- A couple of 1,000+ HP 2020 Shelby GT500 Mustangs lining up with Twin Turbo Lamborghini Huracáns and Twin Turbo Audi R8s at FL2K in the DCT class.
They GT500s were outgunned but a lot of horsepower, but they put up a good fight.

Whats point of video. Gt500 makes almost 1k wheel and weighs 4200lbs and costs $90k and runs 9's with bolt ons. Audi and lambo like 1500 wheel and weigh 3300lbs and cost $450k with heavy mods. Gt500 still sounds way better and awesome bang for buck. Oh boy, here comes audi lambo fanboys who all drive corollas...

A stock R8 does 10.5s in the quarter mile and the Shelby GT500 does 10.5s and 10.6s in the quarter as well. It's pretty close stock. The Shelby GT500 beats the R8 in a roll race tho. Both have dual clutch transmissions. The performante I believe does 10.3s stock and that's because it's AWD and mid engine layout. Yes, the R8 is mid engine as well has less hp than the huracan.
Doesn't matter how much the Mustang costs. You show up to a race with a powerful car and compete with other powerful cars. You either win or you lose. End of story.
So much like in boxing there are different classes for a reason.

The fact that the Gt 500 is being put up against super cars tells you that it's a flat out beast!!.. Those cars cost 4× as much as the Gt 500!!

How hard do you want the Mustangs to get beat?? They got beat by over a second, in a race that lasted less than 10 seconds. That is like being nearly 30 laps down at the Indy 500 at the end of the race. Those Stangs got it handed to them. Don't get me wrong. Mid to high 9s is pretty quick, but not when compared to mid to low 8s.

All these people bad mouthing the Mustang,firstly it's 2 wd with 500 hp less then their opponents AWD cars. And more importantly there is a huge weight difference in favour of the Lambo s and Audi. Anyway at a drag strip it's All about times. Anything below a 10 s for a car with a weight of approx 4400 lb is dam good. If you guys think the Mustangs are slow why don't you go race them with whatever is leaking oil in your driveways.

9.20 Gt500 is a bad fcking ass street car and will beat most everything on street, if you can hook. And it sounds insane.
Those hurracans and r8’s are pushing 2k horsepower. To be able to walk a 1,000hp gt500 you need huge power. 2018 tt hurancans push 2 thousand horses easily with the set up. Takes quite a bit more for the R8’s. Like 35-50k in engine building. So you figure the r8’s are 100k with 40-50k in engine building. They have way more in those than the gt500’s. Just saying
The Huracan is the same car as the R8...
Mid 8 second runs are not 2k horsepower probably closer to 1400, 2k would be 7s.
