Found the 2024 video 👍 Specs on the Wurkkos & Sofirn sound pretty close to what I'm looking for in an AR WML. Even dropping from 20K to 900 lumen after 5min., the Sofirn would do the job.
What is tactical about a light that takes 30-90 minutes to recharge? If I'm in a tactical situation, I need a pocket light that I can swap out in 4 seconds
I mean what kind of tactical situations do you see yourself being in that you’re going to be needing to hot swap batteries? I would think for most of us watching this video a “tactical” situation is going to be an annoying meth head at the gas station or a hungry pack of coyotes trying to steal our stringer of fish or bag of frogs. I would guess if most of us are in a tactical situation to where we drain an 18650 we are probably already royally screwed anyways.
@@Triaz357 In the woods in the middle of the night & batteries start to drain (which is common for me). Can't plug into a tree stump. I have an issue. Some folks can't wear watches because they don't work. For me, batteries drain & go wonky on me super often. So my need to change/hot swap is pretty common.
@ my EDC light is a Streamlight Protac 1L-1AA and I carry it because it will use two different types of disposable batteries. I’m bad about charging my EDC light and it dying on me at work when I need it, so I get ya. For a straight tactical light though I use the Wurkkos TD03 which is an 18650 but it basically stays on my nightstand or just goes with me when I think I’ll need a more powerful light like night fishing or going to a sketchy area etc.

Good 18650s will last and you can just hot swap the battery in a few seconds
