As a godzilla fan, it does suck seeing people argue between minus one and the Monster verse. It's like: "Guys come on, us Monster fans are eating good rn, let's not quarrel over such minor issues" But that peace treaty only lasts so long

I was watching these on sat mornings in the late 70s, early 80s, until they stopped with the Creature Feature show here in SWFL(WTOG Tampa). You had to have a serious antenna to pick it up. 16 years ago I was a kid in elementary school when Godzilla was a dead franchise. I was the only kid who seemed to know about Godzilla among all of my classmates. These videos were so much fun to watch every day after school. The glory days.
These reviews not only made me aware of additional Godzilla movies I hadn't seen, it made me realize there were others out there that loved the big guy as much as me.
The irony is that Godzilla is currently reaching his peak with the success of Legendary’s Monsterverse and the absolute triumph that was Godzilla: Minus One. PSA - go and see Godzilla: Minus One: Minus Color when it comes out near you
This series is the sole reason why I am such a huge fan of Godzilla today. I just love hearing how passionate someone can be for a certain movie series or anything really. It got me so interested that I learned all the lore, watched all the movies, the series, even played some of the games. Thank you for exposing me to such a staple in the world of movies.

Yeah right, he has to change all the diaper's, his wife cant be bothered to do all the house wife stuff, so her husband could actually do what the fans want. When my daughter was born, my ex-wife didn't work. On the nights I had to get up early for work, she took care of the night baby stuff. These movies where the dads are forced to get up in the middle of the night, when the wife doesn't work, fuck that shit.
This entire retrospective was one of my big introductions to the Godzilla franchise, probably one of the best overviews of the series up until final wars, although I wouldn’t mind an updated version including the legendary films, shin Godzilla and -1.0
Predictions: we never did get that 40 minute IMAX movie, probably for the best. And we did finally get a new Godzilla vs Kong, which honestly, NONE of us thought we would ever see in a million years. 😂Still waiting on Godzilla meeting Gamera though...

This original Monster Madness is what got me back into Godzilla and made me a Cinemassacre fan. I should note that the "millenium series" of Godzilla Toho movies aside from the one direct sequel were basically a bunch of standalone stories which freed up any need to continuity between the movies.

"Godzillathon" is what reignited my interest in Godzilla (It also introduced me to James, AVGN, and Cinemassacre as a whole, and I've been a fan of Cinemassacre ever since), so seeing this re-upload of the entire review series the same year as the release of "Minus One" is both nostalgic and cathartic for me. 1:26:30 speaking of Always: Sunset on Third Street, the director Takashi Yamazaki just recently directed the new Godzilla movie Godzilla Minus One (which is taking the world by storm right now). I would highly recommend watching, it’s already become one of my all time favourite Godzilla movie.

as a kid i loved these videos but i’d love to see james do another monster madness including some of the new era films. I feel as if there was more he could’ve covered or things he genuinely didn’t catch or missed in some of these films- like zero mention of akane in GxMG, the reason godzilla is even there in GMK, etc. Still a blast from the past to rewatch these videos 🙏🏽

I finally was able to watch Godzilla vs Destoroyah about 16 years in the making and I comeback to Cinna and I thank you for helping grow my interest in Godzilla since I was about 7 years old
These reviews were the reason I marathonned every film in the franchise, just in time for Godzilla Kong of the Monsters. It was a trip but it was so worth it, it made the new film that much more worth it.

This is the series that got me into godzilla. I didn't have the chance as a kid to watch most or any of these films. My gateway was right here.
So hard to believe this marathon was 15 years ago.

I think out of all of the Monster Madness videos, the Godzillathon videos are my favorite, because I’ve always been really interested in Godzilla, and was glad to see videos that went in depth on the movies
I would absolutely still to this day love to see James do a full commentary for Son of Godzilla :D
I still have Godzilla 1985, Godzilla vs the Seamonster, Godzilla vs Megalon, Godzilla Vs Mothra , and Godzilla vs Space Godzilla on VHS still! I remember watching these movies over and over again!

My 5 favorite movies are Megalon, Hedorah, Monster Zero, Gigan and Mechagodzilla. I love this series and I love sharing my love of Godzilla
1:26:30 speaking of Always: Sunset on Third Street, the director Takashi Yamazaki just recently directed the new Godzilla movie Godzilla Minus One (which is taking the world by storm right now).
I would highly recommend watching, it’s already become one of my all time favourite Godzilla movie.

Honestly, I feel like this one should be updated with the new Godzilla stuff as well! Revenge of Godzillathon! Featuring the Monsterverse movies (Kong Skull Island included) and Shin Godzilla! Ooooh, maybe make it a double feature with the movies leading up to James reviewing Godzilla Minus One!!
This is what got me into godzilla and now I'm back after seeing Godzilla Minus One. Beautiful movie. I still haven't seen all of these but maybe someday.
as a kid i loved these videos but i’d love to see james do another monster madness including some of the new era films. I feel as if there was more he could’ve covered or things he genuinely didn’t catch or missed in some of these films- like zero mention of akane in GxMG, the reason godzilla is even there in GMK, etc. Still a blast from the past to rewatch these videos 🙏🏽

Godzillathon 2008 remains to be best compendium of summaries for every Godzilla movie (before 2008 of course).

I finally was able to watch Godzilla vs Destoroyah about 16 years in the making and I comeback to Cinna and I thank you for helping grow my interest in Godzilla since I was about 7 years old
These reviews were the reason I marathonned every film in the franchise, just in time for Godzilla Kong of the Monsters. It was a trip but it was so worth it, it made the new film that much more worth it.
