Just bought some Paradigm Founder 120H speakers. The Peachtree Carina looks like a good match but I worry about having enough power for those monster speakers. In your humble opinion, do I need something bigger, or will the Carina blow me away?
I wasn't familiar with that model but it's really impressive. They are big but it's great that they have an amplifier for the lower woofers. It looks like they have a high sensitivity, so you only have to power the upper portion and it's great that they have ARC Genesis calibration. I have an Anthem MRX1140 and ARC has been great. They suggest an amplifier from 15-400 watts and the Carina offers 300w per channel. While I'm not sure if it will blow you away it may be a good option. Of course, that is just my opinion as I've been impressed by what it can do with small and large speakers.
@@RandomDistractionsYT Thank you so much for your thoughtful reply. It 100% informs my decision. I might wait around for a deal on a more powerful Hegel or Michi because I definitely want to be blown away Cheers mate. Great channel, BTW.
@@vivianokeswa488 No problem, appreciate you checking out the video. Sorry to hear that about the price. What I did, even though they had a sale on them, was to use their 0% financing option which allowed me to buy it and slowly pay it off. Not sure if that is an option for you though.
Bummed that I don't have a desk to set this up on just yet but looking forward based on how it sounds initially.
Allways nice to watch unboxing!!! You are an expert!!!
Thanks for checking out the video, maybe I'll have to add unboxing to my resume!
Hi awesome!! At what volume were u playing the bookshelves?
I had the Carina at -20 and they were averaging about 75dB with some peaks hitting 90dB.

@@wekurtz72 an Anthem ATR integrated is a good match for them, separate ARC correction for low and high end
So the Carina can do well with my B&Ws. 683s s1 towers
It seems like it would, my towers have a similar sensitivity and power needs and it does well with them.
@@RandomDistractionsYT cool. Thank you. Will buy the Carina but they expensive this side. South Africa 🇿🇦
