    You’re slowly becoming the reference for all Logic stuff. I already know almost everything about LPX but still watch all your videos 💪🏻

    I have been searching for slip editing in LPX for years! Thank you so much. very useful for voice over editing. It would be great if you could hold ctrl + option and then drag with the mouse left or right.

    Logic needs a reference plugin like Magic AB. It seems like it would be easy for them to make and add to the DAW.

    Thank you! Very clear explanations and extremely useful features. I've been hunting for a clear explanation of the slip function for quite some time. Much appreciated.

    Really curious to know who sees this all this awesome, free, and incredibly useful info and then thinks, "Hmmm...THUMBS DOWN."

      I suspect that a number of Thumbs Down on EVERY video on YT actually are mistaken Thumbs ups... Mind you, there are always trolls about who will just Thumbs Down any video they fancy. So go figure!

    Fantastic videos Chris, Logic is very intuitive and yet so deep .... Using it to play in live stage or Scoring for music in 5.1, or writing music with loops... it has it all.... and yet not looking clumsy .... the best daw hands down.

    THANKS SOOO MUCH!!!!! I Had no IDEA Logic could do SLIP EDITING!!!! I had been waiting on Apple to implement this for so long and I didn't even know it was already there!!!! They definitely need to make it to where you can use the mouse though for this!

    Is there a feature that lets you record through your plugins ?

    • @MonsieurVersatile
      @MonsieurVersatile 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, just create an aux track for the input, add the effects and send its output to a bus. Then use this bus as the input for another audio channel and record this one.

    whats the difference between peak and true peak?

    • @almightytreegod
      @almightytreegod 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      True peak estimates the headroom you would have running out to analog gear, in essence. More accurate to the peak level if it was converted or coming out of your speakers, basically.

  • @MonsieurVersatile

    I don't understand the advantage of using VCAs rather than Busses to control a selection of tracks?

    • @almightytreegod
      @almightytreegod 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      VCAs act more like controlling the faders themselves. I could be wrong, but I think this would be useful like if the fader on your aux track was post-compression, but you wanted all the tracks driving into the compression instead, if that makes sense. In that case it kinda still requires an aux, I guess, but still could be useful.

    • @MonsieurVersatile
      @MonsieurVersatile 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@almightytreegod You could do that with a group, though, if you wanted to move the faders before the buss send.

    • @almightytreegod
      @almightytreegod 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hugelongjohns this is true, but doesn’t that physically move the actual fader?

    • @MonsieurVersatile
      @MonsieurVersatile 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@almightytreegod Yes, but that's not a problem.

    • @MonsieurVersatile
      @MonsieurVersatile 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Aha! Found a vid that gives a good explanation...use VCAs to keep fx levels in line with the volume levels th-cam.com/video/zSFBC241UTA/w-d-xo.html
