Nothing more nostalgic than the original Monster Madness. I remember coming home from school and immediately watching the latest video. How time flies.

anyone else remember watching these when they came out? I’d log on and anxiously await any new Nerd content on Cinemassacre or TH-cam (which back then, the videos arrived much later on here). I’ve been a fan since 2006, and even though I don’t catch all of the new episodes, I will always admire James’ spirit and dedication to his craft 🖤

Just what I needed after a stressful day at work
I remember this coming out when I was a sophomore in high school. Always preferred MM to AVGN and functioned as a guide to horror movies for me.
In Star Wars Attack of the Clones there is a scene at the end with Count Dooku flying a speeder bike back to his lair to escape. His cape is billowing behind him. It looked so much like a Dracula clip with him trying to get back to his castle and coffin before sunrise.

That’s Christopher Lee, the actor who played the evil wizard Saruman in the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy and Count Dooku in the two “Star Wars” films “Attack of the Clones” and “Revenge of the Sith”.
I loved watching these reviews when they originally came out. Perfect timing releasing them again, but now all together. It would be great if you could do a bunch of new horror reviews.

1 thing i agree with Frankenstein is the best story ever made not only horror but maybe best all time like overall story wise
Jason Takes Manhattan is still my favorite of the franchise, followed closely by A New Beginning. Not sure what brings me more joy, Jason kicking the boombox and turning on the punks or Ethel getting cracked in the head with a clever and squishing the tomato in her hand.

Everything was great about this documentary but he forgot the Godfather of Gore Herschel Gordon Lewis. And could have included the Italian giallos and primitive cannibals films. But awesome documentary anyway James!👍

I wanna say this once and for all: Dr Frankenstein clearly calls the monster “a Frankenstein” in the film. They’re both Frankenstein.

I quite like how She Wolf of London strayed more in to the psychological aspect that the Lon Chaney Jr version abandoned.

You know i was just thinking about marathoning Monster Madness this year.
I never actually watched avgn that much as a kid but with how famous he is and how many of his clips ive seen and laughed my ass off at i figured id try out this series (even though im a bit late for halloween) as ive been on a binge of videos like this recently

No IT? All the movies he lists are great (even though i prefer supernatural horror). But IT (or rather the remake of it), and Alien are two of the greatest movies ever made!
