    FDE: Flat Dark Earth. I’m going to make your day now… You have to check out Sky Lumen and see his programmable driver that can be put into this light and many others. It will most likely give you the perfect light for any situation. So many presets to choose from it’s amazing. I have them in several Weltool’s 🙌

    Just got into flashlights, and made my first “serious” buy with the PowerTac e9rg4. I love that there’s a channel for people who love lights!!

      Thanks for joining, mate. Plenty of videos here on this channel and PLENTY to come. Stay tuned for tactical/edc/and more.
      Also, will be doing a video soon about how to defend yourself with a flashlight at night.

    I carry a small light for utility purposes (currently streamlight microstream), a smaller keychain style light for a backup (currently a Rovyvon NOT attached to keys), and a "tactical" light for blinding/low light/photonic barriers/little bit of distance etc (currently an Acebeam P16)... I wish I'd have seen your stuff before I bought the Acebeam. It's pretty decent but for some reason it tends to want to strobe when I have it set for high, and I don't like that at all. It doesn't always do it, but it's like it resets itself to strobe and I have to reprogram it, and sometimes it will strobe for a few seconds and then go constant on. I don't want strobe, I don't like strobe, I think strobe is a gimmick feature that was popular in the 90s and needs to go away for good. I'm very excited to watch your other videos and keep up with your stuff in the future. Thanks for doing it.

    You sure got a good one for your defensive light. Remarkable! For a defensive/practical light though, I can't see me carrying it. I've been carrying the Olight Warrior Mini 2 but I just ordered the Nitecore P23i. Again, for strictly defensive, your light is killer! So glad you showed it.
    Note: for those that have done a lot of experimenting with lights, they've said, the strobe does not make things more blinding, but what it did do to the person having the light in their eyes say that they could not notice as well the person with the light was moving. It's for THAT reason, I want the strobe. Not to mention some of the newer lights don't have a continuous strobe rate, it varies making the brain more confused. A confused brain makes their reaction times slower. Sure, many experts say only use the flash to see then it should go off again instantly so you can't be seen. It all comes down to what a person's situation is and what they find to be true or not.

    • @flashlightcrazy
      @flashlightcrazy  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, it is personal preference and what scenario they are in. I do believe strobe would be of use, though constant on and momentary are ideal for dark rooms. Strobe for outside where others can be alerted to the light and create a situation where an attacker feels like they will be seen by everyone.

      @@flashlightcrazy I watched this the 2nd time. Yeah, I can see your choice for the C. I agree. Not just that, but I do also want enough flood, spill to go wide enough that I get a full picture who can be there and not have any dark areas that hid someone else I was not aware of. Candela and spill have their places and we have to go by each of our applications for its intended use by the area we want covered and by what intensity.

    • @2fast2block
      @2fast2block ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@flashlightcrazy for sure. Like you said, a true tactical light must include a quick on/off to identify and/or blind then move. It can be an 'EDC' carry light when a more practical second light is carried too for the typical tasks. But for ordinary people, it's a light more attuned for being a bedside light whether there is a firearm too, or something else defensive, or maybe just by itself as being used as a kubaton. Having 77,000 candela punch a face in low light and enough flood to get a bigger view quickly in such a small package is quite a light.

    I didn’t know there was another variation of the LH8 head with 1750 lumens either! Weltool is my favorite light brand besides Modlite even though I only have one of each (Modlite HOG OKW & Weltool LH1)

    Speaking about Weltool, I want one to mount on a self defense pew pew. I like medium spill and good bright hotspot. Want to be able to use it for close quarters battle but able to reach out there minimum of 300 yards. I agree with you with the Weltool being built like a solid tool. Which model would you recommend? I made up my mind that I want the 21700 battery for longer run times. Am thinking about the W3 Pro TAC. Just not sure that’s enough spill for home defense, but hard to tell unless I saw it firsthand. What do you think?

      The T8 Plus and T8 PLus TAC are both 21700 and very good lights.
      T8PLUS is LOW-MID-HIGH
      T8PLUS TAC is HIGH only and then hidden strobe and low

      I have that coming in the mail bro. If you hold off a few days I can tell you exactly how it goes. But to be honest, Its a AA weltool light with multiple outputs and comes with a rechargeable battery but can also take alkaline batteries - It's going to be a winner

    Can you please give me a hint after what time T14C goes down from turbo?
    I don't think this flashlight can give out 1750 lumens and 77000 candela for 1.5 hours straight.

    How would you compare this to the T2?

    • @flashlightcrazy
      @flashlightcrazy  ปีที่แล้ว

      This is a single use light for defence only. The T2 has 3 outputs so it is more practical.
      This is what I choose for self-defence

    In a home invasion I still would first turn the room light on even so I have a flashlight.

    • @flashlightcrazy
      @flashlightcrazy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Really? That's interesting to hear. I am curious as to why you would do that? Your intruder does not know the layout of your house, darkness is your friend in that situation. By turning a light on, you have just offered the intruder the layout of your house. And additionally, you have reduced the force your light will have when shined in their eyes.

    • @Gieszkanne
      @Gieszkanne ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@flashlightcrazy If he dont turn the light on, he will have a flashlight him self so he will also see the most important things for him.Maybe he will also try to blind you. If you blind him you also show your position and he gets in a combat mentality. If you just turn the room light on you give him time to run away. But maybe you dont want that and want to overwhelm him. But if you get into a fight with him its definitely better to have the room light on. There is so much more to consider. But with your strong flashlight you should be still able to blind him even after you turned the room light on and he didnt run away. And room light gives you more situational awareness. Maybe there is a second one in the corner outside your spill.

    • @flashlightcrazy
      @flashlightcrazy  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Gieszkanne I am definitely interested in your point of view. And I can see your argument. But for me, I would keep the light off and use momentary to work my way around the house and out of danger. I do not want to get into a fight with an intruder. They may have a gun or a knife. I would rather escape safely. So for that reason, I would not turn the light on and use a bright light as a momentary light to escape safely.

    • @vitogriffin8902
      @vitogriffin8902 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on what your capabilities are. If you're going to have a gunfight or something similar in your house then there are many benefits to just turning the lights on, and that idea has solid proponents who are tactically squared away, such as Clint Smith. Even if you're not prepared to fight it out, turning on lights has the likelihood of deterring intruders, as they typically flee when they know they've been detected. If you're not prepared to fight, or think for some reason that the intruders won't flee, then keeping things dark might help you escape or elude the intruders...in that situation using a flashlight isn't going to be optimal either though because it would defeat the purpose. The use of a flashlight in that scenario is for positive target/threat identification and blinding them. There's quite a few philosophies on how to use lights, when to use them, and when not to use them, and they all have some really good points to consider.
