Hi! I have a little video idea if you don’t mind. I’ve always wanted to go to Tokyo Disneyland but I’m plus size, around 280lbs and I don’t know if I’ll fit most of the rides so if you have any advice on the rides or knows someone who’s been there that can help that would be great.
I think reducing capacity so that people can have a better experience is such a smart idea. I'll never forget waiting 3 hours for Space Mountain in 2014, then the ride feeling like it only lasted for 30 seconds.
I'm glad they're doing this but the trade will likely be increased prices in tickets. We've been fortunate to have lower ticket prices but I can see that not being the case in the next few years. I'm OK with paying a bit more if that means the experience is going to be more pleasant. I've been in the Parks when they've been at capacity years ago and it wasn't fun at all.
@@tdrexplorer yeah, price increase is technically what they started doing in the US parks, and while that meant a lot of people wouldn’t be able to go vacation there, it still didn’t do that much difference crowd wise.
I like that Japan is looking to cut numbers to bring ride waits down, adversely US are charging more to skip the lines if you don't want to wait for hours. Seems like Japan has more of the WALT spirit than, his own park has. 😢
@@tdrexplorer I'd rather pay more and know I'm going to get on rides, than pay more to get in, then pay for Genie +, THEN pay again for Lightning Lane.
I was at Disneyland a few days ago and the Lightening lines were all longer than the standby line. You are paying extra to wait in a long line BUT the standby line will not move until everyone in the Lightening lane gets through. There were 10 people in standby line for Space Mtn & minimum of 500 people in Lightening Lane
I remember making the mistake of going to TDR in the middle of summer for Japanese schools, and it was doable but agreeably soul-crushing as I felt that I was just waiting in lines the entire day. Unfortunately had to skip Haunted Mansion because the lines were INSANE. Hopefully the reduced capacity does help wait times.
I remember being in the parks during peak periods and it was so unpleasant (Any Park is unpleasant when it's at capacity this isn't unique to just Japan). I'm OK with a reduced capacity to make things more enjoyable. Hard to say if what we see now is the new normal or not though, we've been in such a weird flux for the last year and a half.
I remember visiting the Magic Kingdom during July with my family and boy it was awful people-density wise. Not just with long lines (we still had the fast pass system back in 2014, thankfully) but slowly walking through the crowds themselves and the lack of space to move many times throughout the day was the most exhausting for me
same! I grew up going to Disneyland in cali and you seriously had to go off off season for lower queue times, but it was usually always unheard of even then for something like Space Mountain to be less than 30 minutes. What's wild to me is I'm going to Disneyland Paris soon and been monitoring line times in their app, their Haunted Mansion (Phantom Manor) and Pirates nearly ALWAYS have a 5 minute wait :O
@@alorachan 😱 Disneyland is my home park too. We are going to WDW for Christmas but 2023 will be going to Paris. Thank you for the Paris Park info. I had no idea ✨💕✨
One of the fun things about going to Disneyland or DisneySea alone is that there is no one to slow you down. Yes, it is fun going with friends and family. But once in a while when you are on your own, you can go hard: Rides, food and drinks. You lucky man. Despite the Japanese heat, I see you had a great time. Keep the awesome videos coming. 🔥🔥🔥🔥👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I had to share what the different numbers meant cause it's so clever! It also doesn't make sense unless you know Japanese, so it was worth explaining. Thank you for watching!
I woke up panicking this morning because I'm going here in like a month and then my sister talked about que times (for reference, I've never ever been to a Disney land or even a theme park in my life so I have no idea about these things) so genuinely this was really helpful for me to think about what I can prioritise, and I picked a day where it would be less busy so this video was super helpful for thinking about wait times and stuff - super appreciate it!!!!!
