He is so spot on about "those" youtubers that just randomly advertise stocks that will 5x 10x 200x just to gain viewership profits, its so easy to say a penny stock will 10x in 5 years, when 5 years come no one even remember that particular penny stock.

This video hits hard. I'm a Donkey this year. Thanks to you and a few others I did DD on Tesla and made 400%. Then I learned about buying call options and lost most of it. Lesson learned. HOLD IT

This is excellent advice. I too wasted money on some expensive items when I was 20 years old in 1986. I wasted about US $2,300 on a couple things I did not need, which were HALF what I paid for them. I trusted strangers were telling me truth. On top of that, I BORROWED the money, paying interest for a year. This was BY FAR the most valuable lesson I ever learned financially--"Do NOT spend money you DON'T HAVE on items DON'T NEED which depreciate immediately because they are worth only HALF what you agree to pay for them." The average 20-year old probably doesn't understand this until they do it. The sad thing is, many people never QUIT DOING IT, and stay in debt, essentially, forever.

Hello CG! I’ve been following your channel for a few months and this video is so refreshing and different from the other videos. There is so much strength in vulnerability in this hard conversation about your past mistakes which I believe touched many people’s hearts.
I almost took up employment in Tin Chew’s “investment” company a couple of years back through a friend’s referral, but I decided not to because I felt that something was off about him and the company. With hindsight, this is one of the wiser decisions I’ve made.

You might not be as cool as Elon but you are just as honest and conscientious. Guys the advice about not trusting too easily is no joke. When I was first getting into investing with the pros at the bank, my return was minus 90%.
When Tesla started to crash along with all the other stocks I started to buy and every time it went down I bought more. I'm up over 100k now and would be higher if I hadn't taken money off the table as it rose. I bought a little more after the split and now I'm up $200/share since then. I bought it because I wanted to own a piece of that phenomenal company but I was emboldened by you. Thanks. I'm trying hard not to be a donkey.
Sorry I didn't see this video earlier, but I wouldn't miss this because with all of the "stocks never go down" attitude out in these streets it makes me very nervous for others.
I know I have made mistakes with my money in trusting others (in relationships) but I so appreciate that you have made a video showing the lessons you learned to make you who you are today.
No matter how I look at it, even if I had a time machine with the knowledge my mistakes taught me I wonder if I would have been further in life because I now accept that my mistakes have made me who I am today and I cannot see the me of today coming into being without the hurts.
Your honesty and transparency is always so appreciated and I can only wish for your generosity to be returned to you in your life with the things that are greater than money... healthy and happiness. You're a star Chicken and I appreciate you.

When people make money out of crypto they buy houses, stocks and convert it to fiat currency.
Fiat currency doesn't fluctuate 100% plus in a year. Fiat currency can also not be worth zero, or countries would be broke.

I have only just discovered your channel. At first I didn't know what to expect. But I can confidently tell you that I love your content. I'm divided on investing. On one hand I don't have time, since it's not my job, to research and keep updated on more than 1 company at a time. And I know that great returns will not come diversification. So well... seems like 1 stock is the obvious answer. But then again, that's insanity. But putting half in an index or something just... feels really bad when you can also put it in that one company you believe in and that's doing waaaay better than the index.
Here I was, proud of my 60% return on the year but little did I know I was a donkey this whole time 🥺

So many people get suckered out of their money believing in a wolf in sheep’s clothing. There is enough FREE information available to understand markets, trading, and investing without having to spend thousands in the process. I’m speaking from experience.
Understanding is the key ingredient to markets, trading and investing. Anyone can start where their at and gain experience.
When you don’t have it (experience) be prepare to meet someone who does, and parts with your money.

One of my biggest lesson is that being out of the market is worse than being in the market as you can't time it. The other is underestimating and letting your own emotion taking over your logical reasoning and thought. There has been approx 3 or 4 stocks that I was going to jump in but was "scared" as my emotions took over... This has caused me hundreds of thousands of dollars in potential gains. In order to become a better trader or investor you must loose money first, that way you won't try to replicate the same mistake in the future...

CEO predicts that 2021 will be the year that TTD platform will gain market wide adoption which explains the recent run up. I would love to see a dip to add more for the long haul. I am very bullish on Roku as well and have some shares. Laura Martin at Needham is the person you want to listen to when it comes to Ttd and roku.

Great advise CG! I'll add one more piece: Never ever borrow money from a bank for an investment other than your primary residence. Margin will kill you. Lots of scams out there that involve this type of strategy. Same goes for using margin to buy stocks. You'll get burned at some point.

Great advice. I didn't even trust you at first. Back in March your viral video popped up on TH-cam. It really impacted me, but I didn't jump on board right away. It wasn't until October that I decided to go back and look you up again (I had to scroll through 7 months of my youtube history to find it). I missed out on a lot, but I'm still happy with how things are going so far!
Avoid mistake : buy tesla stock
I feel for the bitconnect sceme in 2018 and learned REAL quick 😂 then, I sold my bitcoin position for a loss after the “crash” in 2018 as well..

Chicken genius, you are great! I wish i had known about you much much sooner this year. I did worse than the donkey this year losing money, putting money in leveraged funds just before the market nose dived in march and i sold most of my stocks at the very bottom out of pure fear, suffering a huge loss to the net portfolio. Even then, im glad to have found you and try to learn from you in each of the video you post. You are a true inspiration!
Because anything can go wrong it is so important to invest in companies that are trying to benefit the world. Because even if you fail your intention was honourable. Probably your comment that has most influenced me in the past 6 months. I invested in Aqua bounty technologies for this reason. I spent my career in fishing and would like to see commercial wild harvesting reduced to zero with all fish raised in land ponds rather than sea cages. I would like to see the ocean reserved for recreational fishers and marine reserves, only to harvested commercially in a famine. Thanks CG.

First comment on your channel. I've been following you for the last few months. Regrettably not sooner. I've made every mistake you mentioned plus more. Lost so much money I don't even want to think about it. Lucky thing is that I can still recover. Viewers that have not made these mistakes before might not appreciate how valuable these lessons are. Two of the biggest investments I have now are TSLA and bitcoin. Started accumulating TSLA since around May this year and BTC/ETH only the last month or so. Again, regrettably not sooner on both, but still a great year and looking forward to even better gains in the coming years.
