Great review. I recently traded in my Nova 150 for the Carina 150 using the Peachtree trade in program. I waited until they brought the Phono pre-amp in. The Carina 150 isn't the GaN setup but I am very impressed with the HyPex amplification. It's great! I also like that there is no built in streaming. Streamers update and it gives the option of upgrading a streamer at some point. The phonon preamp is very impressive.

I have a Carina 300 and looking for my first turntable since I was a preteen in the 80s. Should I be looking for a table that specifically has NO PREAMP of its own to make the best of this, or one where I can just bypass it, or use both?