Hi Explorer! In case there is Hercules merchandising in TDR, could you make a video of it? (this year is the 25th anniversary). Thanks for your fantastic videos from another fan of Chip 'n Dale 😊
Rides! This video is sooo good for the people who’ll have just one day to visit Tokyo Disneyland (like me) 💗 i loved it! Really informative and well done! Thanks for keeping us updated on everything 🥰
I’m isolated at home and alone, so watching this made my heart warm up! I’ve been dreaming of going to TDR since I found your channel and this video was A+! Thanks Chris! Rides!!
we actually rode the beauty and the beast around after lunch and it only had a 15-10 minutes wait. we went on a Tuesday so it definitely depends!! absolutely loved this, you put so much effort in your videos!
Yup! Wait times can vary, so keep an eye on the app! I think, if I remember correctly, on this day it only got down to 20 mins later in the evening and was between 30-45 in the late afternoon or something. Our parks are in a weird state of flux so it's tough to see the patterns just yet. Especially with the introduction of the Disney Premier Access. Thank you for watching!
I hope Japan opens individual tourism by November so I can go to Tokyo Disney for my birthday! I’ve been watching a lot of your videos in preparation. Thanks for the content!

Could you share what the app is that gave you the wait times? I'm going in November (end of) and that seems like a super useful tool even if i can't read Japanese!
Would you ever consider to do a Disney vlog dedicated to the princesses? ☺️ Like looking at the rides, attractions, foods, merchandise and everything around them. I am very curious how Tokyo Disneyland + Disney Sea are presenting them and what you can see and do involving them. 🤩
Really enjoyed this video… hope to see more fun ones like this from you in the future, as it gives us an even better idea of what the parks are like. We’re really hoping to visit next year if Japan fully opens.🤞🏻 RIDE

Oh my I'm laughing with you at the exhaustion part 🤣 I hope you had a nice dinner afterwards! This is so hopeful in navigating the park~~ gonna be our first time in Disneyland this April!
That video was quite a RIDE! I never thought about riding all of the rides in one day, but now it's on my radar. I just need to convince my travel partners. Thanks again for a fun video.
So fun seeing all of these rides because despite going in the middle of the week and in a supposedly okay month I had the worst luck with wait times and couldn’t ride much. It was such a disappointing time and I’m looking forward to being able to go back and try again. I love that they’re going to reduce capacity. I’d rather pay a bit more and know the experience won’t be a bit like torture!
Rides! - you know you are an adult when you start to get tired after riding so many rides. 🤣😅 I don’t even remember how I did it for my 30th at WDW. Still had a blast though and hope to visit TDR and Japan some day soon. ☺️🤞🏻
I’m tired just watching you go from ride to ride so you will have been ready for your bed when you got back to your apartment. Hope your having a lovely time at home with your family after the long wait to be able to go home
Ride! - good to know you could basically do everything in 2 days then when the crowd capacity is lower! Still don't know when I'll get there, but someday!
RIDES--Loved this video, one of your best ever--I can’t sing the praises of it enough and will be sharing it out. I know how tiring running around trying to create a video and ride as many attractions as possible can be, I’ve done it for my own tinny tiny channel. I accomplished 19 I think 🤔 but I refuse to ride Snow White- the witch scares me 😂 I consider myself somewhat of a pro on Tokyo Disney resort, visited the first time when it wasA-E ticket system and the Sky buckets were actually still in the park. Was at Disney SEA on opening day. Having said that though it amazes me at how well your videos are done. Both very entertaining while teaching and sharing knowledge. Standing O for that. Even us old timers can learn something new or be reminded of things we have forgotten. Next time if you need a camera carrier or bag carrier just give me a call and I’d be glad to support the kindness you share by sharing Tokyo Disney Resort with the world.
Thank you, TokyoDisney Dad! I may have to take you up on that offer, hahah. That Snow White attraction is pretty rough too, you're thrown around quite a bit. I'd love to see ours redone to the same as the one in California.

Is splash mountain in Tokyo Disney land shutting down and getting redone as the new Princess and the Frog ride like the one in Disney World and Disney Land California?
@@tdrexplorer ok I was seeing 2 days with the package So just do 5 nights and buy tickets separately? Thank you. How hard is transport from Tokyo airport speaking English only ?
