That thing looks familiar. I was really impressed how well it handled on the trip. Will handle any of the BDR’s.

That looks like Precision Motorcycle Racks. I had them on the KLX 300.
Love your 300 Rally build, the bike looks great. 👍
Good on ya for tackling a BDR. I was going to hit the Oregon BDR after the Giant Loop Rally in early June but had some life stuff get in the way. I could still hit it in Oct or early Sept.
I ended up selling the KLX and lucked into a good deal on a 501 that a guy traded in at my Harley dealer with 66 miles on it. I have a lot of mods to install on that bike, the seat is a torture device and the tank is too small. I’ve got the parts, I just need to be home long enough to install them.
Take care Boxxy! It’s good to see you posting. 😊

Sorry for the late reply. Dang that 501 is a beast of a bike for sure. Hope you love it! Always wanted to try one.

@@BOC_Adventures No worries. I know life gets busy. The 501 is a monster of a dual-sport. I need some more seat time Innit. I’ve been all over the place on the 890 and the Ultra Classic the past couple of months.

Your bike looks good.. I was wondering how a bite that size would do on the trail but you said it did great.nice to know looking forward to your next video..

Nice. I love mine. I went with 550 ECU and air box mod with stock exhaust, and i noticed a significant difference. I’m satisfied with the power management that I’m getting out of it. I didn’t want a loud exhaust, though I’m sure it helps. I have an aluminum throttle tamer to install, I’m hoping that smooths it out even more.

Thanks for watching. The 550 kit makes a big difference for sure.

Wonder if it's me, but I'm glad you didn't fit the crash bars. In saying that I like people's builds where they travel with auxilliary pouches set forward... which often favours having the bars to mount the pouches. What I personally dislike is over stacked packing on the rear. Difficult to achieve, but... What are your thoughts?

    • @BOC_Adventures
      @BOC_Adventures  ปีที่แล้ว

Oh man those crash bars are controversial for sure. I have been back and forth with my buddy who has had the 300 longer than I have. I held off but still might change my mind. Weight being the issue. I am 6'4 225. Weight is not good for this bike at my size.

I'll watch to see where you go with it. 6-4 ay! What I would do for that inseam. Sell up and go for a T700!

@@grahamrowe6278 I have a KTM 790 as well cause I could not locate a T700 during the pandemic. Next big trip is going to be the Smokey Mountain 500 probably in October.

... Thanks for the review! Thumbs up with a subscribe!
I have the same bike with a lot of extras/mods. I'm in Maryland.
Hope to do a video soon. Trying to decide to start another yt channel or just combine my two addictions, Fishing and riding.
With the 550 Stage 1 ECU and the Yoshimura RS4, did you do any air box mods?
Gearing- did you stay with the 14-40 sprockets?
If I may, one critique. The music is too loud. No music needed at all IMHO with your explanations.
    Thank you.
    Jeff

Thanks for watching! I stayed with the stock gearing and stock air box as well. Fishing and riding is a good combo! Thanks for the feedback on the music, I definitely will take a look at that.
