I think it shows brightly. You just have to know where to look.
You should make a coffee table out of it. Make a wood or metal base and put a piece of glass over the top of it. That way you can use it everyday. I think that would be a cool second life for it anyway.

If you had told me when I woke up today that I would spend 15 minutes of my day watching two people wax poetic over a round piece of metal that they shoot bullets at, I'd have told you that - well, then, I guess I'd be watching Hickok45. Thanks for sharing a milestone with us strangers out here, who nonetheless feel like distant family members. May you still be having fun plinking and ringing gongs for 30 more years. John's a lucky guy to have grown up with the shooting range, woods, and most of all, a father that he could share such great memories with. Life is good.

I like those Tennessee lawn chairs. The legs are adjustable for sitting on the side of a hill.
And the feet have spikes to prevent slipping downhill.

great milestone video. you guys have done more to help spread the 2A gospel than any other person/group/etc... with maybe the exception of the NRA and we appreciate all the hard work you've put in over the years.
My heart jumped when I saw the title to this. Then there was relief when I realized a new gong would be moved into position. It is hard to believe that a video channel about guns and shooting would be such a comfort zone and island of tranquility in the media world, but this one is, and it is all down to the skill, knowledge, personality and attitude of one very special shooter. Hats off to you sir. I'm looking forward to lots more gong shot long shots.

Each and every dimple on the gong represents a great memory for me. “Can he hit it,” crosses my mind before every pull and that’s usually followed by that sweet sound of the gong bellowing back with its deep voice in affirmation. Thank you gentlemen for all you’ve done to educate me in the art of marksmanship. Finally, it’s truly endearing to see such a robust and loving relationship between a son and his father. Makes me miss my dad who passed away in 2012, but also reminds me of all the great times we had together. Tip of the hat to you, and please keep shootin’ and showin.’

I love how you can actually see the bullets in flight when zoomed in and get a glimpse of the curved trajectory.

It's the only target , that has a lot of Gun history, and lessons of great war stories that this target has been used in explaining the history of Weaponry . That has given us the freedom to be able see you shoot such a great sounding target .
The stories will never grow old , something that seems simple by its self such as a ole steel target , but putting it all together with the videos, American history has been made , let freedom ring .

this father and son video reminds me a lot of shooting with my dad. he can't see as good any more and I'm starting to shoot better than him, and every time there is a AK vs AR argument. but no matter what if I ever want something to do to kill some time, I known I can always load up a few guns, go to dads house and shoot some and it will be a good time.

I have to say that I've been on here since 2006 and Hickok45 was one of the first gun channels that I subbed to. The 45-70 and the gong are legend.

Even though this video is a few days old I'd never heard of AR500 steel, but have been recently seeing it advertised for targets, and the swinging aspect of your setup makes perfect sense for proper deflection of the projectile.

Hey guys! I'd like to thank you both for all the great videos over the last couple years that I've been tuning in. It may not seem like you're doing much to you two, but you have both really contributed to the gun owner/shooting world more than you could ever know. I have personally made decisions about whether or not to purchase certain firearms based on some of your opinions and using your knowledge, thoughts and demonstrations on each gun as a base to help formulate my own opinions and I'm sure countless others have done the same.
