The Drawing Routine That Changed My Life
มุมมอง 25Kปีที่แล้ว
use this drawing routine if you want to improve in art. worked well for me, so try it out for yourself and see what happens. 10/10 experience, would recommend
One of the reasons why I became an artist is because when I was little, I used to draw something and it didn't quite turn out how I wanted it but I tried convincing myself that's is good. Also it's good to have support from your family and friends.

Are you an introvert?
I have insane accurate intuition ,so much so, it causes me distress. It is almost like I have psychic ability.I don't even believe in psychic ability either. Lately I have a real bad problems with predicting what is gonna pop up on the internet. I think a lot of people do aswell. it is crazy. I blame my life long creative learning/skills. It seemed to make my intuition accurate.
Actually the gap is not that wide between him and I. I have always been obsessed and creative etc. It has always stood in the way of social activity . No dating no relationships etc. I am neuro divergent too with a butt load of mental conditions. I just was OCD about learning to draw from life and play multiple instruments. I don't/didn't want any distractions. It is kinda sad ,but is a well rounded social life really that great? Everyone does it ,and I don't see people on the peak of well being. Maybe if they are on substances. LOLOL
"He has something else that really really set him apart.......Aspergers"
I started doing these stuff by myself unconsciously, after undestanding the fact that fast entertainment made me feel empty. Now I've been drawing for the past two months almost non-stop and my motivation has never been more constistant. Plus, those fast videos don't even entertain me that much anymore. Endure boredom. It makes it all easier.
by the way another way to get more interested and motivated is just to get better because the better you are the more your imagination scrambles making you locked in
Im gonna practice left handed to draw more accurate
Thanks
I'm better than all of u people, now sit down
I use a projector for airbrush art and I still can’t do it 😂
Okk, so at some point in this video i realised that what is explaining is so true. I had realised that the eye in my portraits is the same thing I learned 4 years ago. It is not according to the reference. And now I finally understand why.
Rather get addicted to drawing than drugs
7:23 , about the Sistine Chapel part, I believe it's not artistic pride akin to Jordon's Pridefulness or something like that. I think its simply a sincere want to not make his art disgusting. Above all else, he himself wanted to see his creation the most, 1:19, case in point, the statue of Moses, he did not tell the statue to speak out of arrogance but out of pride and jest, because he was so elated of how perfect his art had become. Artistic pride can turn into pompousness which if you read the letter, notes of these masters :Micheal Angelo, Leonardo, Van Gogh, such conspicuous pride is non-existence. Infact, creative or open-minded people are the most critical of their work, it is shown in psychology. They will criticise themselves to death even when somebody else thinks , ah that looks lovely doesn't it. The vision THESE masters have is so grand (micheal angelo fucking analysing vein even though, I really think the priest just wanted him to learn succinctly more about anatomy and you know what , put any artist there , they would literally do the same. Its like if you are given a opportunity to learn about art, you literally learn everything even to the point of wasting time, its that type of hunger for art.) and un-attached to the mere human machination, it hard to understand how harsh they are on themselves. Van Gogh, depressing ass letter is literally what a typical artist on the PATH is like. People think that is a one of, far from it. Live to satisfy your artistry, your sense of wonder and beauty, not to prove to else of something. Also, his declaration in 3:27, again to an average person seems like profound arrogance but from his perspective, he would literally have torn that marble statue 100's of time until he got the statue HE wanted, HE wanted to see that HE considered the MOST beautiful just like with the molded painting in Cecilian Chapel. That distinct want for art is something, I think you kind of missed. Again in 7:23 , I don't think he spend 12 hours a day because he was a honorable man or something like that. When doing art ,you are playing half the time, you don't remember time. I doubt it was 12 hours everyday sharp, it was probably 12 hours average, but he did art as much he felt like 20,10,15,12 hr and so on. I mean the guy probably did art before breakfast, after breakfast, before lunch, after lunch, in the shitter he thought about art, while walking he thought about art. Art was a world more hallow than his own temporal reality to that man. Art was not what he did, art was how he viewed everything.
they were right... it was that damn phone
I'm depressed so...I'm screwed.
👏👏
I get the thing that is turning the image upside down, but how am i going to find out that im ready? Of course, i have to practice a lot, but like when i am going to draw it normally and by the way thank you for the video a lot now im really motivated and and knowing the sciencitical part of it made me really happy ❤❤
Actual unit.