I can’t believe space mountain is closing. It was by far my favourite ride of the day when we visited a few years ago. Such a shame I won’t get to ride it the next time I’m able to finally visit again 😞
Brilliant! Thank you very much for covering all the rides in a day. This helps with planning. Would love to see you talk about the Tiki room and do a similar video but for attractions and also do a video for Disney Sea too! Keyword: ride.
Did it feel weird going to theme park alone? I wanted to visit TDR on my solo travel but being alone while waiting for the queue sounds boring, no one to talk to and playing on phone makes me worried about the battery.
Not at all, in fact I usually prefer it! While I do love going with friends and family, I get to do what I want on my own schedule. Buy yourself a portable battery for your phone (they also have portable batteries to rent in the Parks). Thank you for watching!
Disneyland seems like a fun place but it seems unless you have a plan beforehand, you won't get to experience a lot of it in a day. The wait times, the location, and how much time you have seem to be important to think about before going. Thanks for showing us a video of you going on as much as you could! I think it's awesome how many you were able to go to in a day. Ride

Were these wait times due to the pandemic or did I just go at a terrible time? ^^;; I went last wednesday (June 28th) and everything always had at least a 20 minute wait but usually 30+. Beauty and the Beast at its lowest was I think 70 minutes but mostly 90+ iirc. The only ride I recall that was like 10 minutes was Gadget's Go Coaster. I should have had the thought to go during the pandemic but for whatever reason I didn't. lol. I did go to universal during it and got to ride Harry Potter like 3 or 4 times with most of those being pretty much walk on which was amazing, so I have no idea why I didn't think "Oh yes, I should go to Disney too". But ... eh, missed opportunity. :(
Hi TDR Explorer! Greatly appreciate your posts! Planning a visit to Tokyo Disneyland tomorrow. Bought your Tokyo Disneyland guide. I have a question about the strategy of seeing Beauty and the Beast first. At 5:30 of your post, it seems Beauty and the Beast was at 35 mins (assuming around lunchtime?). Instead of waiting 60+ mins for Beauty and the Beast at the beginning of the day, should we wait until around lunchtime?
It's possible, you just have to not talk to the camera so much like I did haha. Thank you for watching, Nora! P.S. I saw your comments across my other videos, I truly appreciate it!
jesus.... me and my friend went to the disneyland in paris and in 2 days we didnt do half of the rides....the wait time for the least popular rides were like 50 min.... i wished it was like this in paris too.
For whatever reason I wasn't subscribed to you when I thought I was already? Either way I love your videos, I'd love to visit TDR someday! For now my goal is getting my boyfriend to WDW and Universal since he's never been to either! I've been to both once but a lot has changed since it's been so long, but I'm excited! If you ever read this, I hope you're having an amazing day!
It was great getting to see you Ride 'all' the rides in your home park! Hope you had a great time at the state side parks and Everything (!)😰 is expensive state side not just the parks...
TDR Explorer have you ever done the Paris Space Mountain it is insanely different it’s more like a different version of Aerosmith than Space Mountain If I came to Disney Tokyo I would definitely try and do and see everything that’s always my goal in theme parks. So hope I can get out there soon. Keyword: ride
I've done Space Mountain in Paris before! Last time I did it was before they refurbed it so it doesn't give you a massive headache. I rode it back in 2012 haha. thank you for watching!
When I visited Magic Kingdom at WDW last summer for my birthday, thanks to the lower capacity/park reservations and no Fastpass (or Lightning Lane as that had not been rolled out yet), it was one of the best visits I'd ever had to that park (and I've been a WDW regular since the late 70s). I was able to do all the attractions I wanted to go on (plus a few I hadn't planned on riding but did them because they had low wait times), plus had a nice sit-down lunch at Skipper Canteen. It was an exhausting day but was also totally worth it. Oh and.... RIDES!
Ride. I'm still hoping to be able to visit soon, I'm not interested in going on an official tour right now, just want to get back to TDR and explore Japan on my own. Hopefully it'll be soon while I can still afford to go with all of the rising prices on airfare and everything else these days. Hope to see you soon.
