3.5in Gauge LSWR D15 Update 2

- Been a while since I last did an update to my big 3.5in gauge engine, and there has been an update, I've worked out how to remove the regulator though have yet to work up the courage to do so yet!
Have also discovered a few extra bits which need mending, but the main update is bringing up the rear!
Yes I bought myself a tender... not quite the right tender but it's close enough!

You are a braver man than I to take this on. As others have said, I would certainly recommend joining a local model engineering club. I'm sure they would have the information that you need, or know where you can find it.

Cheers very much Pete heh, and there is a local one near me, been more focused on health things as of late (mostly alright however), did buy a book on another 3.5in engine just for some info on some of the basics but will join them when I can!
Will try to get videos as well when I visit too!
It's a lovely thing James. You might need to talk to a model engineering society for bits, there is an excellent one in Chichester that regularly runs open days. They have a wealth of knowledge which would help you figure out where and how you should proceed in getting your engine back on the rails (plus they have plenty of track laid down to run different gauge locos on)
Cheers very much, and there is a local one in Fareham, however they don't do open days all too often, but do know someone at work and she and her husband are in their group if I remember right, so will have to ask her about joining when possible.
Though might have to book a day off work to attend the open meeting, always on a day I'm at work heh!
@@GosportRailworks Well strangely, the Chichester one had an open day this weekend just gone apparently. My other half told me yesterday. I would imagine joining a society would be a sensible thing to do with this loco as it is a bit more complex than a good old n gauge 😀
Only a little bit more complex! Though I'm still wondering where the pickups are heh
And yeah I do need to join up with one, but it's no rush, will get it running in time!
