Hi mate top video I’m actually wanting to do the same thing but other other way round I want my one seat gone and then buy the seat and a half I’m wondering are all the bolts and fixings there to do that
Was it really as easy as your video shows as I'm looking at doing the same to my mk2 to make it a fishing camper. I'm not very mechanically minded but did the single centre consul fit in easy?. Keep up the good work and love your videos 👍
Hoe Leee Sheeeeeeeeeeet man! I'm getting a roof rack for the stuff I can't get into the back. All that complicated work is just too much stress for a simple man like me. 😋👍🤗
Any installation problems with the single passenger seat? Like you i want to replace couch for a single seat, the ford dealer said it was impossible because of the bolt holes...
The base model single seat seat from the same year fits perfect. Had to change to a single centre console but that's it. I kept the centre seatbelt inplace and plugged in so it didn't throw an airbag light on the dash
@@iNDI_VAN_A_JONES thank you. So I just installed the passenger seat. And it fits perfectly. The right passenger seat from the UK fits in the European version. ( I'm from the Netherlands). But one small issue. The airbag light won't turn off. The couch was installed with a airbag module on the backside. (UK driver seatbrought the seat because of the arm rest) and lower back handle). The single seat has not a airbag module, but a seatbelt sensors. This must be the case that the airbag light won't turn of. Do you have any tips?
I’ve just bought a FTC L2, so I will follow this conversion! I want to keep the 3 seats and remove the bulkhead…..Is there a solution to keep de 3 seats , but how do you connect the middle seatbelt?
I couldn't find a solution that I liked. You need a secure fixing point for the middle seatbelt and headrests . All I could think was the cage type bulkhead. But I didn't like that idea
I took a better look and your right. On this moment I want to keep the third seat for my young daughter and her friend. Maybe in the future I remove the bulkhead and change seats. Thank you!
Class video mate really helpful! Just one question, after you installed the new seat did all the trim fit back around the handbrake and is the usb/12v still useable?
Thanks for the quick reply pal, I’ve just seen on one of your other videos that you managed to find a new centre console. Is this the centre console which would come with a 2 seat van and did it bolt straight in?
Yes absolutely, I’ve taken the old seatbelt out and left it elsewhere, I can go and fetch it but right now I’ve got some other seemingly irrelevant error codes coming up (like a wheel sensor and stuff) and I’m just seeking some encouragement that when I get the seatbelt plugged back in it might sort it out 😂
Do you think it would be possible to remove just the top part of the bulkhead without the bottom bit. Pain in the arse putting seat down everytime I need a 3m length of pipe 😆
can the top piece containing the pump nails of the steel back wall also be removed separately? so that the rest of the steel wall can remain in place..
I'm also looking to do this with my van, I have the same van but the long wheel base..... where did you buy yours seat from and what do I need to look for, i don't know where to start, I'm finding your videos so helpful, keep the great work

I want to add a center seat to my connect for my dog to have more room. Also a throw rug in back really helps with the road noise
I sound deadened and insulated mine . Sound deadening mute matt nearly stopped all road noise . Even parked at night I can't hear cars passing

How did you overcome the seat belt being attached to the bulkhead?
Unattached the middle belt and left it under the seat

When you fit the single centre console did you have to change the handbrake or did it fit straight in? Thanks

This video is a saviour! Do you know if a Ford Torneo 2016 passenger seat would fit? Finding it a nightmare to find a transit connect one
They are the same body so I can't see why not. I wanted to get a tourneo connect head liner for the ceiling of my van but it was really expensive
Class video mate really helpful! Just one question, after you installed the new seat did all the trim fit back around the handbrake and is the usb/12v still useable?
I installed the single seat centre console and lost the usb

Did you get any seatbelt ecu error when replacing the the 2 seats with a single?
@@jimmyrandle2434 I left the seatbelt all connected
@@iNDI_VAN_A_JONES ok lucky i've still got that, better plug it back in!
Out of interest, while the seatbelt was unplugged did it cause any other error codes at the same time?

Any problems with the handbrake after this? I heard you need to change something on it. I’m doing the same to mine currently!
When you put the single seat centre console in the handbrake hits it. It hasn't caused me any issues
if ford could find a way to remove the centre console so you could shuffle into the back without getting out that would be awesome
I got rid of the bulkhead but the centre console I now have isn't an issue
@@iNDI_VAN_A_JONES hopefully they make that standard but i doubt it's a popular issue as others

I'm planning on changing my 2 seater to a 3 seater. Will there be an issue with the airbag light?
Can I also remove only the top piece of the steel wall?

Local scrap yard. All you need to look for is a single passenger seat for a 2014 to 2019 ford transit connect. It drops straight in
What seat was it again please
Is there anything you can’t do? X
Multitask... after all I am a man haha
Could you put the double seat in to connect rs sport it only has single front passenger would like the double ???
I have no idea
did you find out as i am looking to do this as well
would the single seat not fit with the plastic centre consol still in place?
No. The centre consoles are totally diffrent. The 3 seater has storage under it which won't fit the 2 seater
@@iNDI_VAN_A_JONES so you have to use the 2 seater centre consol to?
Yeah. I found one on fb someone who wanted to swap
Would you be interested in selling your seats?
Sold them buddy. Facebook marketplace is the best prices I found
They don't need the head rest for MOT
does anyone know how to fold the end passenger seat down in the 2015 240 trnd model?
Anyone tried fitting them in a ford courier
