never be forgotten.
Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
Unforgettable moments... wonderful times, the sixties and seventies... quality music... times when everything was much more relaxed. Big contrast to today's society. The Yardbirds... pure youth sentiment...! R.I.P. Jeff Beck...!
A beautiful song actually played live. So many amazing artists came out of the Yardbirds. So cool to see a young Jeff Beck on acoustic guitar!
Talented guy....and seems always to have been focused. Page just went nuts into witchcraft and Clapton did not really find his humanity until after his son's tragic accident... But Beck always seemed more together. Its a gift, too, perhaps.
Yea..but take a look at those snarly faces..priceless!!

I was 5 when this and Heart full of Soul came out. I didnt know who The Yardbirds or Hendrix were, just the Beatles-I had their lunchbox I took to school. My first big song I remember in 65 was Puff the magic Dragon. I may have missed the Yardbirds but am grateful I can see them on videos. Thank you TH-cam
R.I.P. Jeff Beck, whammy bar & riff master. Thanks for making the music of our youth ❤
You had to be alive when For Your Love and Heart Full of Soul climbed the charts. I'm looking hard at 70, and even now when I hear this song I re-experienced the emotions I felt as a kid.
Me too,Wow im 76 today ,,,Thats of no matter ,,the fact being this classic still gives me cold chills every time i hear it ,,,, i too feel so young at heart ,,,long live the 60s era
"...when all we had to worry about was total nuclear annihilation." - Homer Simpson
Recently, the lyrics "Come tomorrow we'll all be older" was stuck in my brain and I had to hear the song and recall the the band that did it. Of course it was the Yardbirds. They were fantastic. Still love their music after all these years and I'm 77.
I'm still alive at 73
Hope ur still with us
Lead singer for the Yardbirds, dark shades, playing the bongos - the man is the epitome of cool!
It's also really hard to do.
The man had a name--he was the great Keith Relf who died in a tragic accident by electrocution while playing his guitar in his basement home studio. He was only 33.
@@vastwasteland77 very sad
Yeah way to cool looking
Thats Jim McCarthy,great front man.
One of the reasons I picked up a guitar as a 12 year old kid and taught myself how to play!
Legends never die.
This brings back so many great memories. Thanks for sharing 😊 Here’s 2👍👍.
RIP Jeff. . RIP Keith. I’m glad Jim is still touring with worthy group of lads.
I love these guys. I was only 10 in 65, but I loved all this music, all these bands I grew up with. It was great to live in this particular era of music. ROCK ON
Me too! How lucky were we? Damn!!!!!
Rock on.
This beautiful song takes me to college days. Wonderfull days!
Love the sound of the women being tortured in the background... nice touch.
This was before the woman's movement. ;0)
Both of you guys are just cracking me up right now. I have to say that I would love to be standing next to a chickie in the grip of total Beatlemania right now, and not laugh my ass off in her screeching face.
Never made sense to me when you got to see a band because you like their music, and then you scream the entire time.....
them screamists were probably paid shills.
😂😂😂
Jeff Beck. - For Your ❤ Love
This was a personal favourite of mine back in the 1960’s.
Also, another favourite of mine was : Hi, Ho, Silver Lining. It was a tradition at Clubs to play this song to ‘Warm the Audience Up’ and boy did it !!! (I know all the words …. )
After listening to all my favourites from Jeff and the boys, it’s with a sad heart ❤and a tear 😢in my eye that I pay a massive tribute to his talent at playing his guitar 🎸 with mastery.
It was a pleasure listening to your music/songs.
We’ll never forget a genius such as you. ….. Aggh
Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
Revisiting this, after commenting 8 years ago. This still gives me goosebumps!! One of my favourite songs as a kid in the '60s. 10 million views of this video. Quality never dies.
The funny part is, this is the song that caused Clapton to quit the band.
@@a2ndopynyn
I didn’t know that! But he’s always been more of a Blues man.
@Jimmy Page Hey, it's me!
I enjoyed the fact that the band played the song live and didn't lip synch to the single
Jeff Beck died from meningitis never take life for granted that's for sure rest in peace our dear friend thank you for all the great Tunes Jeff my condolences to the Beck family
Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
So horrid what happened. I still can't process it well.
wow this is the first actual live version of For Your Love I've seen as opposed to the lipsyncs for TV that were so common at the time. fantastic instrumentation and snappy performance.
Mr. Beck, we are from two different worlds but your talent intertwined are worlds. This is an incredible loss! Take flight with ease 🕊🕊🕊 My condolences to your family and friends.
RIP Jeff Beck. Your music brings me back to my teenage years.
Saw them at The Corn Exchange, Bristol and they were fantastic....loved them since them
Hello friend, how're you doing today?
One of those catchy songs of the sixties that are still good to hear fifty years later. This song was so popular then I used to hear in on the radios almost everywhere I went in those days. Good to hear.
This great classic song brings back many fond memories of my youth. My generation grew up with the best Rock and Roll music that was ever played. 😃Rest in peace Jeff Beck and Keith Relf. 😢
RIP Jeff Beck and thanks for sharing your musical talent with us.
Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
R.I.P. dear Jeff. You are the mightiest genius of the guitar. We will miss you dearly.
Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
I know I am olde when those musicians I listened to repeatably and continue to do so bring me to the happiest time in my 76 yr olde life!
Lovely track and still very meaningful today.
This type of music is classic and will never be forgotten, great line up and RIP Keith, your music lives on....
