@@YaBoyRockLee Just to let y'all know is that in the books funny enough Ares Provokes the group a lot more Percy actually even says that in that moment Ares reminds him of every bully all the teachers who called him dumb and of his own stepfather Gabe making Percy wanna punch him also you guys were wondering what a child of a Two demigods is called Legacies they get mentioned later on but suffice to say that where we are in the series they don't exist because demigods just die so young that most don't ever get to have kids it's actually extremely sad when you think about they fact these kids can't believe that demigods can live long enough to have their own children

For the "Annabeth not knowing how to swim", thing, she very much can swim there's just things y'all werent thinking about: 1) she's wearing a lot of clothes, and multi-layers as well as boots 💀 2) I don't think some people understand just how HEAVY braids are when they get wet, I have dreads and when I go to the pool and dive my head underwater and come back up my neck HURTS. It is really hard to swim with braids/dreads. 3) its not like the water was settled down, it was moving ALOT and waves were coming at them lol
I appreciate the explanation. Its just an opportunity for a joke cuz its our stereotype not to be able to swim otherwise it wasnt that deep to me like the water haha

It's just that she can't swim when she's fully clothed, has her boots on, when there's a strong current and she's potentially panicking. Another thing is that i will remind you of the exact words of the oracle since you guys are deep in the discussion about what that prophecy means "You shall be betrayed by the one that calls you friend and fail to save what matters most in the end".
Talking about the video, it's mentioned more clearly in the book, rather than the brief glimpse you get on the wall of the ride in the show, but when he was born, Hera felt he was ugly and threw him off Olympus. It's part of the reason he's partially disabled. His injuries from his mother throwing him off a mountain for not being beautiful enough never healed properly.
Gabe is on the news, essentially blaming Percy for Sally's disappearance (and potential death). It's not sweet 😭😭 He's crying crocodile tears for the camera. He doesn't actually care about them
Ares being the god of war trying to stop a war by helping Percy don't make sense, he's obviously involved. They should just lock up Ares for everyone's safety because he starts beef and stirs the pot as a hobby, it's a source of joy to the guy. It's like he's not even mad when Percy squares up, unlike his kids who bully and hurt people, he just triggers them and feeds off their anger.
Im here immediately after finishing episode seven so I AINT SAYING NOTHING! Dang good reaction as always. I think you had a couple of misunderstandings, but im sure youll figure it out in the coming episodes.
I really liked this episode because it showed the character growth in Annabeth where she viewed Percy as a friend and willing to risk the quest to save him. It also continued showing Percy’s loyalty to those he cares about and how Grover is trying to figure out who had a hand in stealing the lightening bolt because he is loyal to his friends Percy and Annabeth as well. Athena, Ares, and Hephaestus are siblings. Ares and Athena both deal with War, but different aspects with Athena being Goddess of War Strategy in addition to Wisdom(though I constantly question the wisdom with her displayed pettiness in Medusa’s story and what she allowed in episode 4)
So here’s my thing, I love the hell out of the books. Perfectly honest, I would’ve been happier if the did anime series using the the percy Jackson/ heroes of Olympus fan art that we have seen in multiple times over the years. The show isn’t a exactly like the book, but it has potential. I feel like I was a bit disappointed when the actor apperences. Like I wanted Percy to have the iconic black hair and the sea green eyes. In annabeth to have her iconic blond hair. Only because I wanted to see almost everything in the book series brought to life. But I’ve learned from multiple series, personality always trumps book accuracy appearance. If the actors embodied the character they are playing then great. I will say this, the show does lack putting emphasis on certain mythological characters or like giving clues to who they are before like saying their name. Like how they mentioned Dionysus or the 3 fates. Or telling Percy that he’s accused of taking the master bolt. If you hadn’t already seen the movie or read the books, It was kinda random. Like in the book they had Percy dream about Zeus and Poseidon fighting over something first to give a clue something was stolen. In the movie they had Zeus and posidon in the beginning talking about the bolt being stolen. All before telling Percy he was a suspect. Good build up. So far in the show o music, no tension build up, which every other show has no matter if it’s fantasy, fiction, or non fiction. Even though show does have like a limit on each episode, it takes a few seconds to do like a flash back of Greek statue, or Greek mythology children’s book to build up to is Dionysus. The acting is mostly good, there a few scenes from the child actors and adult actors where it could’ve been better. But that’s fine. The last thing is the portrayal of annabeth is good, I like showed they her bossy side, but still I need to see that “know it all hermoine granger personality”