What's mic you use bro ?
How do we understand the apparent difficulty he had with painting women’s breasts?
Thanks 🙏 Calculation = miscalculation
I dont recomend using sketch, eraser or something for fixing art when you training like this. Made mistake? now its part of your sketch, and one of mistakes that you will learn off, and i recomend to watch some videos about simple shapes of the body so you can start with something.
When I was busy with school/work and hanging out with friends; I was extremely motivated and drew so often. I was so happy and full of dopamine. After I started struggling more I lost the will to draw and it’s been like that for a while. I have depression and other problems so I naturally lack a healthy amount of dopamine and my thoughts often take control and demotivate me. I want to be able to draw more things and be better in general and that makes me overlook what I’m good at and that I need to practice and work for it; I lack the motivation and dopamine. I cant wait to work on myself and learn more with time to expand my abilities in art
Brother , I loved the video . there is a high pitched squeaky sound coming , i dont know if its your mics fault or something else ... but it made this video a less enjoyable .. im focused .. your voice is good but then theres this frequent unpleasent squeky noice . my humble request is to fix this issue . all the best for next videos .

Art
so? how are we supposed to use this? no conclusion, just "michelangelo was built different". coming from ur other vids i'm disappointed, other vids had great explanations and actionable steps, i expected to walk away from this vid with useful knowledge but i didn't learn much. your other vids on dopamine and getting addicted to drawing were great tho i hope to see more structured vids from you
This video has been sitting in my watch later list for SO long. Now I am thirsty for some knowledge and wise words. So, lets gO!!! . . . . ~16-12-2024 4:50 pm, Monday
Pride is a great engine.
Your perspective is really so awesome and personal in a way that’s so uncommon to see in art people. I love the vulnerability of your journey and it inspires me to embrace the human part of my own. A lot of what you say is very intuitive but emotionally difficult to accept because we struggle to accept our weaknesses. You are brave to share your story and inspire us to be as brave as you. Keep doing what you’re doing. 🎉
What a beautiful response to the accomplishments of another individual you have. I think it is because it mirrors your own passion, faith, and dedication, and I in turn am inspired by it.
Conclusion: "He's just built different bro" 🤣
Did you dislocate your right pinky
RHI+ASEBG=ofp\W-JAPESJPA this didn't help at ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL FUCK FUCK DFUCK FUCJK none these fucking art thigns work I HAVE BEEN AT IT FOR TWO FUCKIGN YEARS
I love the approach to explaining this to the masses, it makes sense as art is depictions of the essence dwelling within your creative center. (Psyche)
Good video. Well done
This is really great. We need more please. Thank you.
Amazing video Loved your narration !!!❤ Subscribed.
The horror of realizing I already liked this video a year ago
Please post more art history videos! This is great!
of course it all comes back to how little dopamine i have, thanks adhd >_>
Lately, ive felt like social media has been a big factor in my demotivation in everything. Not just art. Today, after many years and hours of my life wasted, i have deleted them all. Excited to start drawing again🗣️
Why make this a comparison?
Hmm… while you are at the beginning stages of your craft… at 63, I am at the end, but also am just starting out. 🤔 I am not looking at my art ( I paint 🎨 ) from a perspective of trying to make money or a career, I am doing it from a perspective of trying “to capture something/what it is I am seeing”. I guess I have an urge/need to share that somehow - although I’m not sure what difference this would really make. And that’s about it so far! 😌 I liked your “Obsessed” video btw (also just watched it) in how you look at other artists/their work + reflect on yourself/your art. Shine on! 😌🇨🇦 ✨💫✨💫✨💫✨💫✨
“Yeah… that is a big gap!” 😌
This is excellent. I encourage you to extent these concepts outside of art and to the real world. What you think you see, hear, smell, experience is often not whats really going on. Our senses are fallible, especially when multiple senses are engaged concurrently. Apply this to social situations, and even politics. The trickery of the senses are how the elites, the politicians and the corporatists control our thinking. In effect they dupe us into accepting a reality that isnt there.
This is amazing!! If you care enough about drawing you will do the exercises. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. I’m sharing this everywhere. Well done! ❤
Noice!
