People just do not get it when I go drawing for 4-6 hours, and I am completely worn out after that. They think that drawing is not hard. But doing it with intense focus for that amount of time is exhausting. I just wish people would get it more, you know? Great video, love what you offer on YT. Keep up the good work.
your videos really stand out from all the art-tutorial and "how to" stuff. Really like your psychological an neuroscience perspektive! Thank you for that!
I have the tendency of doing the same drawing many times. It always comes out differently and I learn from each mistake or difference. Great discussion. Enjoying seeing your journey.❤❤❤
damn this video was so good, i usually listen to your stuff while im drawing for *motivation* but I actually stopped drawing this time and took out my note book and for real started taking notes like its class. 10/10 would recomend you to a friend.
"Tracing drawings can speed up the progress of your art, I promise. I learned to understand proportions better and my drawings improved because of tracing. .during my high school days..Just make sure to also set aside time where you don't trace so you can learn as well. You'll be surprised one day when you can do things you never thought you could. Just keep practicing."
This was really refreshing. I will try to take more breaks after my drawing sessions, hopefully I’ll retain more. Thank you for the science behind the art.
Bro keep the videos on please! I love your videos, I really appreciate it! It would be a nice idea how to start getting an audience on social media for artists 🎨 😢
I just came across your channel, and this is really interesting. I don't see this talked about in the drawing YT tutorials that are super popular and catchy on the front page, and I feel like this is helping me refocus my energy and motivation for drawing practice. Thank you for breaking this all down :)
I learned alot of things from your videos bro. At first, i wanted to draw how other's/inspirations use to draw, now i draw in my style, and focusing on my style made my art better now, thanks bro 😎👍
I'm an evening or night person. I like to spend time doing things in the evening and I don't like going to bed early. I also have terrible trouble falling asleep often and I had this during my whole life. I am often very tired, but I kind of have my life built around it so it doesn't bother me too much. Maybe I should take it more seriously though, since I really want to improve my drawing skills faster :/
I found another nice solution to the lack of focus while drawing, simply put yourself a timer, a physical alarm that rings when it reaches 0 secs. I dont know about you but the pressure from knowing that I dont have alot of time to finish something makes me focus WAY better than normally.
I'm proud of you, we need more Black men in animation, comics and video games, I hope you will stay away from anime inspired art styles so that your art will remain independent
Thank you!!! This was so extremely motivational and well put i love it, some of the best videos out here! I finally feel some clarity about art and art journey. Have a nice day.

This man is teaching me neuroscience and helping me draw. New favourite TH-camr
