33 of the World's Most Valuable Baseball Cards

  • Images of cards from the "DBacks Collection" owned by Arizona Diamondbacks Managing General Partner Ken Kendrick, a long-time collector. From Shoeless Joe Jackson's rookie card to a 1959 Topps Bob Gibson rookie card, the collection is remarkable in quality. Many of these cards have no peer with regard to grade. Mr. Kendrick owns the $2.8 million T206 Honus Wagner as well
    The 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle PSA 10 is one of only three graded at that level and valued at between $1 and $2 million.
    These valuable baseball cards will be on display at the National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago July 31-August 4, 2013. How do you have 33 of the most expensive cards and not have a honus wagner in there?

    Wow I can't even fathom someone having all those cards in those grades. Unbelievable!

    What a collection this person has! The 1952 topps Mickey Mantle in psa 10 grade alone is worth well over $1 million.

      Chris Bath that would sell for well over 5 mill in 2019, Easily. 1 of 3 10s in existence would set records at auction. I believe one PSA 10 MM sold at auction for well over 3 mill a few years back.

    The guy that owns that card is the owner of the arizona diamondbacks, he probably spend 175k on his electric bill for the stadium. What makes you think he would sell a one of a kind perfect graded mantle rookie for money he makes just selling hotdogs at the ballpark

    Big news the Famous Wagner PSA 8 card has been exposed as being trimmed and the person who submitted it to PSA has admitted that the card was larger then average and that he trimmed it. This card now goes from PSA 8 to a ungradable trimmed card big difference in the value.

    Crazy cuz most serious collectors are multi millionaires I guess. I make well over avg and could never think of going after cards of those years with such high grades. Very cool to see those in great condition. Thanx

    There are 3 Gem Mint 52 Mantles; I wouldn't pay more than $3M for one, but it is likely the owners never sell so we may never know. It's just nice to know such fine examples of these cards exist.

    Incredible... Looks like when Dimitri Young auctioned off his collection of PSA 10 rookies Mr. Kendrick's collection got a lot better. In my opinion the 1952 Mays and the 1954 Kaline should not have been graded gem mint. Even though a card doesn't have to have perfect 50/50 centering to be graded gem mint it does have to have the eye-appeal. I'm sorry but with the 1952 and 1954 Topps cards the gem mint eye appeal is not there, but they are still incredible!!!

  • @superman04p

    The quality and value of those cards could make anyone speechless.....but if we're being honest.... completely honest here.... some of those "PSA 10s" were NOT 50/50 top to bottom and or left to right.... he "bought" those 10s.... literally....

    • @Sportscollectorsdaily
      @Sportscollectorsdaily  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Superman04p Perfect centering is not required for a PSA 10. Most of the cards were acquired on the secondary market. They were not submitted by him.

    I have 9 of those cards. I just need to work on my grades. Honestly I love beat up cards. My cards were loved by those who possessed them, showed them off, played with with them. High grade vi tage is very cool but those cards likely never saw the light of day, they dont have history or anything fascinating other than sitting in a box on a shelf for 8 decades.

    175000 isn't squat neither is a million for the 10 1952 mantle. Offers of 2 million have reportedly been made and turned down.
