Love the effort and quality put into this video - this is informative and resourceful yet entertaining with how personal it is. I watched this over a span of 3 days haha. Just moved to the japan and started listening to your poscast also. Thanks for doing what you do!
Haha thanks friend! I’m so lucky that I get to talk about this place that I love and people actually want to listen to what I have to say! Glad that it’s helpful and people enjoy it.
It was long and I enjoyed every minute of it. Your voice reminds me of Dream Finder or the Mad Hatter. You are so enthusiastic. My only trip Sinbad was closed and so was SplashMountain. Great video I just subscribed.
Sorry for seeing this almost two weeks later, I was actually in California having a great time at Disneyland when you uploaded this, but great ranking!! Lots of rides I want to go on in your top 10. I was especially glad to see Splash Mountain so high on your list. I agree with all the wonderful things you said about it and I just really hope that The Oriental Land Company can keep it around for decades to come and that I’ll get to ride it someday. I definitely missed Splash Mountain when I was at Disneyland last week!
40:10 You're right the Gondolas very much hold special memories for me as it was my first ever ride on any Disney park. The biggest highlight for me was surprisingly not the extremely beautiful Venice theming nor was it the breathtaking view of Mt Prometheus, but rather the lovely staff members who went above and beyond to make this little boat ride even more special. They were so kind and helpful throughout the entire ride; they interacted and entertained the guests while we were in queue, the boatman sang a little song that actually led up to the big Mt Prometheus reveal, I don't think most of that ride would be memorable if it weren't for the incredible staff. Props to them
Ooh nice idea! The actual meet n greet areas are all pretty standard, but we do get some interesting characters roaming sometimes. Thanks for the suggestion!
this might be kinda stupid but what i think was maybe like jasmines carpets are there cause its maybe trying to mimic the movie where the grand castle is like surrounded by poorer areas.. or maybe its nothing at all idk hahah
I went to Disneysea right before the pandemic hit, and even though it was the busiest day imaginable, every ride, precinct and show I experienced left me speechless. Particularly Journey to the Centre of the Earth, Tower of Terror, and Indiana Jones
I’m not sure if you accept requests, but please do a video where you rank some of the former Tokyo Disney resort attractions, like the ones that no longer exist in the parks?
Always love hearing new ideas, so thanks! Might be tricky as the only defunct rides I’ve personally done are Space Mountain and soon Buzz (and I guess Swiss Family Treehouse if that never reopens?). Would be fun to dive into some of the history of the resort some time though, it’s not really an area I’ve talked about.
I love roller coasters, I have lined up for days of my life for roller coasters. I hate Raging Spirits. I spent one day at DisneySea (not enough time) and as night rollled around found myself at the back of the park and the alure of the temple and flames lighting up the night sky was impossible to ignore, I think the posted wait was 45 mins. Not only is the ride hidden from view, but so it the queue. It has the most deceptive queue I have ever experienced where you constantly think you are nearly there, and then you aren't. I think I lined up for two hours in the end and the ride could never live up to that wait, it's just not that sort of ride. Just tainted that ride for life for me, funny how experiences like that paint rides in different lights for all of us.
Loved the video can’t wait for my trip next year! I was trying to get the pdf but haven’t seem to been able to receive it any chance you could help me out?
it seems crazy to me that all the shows are only in Japanese. As someone who grew up at Disneyland Paris, all the shows are a mix of french and english. We also have the stitch character show and there's two every hour, one in english and one in french
I’m going Disney sea in a week but I don’t think journey to the centre of the earth will be open- GUTTED! I’m a big fan of 20000 leagues book, and disney film version. Plus Indiana jones ( temple of doom is my favourite). I’d Love to try out the sinbad ride, and hopefully get on ANY ride fantasy springs 😂
Center of the Earth reopens on 13/11/2024 so you’re right it’ll be closed 😢 Lots of other great stuff in the park though! You’re going to love Mysterious Island so much 🌋
Yeah but they’d lose annual passes, close at 9pm every night, have no ticketed seasonal events and have a bunch more rules to follow. The grass is always greener!
I went to Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea last month and really enjoyed it, but I still think Disneyland in California is better overall. My biggest gripe is the lack of character in some areas, like Adventureland. In Tokyo, it's too spread out with a lot of empty space, and the floors feel too clean and new. In California, the cracked, uneven floors give it more of an authentic adventure feel, which I prefer. But DisneySea is really something else, I do prefer Guardians of the galaxy mission breakout more than Tokyo’s tower of terror but I can’t lie the theming is really good on that ride.
Glad you pointed out the floors. It sounds silly but it’s one of my biggest gripes with Tokyo Disneyland. It seems like they’re in the process of updating the park bit by bit tho so I think in a few years it’ll all be much nicer.
No way Cali Disneyland is better than DisneySea. It is even arguable that Cali Disneyland is better than Tokyo Disneyland. I went to Cali Disneyland five times before going to Tokyo's for the first time. Yes, California has that nostalgic intimate feeling and slightly shorter queues, but the cast members, food, and ride maintenance in Tokyo is well above Cali. Even from my rose tinted glasses view of California Disneyland, I think Tokyo Disneyland is better.
@@bosansekali898 I was comparing Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland not Disney sea. Disney sea is on a whole other level and there’s really no other Disney park to compare it except for maybe MAYBE Epcot but that’s it. But yea you’re right about the maintenance part. All be it Disneyland in California is more of a local park so they do frequently fix/refurb rides since we would notice what’s working and what’s not. I love enchanted tale of beauty and the beast but I prefer rise of the resistance when comparing ride systems and show scenes but I do admit it’s beautiful while rise is fun
I’m so happy you enjoyed Tokyo Disney! I went there for the first time three months ago and I saw plenty of characters! At Tokyo Disneyland despite me visiting only world bazaar, Tomorrowland, fantasyland, and toontown, I got to see nearly 40 characters in a single day
Splash Mountain is forever top tier, the people who hate it especially the ones who call it "racist" really don't have appreciation for creative things
That would actually be so good I would love that. Would be weird having basically the same Stitch animatronic in 2 attractions at the same park though, but I’m not complaining! 😂
I think it’s commendable that Tokyo haven’t made all the negative changes the other parks have done. Replacing Splash Mountain, censoring pirates and Jessica Rabbit, ‘updating’ effects that don’t need updating. Wether you think these changes are right or wrong for the modern politically correct US parks, it’s important for the sake of preservation that Japan has refused to change in the same way. And for that reason Tokyo Disney has a special place in my heart. I hope they never change, they don’t need to.
The benefit of having a separate Japanese company in charge of operations, they have more veto power over Disney's dumber decisions (especially with the slew of more recent ones).