I was 17 when this song hit tie air waves. I listened all the time to the Yardbirds. What a great band they were. I still love their music over 55 years ago.
What a simplistic song.
The Yardbirds were an amazing group.
@garrison6863 Also very talented, but unfortunately they didn't gain too much popularity. However they were a great band.
One of my top 3 bands of the sixties loved their style of music and playing
RIP the two members of The Yardbirds
Keith Relf (March 22, 1943 - May 12, 1976), aged 33
Jeff Beck (June 24, 1944 - January 10, 2023), aged 78
You both will always be remembered as legends.
Poor Keith had it rough with his illness. Died while making music for us too.
I LOVE the Yardbirds and have since the ‘60’s🎉
I am sooooooo in love with this 1965 video!!!!!!!!
Jeff Beck's dearth brought me here...songs of mry teenage years .Rest well Jeff thanks for the memories 😭😭
He does look young yet his music is timeless. Ive listened to the Animals since I was 10 yrs old. When I watched the bio about Eric I found his story fascinating...Happy Birthday 😢
My era. Great days with the Brits dominating. So many top groups playing LIVE!! Timeless.
This catchy song is still very good to hear. One of my favorites of those times, it makes me recall the life I lived then.
Jorge i agree with you its lovely when a 60s song catches the memories of days gone by ,, I hope your past life was happy ? mine was with out a doubt lol x
@@oughtonoughton2634 it sure was Oughton, and that is why I remember those days, whenever I hear this song. Regards and have a nice night.
An dieses Lied erinnere ich mich sehr gut❣️😉 Ich war 14 Jahre alt 😀
I like to think that as a teen in the 60s by buying these records and albums I helped to encourage the bands and singers to make more music.
Great band that deserves recognition. This performance is live-and it sounds great. All of The Yardbirds songs project a mysterious and haunting quality, and For Your Love is no exception.
Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
I loved The Yardbirds when I was a kid. A band I was in covered For Your Love. Over Under Sideways Down was a big favorite of mine as well.
So glad I i had this great music to listen too. Still listen every night. Thanks for the memories
Rest in peace Jeff Beak for me was a legend and one of The greatest guitarists in The world .
@manuelarias1083 Jeff is great one. A favourite. I still can't believe he's gone.
Rest in peace Jeff Beck! You are part of history
I luved them and this song since I first heard it.i was twelve yrs old.still crazy over it.
Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
The simplicity of this all time classic made it work. It was the the favorite of every backyard and garage band in the country in the late 60's.
This song reminds me of my freshman year in the University. I still recall all the parties and the fun we had in those days. We studied hard but made up for it in the weekends. Good song.
I attended a concert at the Fillmore auditorium in S.F. on a Sun. afternoon. I was 17 Oct. 23 1966, my birthday. price $3.00 To see Country Joe and the Fish and the Yardbirds, one of the greatest shows i have ever attended.
Always loved the bongos. Gave the song that little bit of extra difference. Great group.
Steve the bongos give this classic a chill of delight lol x
The Bongos went well with the Beatnik look of Keith.
Oh God, when they stopped writing this music, no one could come close again.
Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
Amazing to see the young Jeff Beck there. Awesome upload. Thank you.
Hello, how are you doing? It is nice seeing you here.
One of the coolest bands in rock history
This band really knew how to combine pop with progressive, resulting in the best of both. Still sounds modern & relevant.
なんて色褪せないカッコいい曲なんでしょう!!
One of our greatest guitarist of all time is in heaven, RIP 🙏 🪦 JEFF BECK
RIP Jeff🎸🙏 🎼 Great music in the 60,s !
Ima hip hop head but I’ve been getting into these oldies lately and binging them. So crazy how much great music there is out there when you venture out.
Yessiri Bob thats not my job
Wow! So lucky! I would have loved to have seen them perform but sadly I was born in 79 so I was too late. Lol.
@@HelloKittyisMyPal Well, Michelle, at least you own the distinction of having a Beatles tune (by Paul McCartney -- fluent in French) named after YOU. Sonde mon qui bonne tres bein ensemble. (These are words that go together well). I saw Page, Beck and Clapton later in their OWN bands as well. That just means I'm older....LOL. And a bit lucky. I wish you well, Michelle.
@@HelloKittyisMyPal Here's a great trivia question. Can you name three Beatles tunes that are girl's names? Michelle, Eleanor Rigby and Penny Lane. Just for fun.
@@kennethpatterson6511 you are indeed very lucky to have seen them perform. I would have loved to have seen Jimmy Page perform! The Beatles songs you listed are some of my favorites but there is also Lucy (in the Sky with Diamonds), Dear Prudence and Clarabella. :D
@@HelloKittyisMyPal Good research, Mic. I learn something every day. I had forgotten about those three. Cheers.
Rest in peace, Jeff Beck. Saw Jeff’s Yardbirds performed live in Singapore in 1965.
I was 12 when this came out and all of the rock just kept getting more fantastic because of the influence of the British bedrock groups. The Beatles, The Hollies, The Animals, The Rolling Stones, Blues Magoos, The Kinks & yes The Yardbirds… all cutting edge groups of the time. Monumental shift in the music world and global culture.
OMG...I was 12 about to enter the big house (High School)555lol.
Re: Blues Magoos" . I've been looking for a song I thought they did about 1967 which has a chorus of "I just love the blues..luv the blues". Was that them or someone else??