I really love Japan disneyland, I’m going there in Christmas. You should go in Christmas, the Mood in Disneyland will be probably better!! I’m going to Disneyland in Christmas :), did You see Anna in frozen 2? :)

Are masks required at Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea?
Hi TDR Explorer! Greatly appreciate your posts! Planning a visit to Tokyo Disneyland tomorrow. Bought your Tokyo Disneyland guide. I have a question about the strategy of seeing Beauty and the Beast first. At 5:30 of your post, it seems Beauty and the Beast was at 35 mins (assuming around lunchtime?). Instead of waiting 60+ mins for Beauty and the Beast at the beginning of the day, should we wait until around lunchtime?
I will definitely ride all rides!!! thanks for showing me that it’s possible in a day! XD
It's possible, you just have to not talk to the camera so much like I did haha. Thank you for watching, Nora! P.S. I saw your comments across my other videos, I truly appreciate it!
@@tdrexplorer Awww, thank you for noticing 😊😁
jesus.... me and my friend went to the disneyland in paris and in 2 days we didnt do half of the rides....the wait time for the least popular rides were like 50 min.... i wished it was like this in paris too.
idk if you will see this but you should consider going to everland in korea i went there as a child when i lived there and would love to re see it.
is there any vegetarian options at pan galactic pizza point?
We’re hoping to go to Tokyo Disney in May after Golden Week. Is this a good time to visit crowd-wise? What about the weather?
For whatever reason I wasn't subscribed to you when I thought I was already? Either way I love your videos, I'd love to visit TDR someday! For now my goal is getting my boyfriend to WDW and Universal since he's never been to either! I've been to both once but a lot has changed since it's been so long, but I'm excited! If you ever read this, I hope you're having an amazing day!
It was great getting to see you Ride 'all' the rides in your home park!
Hope you had a great time at the state side parks and Everything (!)😰 is expensive state side not just the parks...
Thank you for watching, Heather!
@@tdrexplorer thank you for the videos!
What’s the quietest day? Wednesday and Thursday?
I so wish they’d bring Beauty and the Beast to the parks here in the states! It looks so stunning!
What day of the week and month are you there?
TDR Explorer have you ever done the Paris Space Mountain it is insanely different it’s more like a different version of Aerosmith than Space Mountain
If I came to Disney Tokyo I would definitely try and do and see everything that’s always my goal in theme parks. So hope I can get out there soon.
Keyword: ride
I've done Space Mountain in Paris before! Last time I did it was before they refurbed it so it doesn't give you a massive headache. I rode it back in 2012 haha. thank you for watching!
Luigi that calzone looks good
It's pretty good!
I absolutely do want to try to ride as much as possible!
You're almost to 100k subscribers!
Oh and.... RIDES!
Great ending, "I'm so tired..."
20:49 “you don’t get as wet”. Covered in water 😂
hi can you get cd DVDs at Tokyo Disneyland
You earned a good tasty treat for getting all the RIDES in! What is your favorite treat at Tokyo Disneyland?
Pizza Spring Roll! I have a video with that and a few others if you want to check it out th-cam.com/video/Ha5O9Tgu9sI/w-d-xo.html
I didn't realize just how much this park is like Disneyland. I thought it was more like Magic Kingdom
Ride. I'm still hoping to be able to visit soon, I'm not interested in going on an official tour right now, just want to get back to TDR and explore Japan on my own. Hopefully it'll be soon while I can still afford to go with all of the rising prices on airfare and everything else these days. Hope to see you soon.
I want you to go in Tokyo Disneyland to sea rides next in Tokyo Japan 🇯🇵
I really love Japan disneyland, I’m going there in Christmas. You should go in Christmas, the Mood in Disneyland will be probably better!! I’m going to Disneyland in Christmas :), did You see Anna in frozen 2? :)
Looks like this was a fun day! Lots of rides! Also, Donkatsu Curry is one if my favorite dishes! I eat it all the time! :)
I’m so jealous! I want to go there 😮
