For Your Love was my 1st album purchase as a teenager. (73 now) I love A Certain Girl,
Good Morning Little School Girls, and others. His voice was COOL, his harmonica, GOOD!
RIP Keith Relf, I still LOVE your voice & harp playing...great schtuff to grow up enjoying!

About time Keith Relph had some acknowledgement. Been a Yardbirds fan since I was 18 in 1981, as a guitarist they've influenced me in every band ive played in , even the haircut at that time.Like Brian Jones he had asthma though both played great harmonica. I read in the Yardbirds book that was released around '84 that he had a collapsed lung, which is even more amazing if true.

There is a song called "Silver Tightrope" on the Armageddon LP shown here. It is simply an amazing piece of music. I recommend you try it on TH-cam or wherever you stream your music. The words on his headstone are from this song, I think.

The narration fails to mention that Illusion released two albums, Out of the Mist and Illusion (aka Madonna Blue). Relf died during that period and did not appear on the second album. Those two albums were more of a progression from the Renaissance album Illusion than the first Renaissance album. I know. It's confusing with the name changes. IMO, while Illusion's second album is good, Out of the Mist is a masterpiece. My introduction came with the first Renaissance album. I found it in a friend's record stack and asked about it. He said it was OK. He had purchased it because of the former Yardird members. I asked if we could listen to it. I loved it immediately. My friend suddently heard what he had missed before and it became one of our favorite records.

I wonder if the guitar that ended him was a Fender. They have a reputation of giving shocks. I once sat in a music shop playing a brand new Fender and got 2 shocks myself. What a terrible waste of a great musician.

Yardbirds were fantastic, undoubtedly one of THE premier exponents of the Tavistock Institute's cynical Frankfurt Schoolish experiments in "culture creation" and the social engineering and psychological conditioning of the great, malleable, mindless masses. It was ALL of 'em- check out Dave McGowan's book ""Strange Scenes In Laurel Canyon" (I think that's the name of it?) and see that almost EVERY one of these "hippy", "counter-culture", hard/heavy/space/ prog/blues/pop rock groups & artists (Credence Clearwater Revival, Mamas and Papas, Janis Joplin, The Byrds/Grateful Dead, Jim Morrison, Frank Zappa, Crosby/Stills/Young, Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, and a huge volume MORE of 'em) were ALL the brats of high level CIA/NSA/ORA & military or domestic intelligence apparatus/ cointelpro (etc....) operatives, agents and assets, and most were "schooled" (programmed via MK ULTRA/Project Monarch) in the SAME military base school/complex. A like situation existed in the UK, with EVERY ONE of the so called "British Invasion" bands and artists being the artificial creations and constructs of the UK's Tavistock Institute, the biggest, most insidious & FAKEST of 'em ALL being The Beatles (please locate, & examine the research and content also of Mike Williams "Sage of Quay" channel & blogs, much of which has now been censored and removed from here and the wider edifice of 'giggle' corporate technocracy antisocial media platforms........). After the heads of what might loosely & vulgarly be termed "the Illuminati" determinedly declared "open war" against the longstanding dominance of the Christian religion/faith, ethos/morality and depth of societal foundation, the Beatles were constructed in order to become the planned "tip of the spear" in this agenda to kill off Christianity and slowly contaminate society, culture and the zeitgeist with a wholesale assault upon & erosion of western morality by degrees: sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll, eastern mythological philosophies, & practices, experimentation with & adoption of "new-age" and occult traditions and ritual, the whole 9 yards. They sought to "satanize" society, using subliminal messaging, backmasking, their records even being made/recorded at different, "uppier" and more "positive" frequencies, and NOT the Rockefeller Foundation's insisted upon globally assumed 440hz, and a massive, concerted, and contrived & choreographed and controlled "media blitz(es)" that were anything but "organic". Fascinating subject, how EVERY aspect of popular culture, the movies, actors, musicians and artists, all the "influencers" and such, everything & one put before us- on our TV screens and lil' black mirrors, in the newspapers and behind the news desk, in your beloved & oh-sooooo reliable giggle searches and wiki "fun-factoids" are ALL (often- ) fake bio, artificial construct, programmed, controlled and contrived, cynically instituted pawns of the "culture creators" and their malignant agenda(s) to provoke a darkly alchemical global metamorphosis of human society and the human spirit. But yeah, despite BEING one such in & of this whole sorry system, I still liked the Yardbirds, no matter WHO wrote their "original" material....??
