    I enjoyed the video.
    I kinda liked the special effects, but wouldn’t want to see too much of them.
    Thanks for sharing. Subscribed.

      Thx for subscribing and welcome. I have gotten a lot of feedback on the special effects and the consensus is that people like them but, like u, they don't want too much of them. So I will not use too much of them. We went back to Bulldog Canyon with a better plan to finish the trail and that video will be posted soon. Have a gr8 day.

    Fun trail and we do it a lot in the RZR or JL since we live so close. It's definitely gotten worse but nothing your jeep couldn't handle. Cool video.

    5:10 I had to leave, spotter was freeking horrible, and there was nothing to spot around or over! You have enough lift and tires to float over all of that!

    • @jeep4dirt
      @jeep4dirt  10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thx for commenting and you are entirely correct. I normally drive and Fran normally spots. The purpose was for me to practice spotting over an easy section for our Jeep because she wanted to drive Backway to Crown King and have me spot over some of the more difficult obstacles on that trail. Fran is a gr8 spotter as she demonstrated here. Have a gr8 day. th-cam.com/video/TsT4Ccs_6bs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=b5956IwvXnrwlp1V

    I just ran this trail from Ellsworth RD to Dutchman's Gate on Apache trail (effectively covering the entire width, of it) in 4 hours.... Could it be that you doubled back or got lost? There are a couple of climbs that are off-putting, but a stock rental jeep could do it with no issues. The dry creek road is awesome place to stop and have breakfast or lunch under the mesquite trees.
    Always find a local to travel with, even on a decently graded sedate trail like this. We'll be happy for the company. Thanks for sharing.

      Thank u for watching and commenting. We had planned to run the entire trail from Dutchman Gate to Blue Point Gate but essentially ran out of time and exited the Wolverine Gate. We went back to Bulldog Canyon and I am currently editing a video of our journey from Wolverine to Blue Point which I will post next week. In that video I explain why we ran out of time and the changes we made to be able to move faster on trail. Except in very unusual situations we go by ourselves. Practically, it is difficult if not impossible to find people who are willing to be on trail at or before sunrise. We also love the challenge of finding our way and dealing with adversity. A good example of that is the video we recently posted and I link below. The day depicted in the video below lasted 18 hours and we loved every minute of it. Again, thank u and pls consider subscribing. th-cam.com/video/2jsOEIHZzo0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bB-Ns4w8HxqHLR9O

      Thanks for watching. We explain the time problem in the video just posted Bulldog Canyon part 2 which we have now corrected. According to the ranger we spoke to in the part 1 video the trail has deteriorated quite a bit over the last years although the portion of the trail from Cottonwood to Wolverine gates is not very difficult.

    Liked and subbed..last May I tried going south from the north gate on Bush hwy...in a lifted two door Wrangler by myself I got about 3 or 4 miles in and the terrain really got gnarly(steep ascent), so I turned around...don't know if I'd attempt it again...not that rewarding in a scenic way to me, some of it initially was with the tall, orange cliff walls...there were people hiking it and I got passed by
    side by sides...everyone friendly! Do you organize group rides? Thanks...Robert

    • @jeep4dirt
      @jeep4dirt  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank u and welcome. Your comment confirms what the ranger told us about the trail becoming more difficult toward the Bush Highway access point. One reason we start very early is to avoid trail traffic as much as possible particularly side by sides. No we do not organize group rides and almost never participate in them although we recently did for Backway to Crown King. Have a gr8 day.

    May I ask you if my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee can handle this trail with 31” tires and 2 inch lift but no skid plate and no lockers? Thank you for your time

    • @jeep4dirt
      @jeep4dirt  23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thx for watching. I am not familiar with the capabilities of your vehicle but the portion of the trail in the video is moderate and has multiple lines so my best guess is yes. We are planning to return soon to finish the northern portion of the trail and will post a video. Pls consider subscribing and have a gr8 day.

      Depends on which way you run it. North to south, you’ll have one steep rocky downhill will be the only real issue. There’s sort of a bypass along the edge that I used a spotter. Going up that hill, no lockers would be challenging.
      I ran it a couple weeks ago in a stock 2024 Tacoma SR with open diffs. My front lower suspension hit 3 times. I’m running 31’s, no lift with a 6 spd manual.

      @ thank you for your reply. My 2001 Jeep grand Cherokee runs full time 4x4 with 4 Low option when needed. It has automatic transmission with quad trac 2. If my memory serves me correctly, one time I faced one steep rocky downhill then I set it at 4L with 1st gear. It responded effectively. Same thing going up big rocky hill. Of course I would not go there by myself.

    • @jeep4dirt
      @jeep4dirt  21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      We completed the trail today North from Wolverine gate to Blue Point gate. This portion of the trail is defiantly harder than the run from Cottonwood to Wolverine. We ran that steep rocky section uphill and although I used my rear locker I don’t think it was necessary. there r some other sections of the trail that are somewhat difficult and slow going. Our video from today’s run will post in about 10 days. Pls consider subscribing and have a gr8 day.
