Would a 39-year-old overspeed prime Usain Bolt if you told him that? Motivation is not the only factor for winning. In this film, this Koba was presented as three prime Fedors in one. And then a 39 year old amateur defeats him simply because he is motivated. This movie is so cheesy.

Amazing Frank Grillo, and if you have the chance to listen to it in Italian, ut is even better. After the tap, when the two hug, they added a line with respect to the American version:" I knew you could make it, another fight and you take it all!", which is awesome in the moment
@@richiebob5477 I think koba was meant to be the best in the world and would have beaten anyone, Brendan only beat him because of what he had on the line not because he was better than him.
@@6jackace Yeah, same reason with Tommy, Tommy fought with too much rage at his brother as he had an attachment to him, if he fought with his anger and his high battle IQ against Brendan he would’ve won but he relied on just pounding him compared to his other fights where he waited anticipated for their movements etc, Tommy was a prodigy in fighting
In real life especially now, the referee would have stopped the fight based on Brendan covering up for too long on the ground and taking too many shots. Other than that, I love this movie.
First, this is the best “fight movie,” ever made-better than Rocky, come at me if you want to. But, would any athletic commission sanction a tournament where the fighters fight one day after the other? It doesn’t seem safe lol
There were grand prix tournaments where 16 people fought up to a maximum of 4 times a night to become champion. It was very common back in the day, but now, just cause you don't see these tournaments in major promotions doesn't mean they still don't happen.
Ik this isnt the clip, but I hate that he beats tommy in the final match cause tommy is the better fighter but tommy is younger and so emotional from their past.
Yeah dude Koba could’ve gave Tommy his hardest fight yet and it would’ve been a war. Tommy wins but he’s taken some heavy damage and that’s how Brenden somehow pulls off the W at the end without it looking like plot armor
I highly disagree. All of Tommy’s opponents were to really build his reputation in the mma world as an absolutely unbeatable animal, to get the most amount of intimidation rooted into his cage persona for the max amount of intensity in the final fight. Brendan fighting Koba really shows the growth and learning experience in his mma journey that shaped him into the fighter that he became by the end of the movie.
@@benbasoco7436 that doesn’t make sense in my opinion. Just because tommy already best mad dog in sparring, so it’s no need for a 2nd fight…. And Koba was invincible who lost to a school teacher. The plot doesn’t make sense quite honestly, but you’re entitled to your own opinion & I respect it🙏🏾

Koba never fought in u.s soil. Usain has proven to be the best against the world. Upsets happen in combat sports and sports in general, all the time. Cinderella man is another example of this. A few years ago Anthony Joshua, concidered the best heavy weight in the world, Lost the title in his u.s debut against a fellow who was s'pose to be a throw away fight since the main contender got suspended for drugs. Generally speaking of sports, Miracle is the story of no name kids beating the heavily favored russia in hockey, taking home the gold. The greatest game ever played is another example where a 19 year old got a golden ticket to play in the u.s open where he beat the 2 best golfers at the time in a play off round to win the u.s open. There's been tons of David vs Goliath stories in sports so to me Koba losing to Brendon isn't impossible in the world.
When he said, "you don't knock him out you don't have a home", that gave me goosebumps. Any man would go nuts
Frank Grillo killed this role. He needs more movies man