Thanks friend! And welcome to Japan!
I went in to Journey to the center of the earth blind, and assumed its drop was minuscule…then…
9/10, Great ride, never going on again.
it such a cool ride
Mate, thank you so much for such an in-depth video on the parks, I just adore how happy and excited you are to talk about the parks and its rides!

Great list. I like how Tokyo Disney resort has loads of clones and exclusive rides at the same time
It’s a really nice balance! Lots of nostalgia but also lots of great unique stuff too!
such a high-quality video. This deserves more likes
Very kind of you! I'm very happy with how the video is performing tho! :)

I’m so happy you did too! You must be so excited! Halloween is a great time to go 🎃
2 hour long theme park ranking, I love to see it. I'll check this out when I can.

What a compliment! I hope you can come back and ride Sindbad and Splash some time!
Thanks for this helpful rundown, in a few months Tokyo will be my first Disney park/s ever! Just enough to sell a ride, without too many spoilers.
Oh awesome! Exactly what I was going for, glad I could be helpful!
Thank you! This helps so much as I am visiting tomorrow !

Excellent point! They’re the best aren’t they 😍
please do a video on potential expansions to the Tokyo Disney resort
Ooh great idea! I’ve done one specifically about DisneySea but it would be fun to talk about where a 3rd park could go.
Omg, watching this slowly all day and the Anna & Elsa scene of playing as kids lined up perfectly with my kids watching frozen in the background😊

the stitch tiki room is my favorite one!!!
and i didn’t need the subtitles cuz a ton of the music is from the film and the tv show

Hmm I hadn’t thought of it like that… I really wish they’d built the palace and the Cave of Wonders to be honest, they’re both so iconic
On the country bears. My theory is that they wanted to showcase all 3 versions before potentially changing it to the musical jamboree version
Oof I hope not! I like Country Bears the way it is thank you very much

So surprised at Peter Pan being number ten. That ride made me the most emotional! Goes to show everyone’s experience is different.
It’s a glorious ride for sure!! So glad that you loved it.

Too bad no Cinderella Castle Mystery Tour anymore(I have a Hero's Medal from it though).
Wow!! You’re a hero! Amazing piece of merch to have. Sadly I never got to try it 😭
You'll be able to ride Splash Mountain in the year 2050. There's zero chance OLC will spend $100M+ to change it into something less appealing.

I wish the American parks would be handed over to OLC to handle them. DCA and park would get the love they rightfully deserve and need for decades.
